Can you please fill out this survey. I'm not asking for ya'll to go off and write novels. I'd prefer you to answer this short and simple.

Thanks.

Do you trust male or female authors more? (Pertaining to the metaphysical instructional type books)

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read?

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation.

Do you trust male or female authors more? I distrust them both equally. Naw, in all honesty, I often don't even notice the gender of the authors.

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical. I don't feel like I've read enough of any one author to make a value judgment like that, though I do admire those who approach metaphysics and similar topics by going through academia, such as Dr. Gary Schwartz and Dr. Brian Weiss.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read? Err, don't judge me! I own 112 that are on my bookcase now, but I have 8 boxes in storage. Out of those I've only read maybe twenty or so, due to my college reading list.

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation.

Take every book with a grain of salt and compare sources! In a field as loosely defined and lacking strong empirical (scientific) backing as metaphysics, an author can say pretty much anything and get away with it. I'd advise people to stay away from Sylvia Browne's writings, for example.

Do you trust male or female authors more? Female.

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical. Phil Hine, for his down-to-earthness.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read? Own about 60, read almost all of them.

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation. None.

Do you trust male or female authors more? Doesn't matter to me.

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical. Definitely Phil Hine, I'm loving his work, even got his books on my Pocket pc as PDFs.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read? Um...300? Somewhere around there, they're all PDFs and word documents though.

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation.

ANYTHING by Sylvia browne, silver raven wolf, and theres a few others that I can't think of their names atm. The book of lucifer is pretty damn cheesy too.

I trust and distrust both equally, but in my experience I've noticed theres been a few more male authors that have written on things of interest to me.

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical.
I think it's relative. I'll say no one without specifications, cause I'm a b***h when giving 'good' ratings.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read?
"Real world" material ones I can hit someone with, not use F-Search on, are not "dictionaries" of/for something, and are not stories that are hidden occult knowledge (or so ficticious that they're only inspiring at best), I think I own 9. Using the same desription, I think I've read 6. (Palmistry, Astrology, and I.R. Golden Dawn ftl). Oh, with burrowed from different sources, around 20.

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation?
Um, I'd suggest to not read any of the ones I own without a decent amount of previous knowledge, or atleast other sources to compare with.

Do you trust male or female authors more?

Honestly, I don't really give a damned. The only instance where I might find their sex even remotely relevant is if they're writing on a topic that relates directly to their sex (e.g. the experience of childbirth or male ejaculation).

Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical.

I don't tend to read general metaphysics, but from what I have read more broadly, Bonewitz stands out in my mind amongst them for his categorization of the Laws of Magic alone, although the tone of the book can be irritating. His book "Real Energy" co-authored with his wife is also a cut above most of what I've run across. But like I said, I don't tend to read for general metaphysics at this time, I read to inform my religious path.

How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read?

Own? Not as many as you might think, especially depending on what you mean by 'metaphysical books.' Taking that to mean a book which you'd find in the "New Age" section at B&N or Borders, about a dozen if we're going with paper books. Read? Let's just say I've read enough that I'm long past keeping track.

Of the books that you have in your possesion, which book would you advise people not to buy because the book was giving misinformation.

I wouldn't advise anyone to not read or buy a book because of misinformation regardless of if I own it. You'd be hard pressed to find a book that doesn't have something in it that could qualify as 'misinformation.' Besides, discerning the line between truly factual misinformation and perceived misinformation (e.g. the person who believes the author is misinformed simply because they disagree with the author) is rather hard to discern. A reader simply needs to learn how to be discerning. Knowing, for example, not to trust the word of a New Age author on anything relating to science should be common sense.

female. males seem to be more imaginative and exaggerate even if only a bit.
Name one author you think has done exemplory in their job as an author of the metaphysical.
terry goodkind..... even though in the series he wrote everything was completely imaginative and impossible
How many metaphysical books do you own? Have read?
i don't think i own any

well, a book on the internet i found was on the JOS website which is pretty much a book in and of itself... well anyway i cant really discriminate against them because a few of the teachings on the website are real, but the entire website i would not recommend, if only because it is 95% unreliable.
