Heyla, whether you live in the Sates or don't, the race for president this year is absolutely huge! And I just met Barack Obama! And shook his hand! TWICE! It was absolutely amazing and I can't believe that I just listened to him speak from 10 feet away and ah! Ok...I'm slightly calmer now.
I met Bill Clinton earlier (yeah...two weeks ago) as he went on the rounds for Hillary, which was also really interesting, but not nearly as insanely cool.
If anyone wants to talk politics, this is the thread to do it in!
I won't push my opinions, but I'll talk about them, and if anyone wants to know more about what Obama or Clinton talked about, I'll more than gladly share, because that's what it's all about. 3nodding
EEEEEEEHH!

I'm actually kind of curious if Obama and/or Clinton actually gave straight answers about any of the big/controversial issues or side-stepped them.

Hey you...
Sadly, I can't even pretend to know anything about the canidates in the presidential race or where they stand on 'the issues.' Therefore, I can't say who would get my vote, if I was eligible to vote. Either way, I imagine it would be exciting to shake the hand of either canidate, history in the making with those two. = )
...BAM! BAM! BAM!

To Lykii: I was actually impressed that both Mr Clinton and Mr Obama were actually giving straight answers. They were both very detailed, too. Bill was saying how Hilary has planned out to the dollar to get everything she thinks the country needs accomplished and Obama really focused on how we need to create a country to fight for, not focus on problems to fight against. He really doesn't seem like he has any fear, though. Bill was a lot more cautious and wouldn't answer a question my friend had.
To Wolfy: I never used to be interested in politics, but after doing a political debate for our humanities class for the last election, I became really interested in it! I love going to the websites. This one is different than the other, I think. Cause there are actually good candidates!

i am all for Obama. i don't really know why, maybe it's because he reminds me of Tiger Woods...but anyway, he's a great speaker and sounds like he could do a lot for this country. i really can't see McCain as president. he just hasn't done anything to prove to me that he could help0 this country. and don't get me started about Hilary. first of all, i thikn she's a man, second, it looks like if you touched her face, it would hurt. seriously her face is shiny and hard looking like plastic. and i don't want another Clinton in office. there should be no dynasties in America and i certainly don't want another Clinton in office. GO OBAMA!!!

rofl rofl rofl Well, I am on a canvassing team for Obama, so I can't really say so much about the candidates like that, but I can say that McCain scares me a bit and everything he says if full of war-words, and that I think Hillary's stuff is far too idealistic to actually work in a capitalistic society.
But yeah, I totally agree with you! Plus...Obama shook my hand. Twice. mrgreen
