My boyfriend of three monthes just told me that he loves me.
And I'm not sure if he's serious or not.
It was online and he's like "I love you Taylor" and signed off to go to work.
He doesn't joke about things like this either.
Amd I'm kinda scared.

Edit: He almost never calls me by my full name unless he's serious.

I'd say that that is very sweet, though! It's kind of a weird place to say it, I mean, online isn't very personal in my opinion. But maybe he's trying to take another step in your relationship. To you, that probably feels awkward and that's why you're scared. I know if it was me, I'd feel the same way.

Also he could have figured you wouldn't think about it too much. I mean, at my school at least, everyone says "I love you", but more as a general comment. It's so overused, its not like the full meaning, except if you can tell if the person really means it (if I'm making any sense). That's why things over the internet are so hard, you can't see them face to face so you won't know.

Well, I don't know how much this helps, but my advice would be to not think about it too much, and the next time you see him face to face, see if he says it again, and how he says it.

I'm not sure what it is you need help with...is it that he's said he loves you and that statement has taken it to the next step? Are you scared of making the leap or of taking it as a joke or as something serious and being wrong?

Same and agreed.

Depending on his age, "love" is often misaken.
Which is most likely the case in this situation.
You will just have to tell him that "love" should take time, and that you don't want to rush anything incase it is "not meant to be".
The true sign if someone loves you is that they will wait for you..
If you tell him you don't want to get caught up in the whole "love" thing, but you want to stay with him, his attitude may change.
