The night has settled
The blackness blankets the sky
The only light is that of the moon that flies.
Creatures hunt, pounce and prowl
I stand in the night and growl
Menacing stares and hisses
I with my slashing claws that no animal misses
One quick howl and frightened scurrying
All of the creatures are hurrying.
They want to escape my wrath, my terror, my skill
Or else they become the kill.
I belong to the night,
with my fearful bite
nothing can get in my way.
But I scream as breaking day
lights up the world
And i become curled
as the light peirces everything in sight
and now it's the opposite of who's in fright
The night has shattered and so have I
for I belong to the night which gave a meek cry.
You animals enjoy it, for I'll be back
once the world turns my favorite, black.
