*~* Rules for the Guild*~*
It is advisable for everyone to read this thread through at least once. If anything is added to the thread, it will be evident from the title. Please do not post here. This is a thread for information only. If you have a question ask within the suggestions and feedback area, please.
General Rules for the Guild
1. The Gaia TOS still applies to Guilds, follow it.
2. All shops rules also apply to the guild.
3. Be kind and curteous.
RP And Housekeeping Rules/Guidlines
Here are a few things to keep in mind whilst RPing in the Guild, apart from the obvious - like be courteous, keep things IC, no god-moding, ICA=ICC and so on.
1. The main RP threads are for those looking to RP with anyone and everybody. For example, if a predator wishes to hunt, that predator could go to the main RP thread. The main RP thread is also for those areas not covered by the various herd lands. In short, if you are RPing in the Main Thread, EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE PRESENCE OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO COME ACROSS YOU ICLY. This doesn't mean you have to like them, but please don't go and RP in the main thread if you want to keep your little clique.
2. You may, if you wish, start a thread of your own for a particular RP. This will make things easier for you and the others involved in the RP to see what posts are where. But there are some housekeeping sub-rules about this.
a) Please have started no more than 1 RP thread at a time. You are more than welcome to wander into someone else's RP thread if they are willing to have you, but we don't want to clutter up the Guild with too many half-finished RPs. So, 1 at a time is the limit.
Note: This does not mean you cannot be part of more than one rp thread at a time. We only ask that each person only start one RP thread of their own at a time. And if you are the one to start a approved Herd/Pack thread it will not count as your one thread.
b) Naturally, anyone can start a new thread. Moving them may be a bit more difficult. When you have finished a RP and want the thread moved, please place a note in the title for staff to move it, and one of us will happily move the thread to be archived in the appropriate subforum area.
c) Please specify in the title of your thread if other people are welcome (IE: Include Public or Private in the title of your thread). That will make it easier for those looking for RP to know where they are welcome. Please also use the first post of your thread to clarify the setting of the rp and who all is welcome (if it is a private or open rp).
3. About Pride Threads.
a)Do not create a pride thread unless you have been given permission to do so and your pride is registered. See the pride thread for further details about this.
b)If you are in a pride together, you are expected to roleplay with those people. You are after all a part of the pride. So that means: no intentionally ignoring anyone! Sure, a mistake or two here and there is perfectly understandable. But if you'd rather not RP with other members of your pride, you might be better off having a loner character, or consider moving to a different pride.
4. Dream Dragons. Of course, dream dragons can go anywhere and anyplace, just like normal dragon. In terms of general RP, there really is no distinction. Of course, some prides may take a different view, but it's on an individual basis.
5. Any RP thread, herd or otherwise, that has not had any activity for over a period of two months will be moved and archived. If this has occured and the members of the pride, or the creator of the RP thread would like to reactivate their thread, please pm Tasah and she will unarchive it.

Q. How can I get a dragon?
A. The main way to get a dragon is through a flatsale or an auction. You can also get one from dreams, breedings, raffles, shop events, pet trades, or custom orders, but these are not so often!
Q. How long does it take your dragon to grow?
A. Well it can take about a week for it to hatch, after that It can take any where to two weeks. And after that around a month to elder if it grows to elder (flatsales and breedings will only grow to teen!) smile
There can be exceptions to this if you wish to hold off growing to roleplay your dragons growth that is welcome also.
Note: If you have a question about your dragon growing, please contact the colorist direct. As each colorist is responsible for their own growings, whether they be from flatsales, customs or pet trades.
Q. Can I give you another letter for payment if I don't have a sealed one?
A. Yes you may though I would prefer the unsealed I do not mind any type of letter smile
Q. Can I bribe you for a custom dragon?
A. Yes, you can. See the custom information under the sale section.
Q. So these pets are not RP-required? Then where do I RP?
A. You can RP in the main thread or in the Guild! However, please do note that if you want me to see anything you have RP'd, for example in the case of Dream Dragon, you will either need to RP in the Guild, or if you RP on the main thread then you will need to post a LINK in the main RP thread of the Guild (Not just page numbers, I need a link as I do not want to have to comb through all the pages to find your RP!)
Q. So you said that you can get special benefits from RPing! What did you mean by that?
A. Well the only way you can get your dream dragon is through RP. Also, there will be a special breeding given out every month for a couple that is clearly wanting to start a family and has been RPing lots!
Q. Do you take pet trades?
A. Yes, though it depends on the colorist. and what they are willing to accept. See their information areas on this, or ask them directly if nothing is listed. However, be prepared to offer a trade to any colorist that is wishing the type of pet you are wanting to trade.
Q. My pet is too big for my sig!! its over the KB limit!??
A. They are mostly saved as pngs, if they are too big for you sigs I ask you to save the pic change it to a jpeg yourself and host it on your own server... jpeg make pictures look crappy and so I don't save them under that.. OMG... How will I see my pet grow then?... Easy Just post it somewhere you can check on it such as your journal or a shop.. Other then that I can do nothing for you... I am not about to redue the entire list to jpeg's.

A. No. The answer is no. Don't even PM me asking for work. It's an automatic blacklisting. (Offers of help do not fall into this category, if you have something specific in mind. But generally asking for a job, particularly when I don't even know you, is a waste of my brain space to even read.... hence the blacklistable offence)
Q. Can I name my pet a name that has already been taken by someone else?
A. No. Please do not name your pet a name that is already taken by an existing dragon. Each dragon is unique and thus, should have a name all to themself!
Q. Can I change my existing dragon into a god or goddess?
A. No. You cannot change your pet into a god or goddess.
Q: What do you mean I can't get a free pet, you gave so and so one?!?!?
A. Staff members have the privalige and perk of being able to color dragons for themselves when the mood strikes them. As well as to color and gift pets to their friends on occasion. This is a perk of being on staff and putting all the work into the shop that the staff does.
Q. How do I go about finding a mate for my dragon? Can I advertise on the main thread?
A. No. Please do not turn the main thread into a pimping ground. There is a thread in the guild to post looking for mates.
Q. Can eggs/hatchlings flirt and plan a mated relationship for the future?
A. No. Eggs/hatclings have other things to worry about. There will be more than enough opportunity to RP flirting and relationships when they are teens. So please don't do it.
