Has anyone tried this amp or any of the Valvetronix amps? I'm thinking about buying this amp and I wanted to see what other people thought about it.

Don't get it. Get a tube amp. What kind of music do you play? Do you gig/have band practice, or will this just be for bedroom practice? Is the Vox the most expensive amp you can get? Unless you are playing cleans at VERY loud levels un-miced, don't get a solid state amp. And if you do, a Roland Jazz Chorus will be much better for loud cleans.

Low/Mid Gain:
Peavey Classic
Crate Palomino
Fender Blues Deluxe, Hot Rod, all those amps
Traynor
Laney
Peavey Delta Blues

High Gain:
Randall RG50TC
Peavey Valveking
Traynor (with OD pedal)

I play mainly alternative/rock. Mainly modern so high gain is nice. But I also want to have a nice clean tone. I dont have a band yet (im thinking bout finding people to start one) but I want to get an amp that I can use at a gig not just small practices. I have 2 other amps(a line6 duoverb and a crate gtx212 i think) that i plan on selling to get a nicer amp. Those amps are solidstate and dont really have a tone that i am looking for. And I can probably spend about $700 - $800. Thanks.

With that kind of budget, I'm pretty sure you could find a used Marshall JCM800 combo, but if you can't get used or find one, then the Traynor would be my next choice. I'm pretty sure you'd have enough money over for an OD pedal IF you need one for hi-gain metal.

I was looking at the Peavey Valveking 212 and it looks pretty nice. Im thinking about buying it.

EDIT: I looked at the Traynor YCV50BLUE and i fell in love. Leaning mainly towards that right now

The Traynor YCV50BLUE would be perfect for your needs. Make sure to try it out first, and if it doesn't have enough gain on top, check out some Tubescreamers and such.
