I will probably never call you by your real name even if I know it, and will most likely abbreviate your screen name. But for those of you I think should have one, I've given you nicknames.
The naming of someone is often something special and deeply thoughtful. You won't name your kid the first thing that pops into your head, so why would you name your friends that way?
I don't give just anyone a nickname and I don't give people nicknames often. This thread is for the purpose of reference so that everyone knows who I'm talking to/about.
