Winter? Where'd it go? Why did all the mud have to melt and make him all the more miserable? The world really was out to get him, he could have sworn it. The solitude was what he really missed, for during that cold, somewhat miserable season... it was cold. Cold often kept the Indians inside and the Soquili out of his hair. Now that the weather had warmed up, all the snow had melted and even the bugs were back. If there was a season he hated most, it was Spring. Long ago, long before he remembered he could have liked Spring, chances are he did... Signs of new life, warm weather and flowers blooming often warmed any uni's heart. Except, perhaps... Andor.

What was he still doing here? He had no place in this world anymore, he was a disgrace to his own breed. Andor was no longer useful, he wasn't needed, all he was doing was taking up space. Not that it really mattered, they were all out to get them anyways... Everyone in the world had hidden intentions that always led to disaster, but no, he wasn't going to fall for their tricks anymore, he'd learned his lesson. He didn't need others to be happy, he was happier alone, and it was a good thing too... because there was no such thing as friendship anymore. There was no such thing as good creatures anymore, he was tired of the lies and back stabbers this earth was made up of. Maybe he wasn't tired of them, perhaps he was just... tired.

Sighing, the stallion trudged over to the side of the meadow, plopped down on the ground and laid in some tall grass. Dull, lifeless eyes peered up at the bright blue sky, body language saying his eyes weren't always so uninterested. Feeling the cold metal of the chains wrapped around his body made him shiver slightly, recalling memories he wished he could forget. With a shake of his head, messy mane flying in every which direction, Andor looked down at the ground. Was he being punished...? Had he once done something that he deserved to be punished for...? What was his crime? Why had his life gone so horribly wrong?...

Uni now a young mare was thoroughly enjoying the warm spring weather, as she trotted quickly through the meadow, every now and then kicking up her heels in a half-buck. Feeling happier than she had been in the previous months. It wasn't that she hadn't enjoyed winter, it was quite fun in it's own way, but this was her first spring, so everything was new to her and quite fasinating. She slowed to a walk, letting the sun warm her back, and the cool breeze toy with her short mane.

Now that she saw the seasons changing before her eyes, she wondered what the other seasons might be like, everything was new to this little mare. She wandered in and out from between the quickly growing shrubs, now green after the snow melted, and felt the cool grass beneath her hooves. It was only as she wandered from between a sapling and a large bush covered in tiny pink flowers, that brushed against her coat and stuck there. That she saw a yellow and black stallion not more than twenty feet from her. From where she stood, she could see that he was staring at the ground, she didn't know if he had heard her. She heard a faint rattling, and then noticed the chains rapped around his body, along with the scars not far from them. After her pink eyes had examined him for a few moments, her gaze returned to his head, as it was not polite to stare as she had once been told. "Hello." She said brightly, as she lowered her head, trying to catch his gaze.

Wrapped in his own thoughts, the stallion hadn't heard the mare approaching. Much to his dismay, he soon found her in front of him and quickly stumbled to his feet, nostrils flaring. His blue eyes flashed, still dull in color, but they showed fear and regret, strong emotions even this stallion couldn't suppress. Slowly backing away, the stallion's lion-like flicked behind him slowly and he continued to stare, not saying a word. It was strange, because every word he would have needed to say were already being said. Such things were, "Go away," and "Who do you think you're kidding?" This once lovable stallion was broken and now couldn't even trust his own kin.

Everytime someone approached him he backed away or tried to scare them off. He didn't have the heart to trust any longer, he didn't have any more bits and pieces that could be hacked away at. It wasn't much of a problem, he no longer enjoyed company, he was a loner and not a pretend one. No, Andor was the type that needed to be left alone at all times of day... he was the type of stallion to say no to even crickets chirping to him in the morning.

So what was the problem? What was he doing here still and why did others insist on socializing with him? Was peace and quiet a rare thing nowadays or did the world get pleasure out of annoying him? He suspected it was the second. Incase she hadn't gotten the point by his glaring eyes, the dark uni angrily asked, "Can I help you with something or do you just enjoy annoying others?"

Her head shot up as soon as he started to get up, which tossed her mane into her bright pink eyes. She had never before met such an unsocialable Soquili, as she watched him flick his tail behind him, like an annoyed cat.

Having grown up alone, she craved conversation, and was almost always lonely. So to meet such a strange Soquili, was unnerving as well as intriguing to the young mare. For several moments she considered how to answer him, or if she should leave since he didn't seem to be up for a chat. But curiousity won in the end, so she would stay for now. "Oh no, I don't need any help. I just wanted to say hello, I don't think that is annoying, just polite." She said calmly, with some emphasis on her last word.

"It's annoying," he said quickly and turned away from the mare. Andor flinched slightly as he turned, knowing the mare could do anything while his back was turned. At that point in time he wasn't sure he really cared, if she wanted to attack him... so be it. The stallion had little left to live or fight for so he no longer cared about most of the things around him. His tail never seemed to stop flicking behind him, his golden ears were plastered against his skull, showing just how angry he really was and his dull, blue eyes held no real emotion. "I suggest you go... be polite... elsewhere," the stallion growled and began to walk away. He wasn't in the mood to socialize or be in any sort of situation where he had to speak to another Soquili.

That said, he stared down at the ground, dark hair falling to cover his face while chains jingled as he walked. The sun shone down on his golden body, showing off the dull areas where scars had been left. It was easy to see this stallion was aching on the outside and in. Most didn't pay attention enough to realize that he needed to be left alone... this wandering misfit needed time to himself. Was there a cure for a broken spirit? Would it heal over time...?

Some secrets just had to stay a secret.

Uni watched as he began to walk away, her own tail flicking back and forth behind her, as she considered what to do. He wasn't a skinwalker or kalona, but he certainly didn't act like a normal Unicorn, which puzzled the young mare. Bright pink eyes followed him as he walked away, her eyes showed her boundless optimism, and curiousity. She wanted to find out more about this stallion, but it was quite apparent he didn't want her there.

But he didn't seem inclined to hurt her if she stayed near by, so she began to trot forward and then past him, always watching him to see what he might do. She said nothing as she watched from about ten feet away, making it apparent she wasn't going to hurt him, and was also far enough away that she could get away if need be. She matched his pace, but didn't look at him, instead she stared up at the sky. No harm in just quietly walking along, at least in her mind.

Chains jingled as the stallion walked, his head was so low that his long, dark, mane dragged along the ground. He no longer cared what was going to happen, he didn't have a care in the world about the mare behind him. Ignorance was bliss, she didn't seem to be a threat or she would have attacked him by now so why didn't she leave him alone? Did the strange colored unicorn fail to realize that he wanted to be left alone? It seemed she was dunce, just what he needed... he was now glad he had refrained from conversing with her.

As she began trotting past him and watching him he rolled his eyes beneath his thick, black, mane, if she was going to play games he didn't care. Keeping his head low and his walking pace consistant, Andor continued his 'getaway' even though he wasn't exactly getting away.

Times like these made the stallion wonder why he even bothered, the rest of the world's population seemed to be quite pathetic. Sadistic, annoying and idiotic was how he explained them. This mare seemed to have all of those qualities, for she wouldn't leave him alone when he clearly wanted to be by himself. His long tail flicked behind him, irritated, but he never made a sound, the stallion was determined to ignore the annoying thing he'd somehow picked up.
