“First rule is that you do what I tell you to do, when I tell you to do it.”

Raleigh was explaining to group of wide, eyed trainees exactly what was expected of them. He stood in front of them, arms crossed, fingers tapping against upper arm in irritation. There was that worry in the back of his mind, that somehow all these kids were going to get killed and it was going to be his fault.

“Second rule, use your brains. I'm assuming you all have one. You will not run into a situation you cannot handle and then scream for me to get you out.”

Nothing difficult was even supposed to happen. This was just a bit of experience for them. But Raleigh looked as if they were about to walk into some life or death situation. Clearly he hadn’t taken his calm pills that morning.

“Third rule is that you had listen to what I say!”

He briefly closed his eyes. Yasuo was there, probably more of an interest than Raleigh himself, leaning slightly against his master’s legs, watching the youngsters with absolutely no interest whatsoever. Raleigh cleared his throat, looking vaguely uncomfortable. “Um, so… let’s try have a good time and learn a lot... any... questions?” Before anyone could even answer, he quickly added. “And if it’s something stupid, don’t bother, because I won’t answer."

"It's Raleigh." Ace stated, knowing full well that Keagan knew it was Raleigh and who Raleigh was, and understanding the unsaid question, "Uncle Charles put him charge. He's been an evolved for 8 years now and has fought these people and reported them in the first place an---" He hushed at Raleigh's glare.

"We're gonna have an official police officer backing us up too, to arrest them, right, and tote them away?" Ace asked. He already knew the answer was affirmative, so he went on, "How come? Aren't you supposed to be awesome enough to do that alone? Or does Uncle Charles really think that we're all four that bad of screw ups? It's one kid and his dad!"

"Oh, and you're first and last rules were the same."

It was unintentional that he'd just side-swiped Raleigh in a few insults, and unintentional that he sounded like a know-it-all, but there it was. Ace Edwards trying to be half-serious.

Keagan gave a shrug to Ace and tried to hide a grin at the other boy's comments. Sure, Ace, give the twins a hard time and then turn around and give Raleigh a hard time as well. Keagan gave a shrug to their 'leader'.

Kaden nodded to Raleigh, though he wasn't too sure of their own abilities. Sure, they had been training with Susan... but they still couldn't beat her up. Even when she wasn't armored. They sucked... the boy sighed and kicked at the ground at that thought. At least they were able to stay together longer now.

Raleigh had never doubted his ability to take care of himself, but looking after these three as well was going to be a task. He knew that if anything happened to any of them under his watch, he would have a hard time forgiving himself. Under his arrogant and confident visage, he secretly contained his worry that this wouldn’t go to plan, that there would be problems. Nothing ever seemed to turn out simple where evolved’s were concerned.

“Just do your best to focus on me… or those two, Ace. Keep out of the way and if your attention starts to switch to the enemy in a way you feel is undesirable than close your eyes and start counting backwards from ten. Just do your best to relax yourself. It will be fine.” Raleigh kept his gaze on Ace’s face. “Let me worry about Yasuo and his flammability levels, okay?” After clearing his throat Ra continued. “By the way, while we’re out in the field I need you all to refer to me as Legion. Keep that in mind.”

"Legion, got it." Kaden nodded, though he was glancing with a bit of concern at Ace. The boy seemed rather nervous about the whole thing. He was as well and Kaden knew without having to look that his twin was nervous as well. It was their first big thing and they didn't want to screw up. The last time they'd encountered an enemy... it hadn't exactly gone over very well. Hopefully, this time there wouldn't be video cameras around for Susan to use to torture them later with.

Keagan glanced at Ace. "We should call you Bunny." The boy grinned slyly, wishing he and Kaden had come up with a superhero name of sorts for themselves.

They were there. It was time to start. Here was the house, blessedly on a private sector and so not quite so crowded as other areas. Of course, in a city like Honolulu, even on the outskirts there was always the chance of someone seeing.

It was clear where the man and his presumed son where, assuming they sat in the lit room and not in one of the dark ones. All that needed doing was Raleigh to cue and the boys to follow suit.

The police officers, like the good citizens they were, were going to stay behind as backup alone. This was an evolved situation, afterall. Some of them didn't even know why they were there.


OOC: Ok, so we're going to post one big post in the other thread, so you can quote this one and edit to your liking, Ruriska, and Niki and I will add our bits then we will attack. =D

The twins were standing near Raleigh, ready for his signal. Upon receiving the nod, the twins merged together and Keagaden flashed a smile at Ace before heading after Ra and the large beast. It was time to kick some butts.

Raleigh's plan of attack was simple. They would make this as quick and painless as possible by using the element of surprise to take out the two people inside before they even knew what was happening. For this task Raleigh had created something bigger. The three ‘brothers’ he usually used were not heavy enough. He needed a creation that would be able to knock somebody with ease.

So there was now a large bulky beast standing beside him, shifting back and forth with its jaws half open. It did not resemble anything currently living, expect for perhaps having four legs. Its back was arched upwards; its legs were powerfully built and its head looked a bit, for lack of better description, like a crocodiles.

Raleigh had spent all night thinking up this fun new design. Clearly when Ra said quick and easy, he didn’t mean subtle. He was going to go straight through that lit window, lay them down flat and go home for dinner. Simple and easy.

Outside in the dark, Ra turned to look at Ace and the twins and gave a nod. Yasuo was standing protectively beside the youngest member of the group, a silent guardian. Well, no point in holding back. It was crash, bang time.

Ace had gone quieter and quieter the closer they got to this thing, and now looked to Raleigh with the eyes of someone that was purely looking up to an older and therefore better person. He would do this, of course, and was determined not to mess up, but--Well, the worried questioning he'd started earlier hadn't ended in his brain, and that much was clear. He didn't even manage a smile back at the twins, too busy already trying to concentrate on the right people.

Raleigh motioned for the twins to hold back at first. He gave his creation one more inspection and reconnected with it quickly, making a final adjustment. The snout shortened and bull-like horns rose up above its head. There, perfect.

He was deadly serious as he looked towards the house and uttered the word ‘Go’.

The creation instantly lurched forward, gathering speed quickly it thundered forward, bearing down upon the house. Head lowered and shoulders forward it burst through the window, shattering the glass everywhere. It was completely heedless of the destruction it caused, throwing its horns at the closest object inside.
