Shula loved her homeland. Only those who had ever been to her pride could understand its wonder, its wholeness. She wouldn't trade it for the world. But there were times, just like her father before her, where she wished to travel to the outside. She had not wandered far today. No, she was not comfortable moving more then an hour or so lope's away due to her son at home. Such was the life of a single mother. But she didn't mind. She was content to sit back, resting in the swaying grasses and turn her head towards the dark horizon. The sun would be rising soon.

Kenya didn't sleep at all that night. It was his first night away from home, and he was a little intimated by the amount of space that the lands brought. There were only a few trees scattered as far as he could see, and the amount of stars in the sky that night surprised even him. He wasn't aware that there were that many stars in the sky at one time.
As he walked, he noticed a dark figure up ahead. He hoped that they wouldn't notice him, afraid of getting in a fight. However the wind was not in his favor as it blew right bast him and headed straight for the figure.

Shula took a deep breath as the wind blew in her direction. The savannah always smelled different from the jungle. Intermixed with the fresh scent of morning grasses, however, was that of another lion. She turned her head slightly, shifting her sky blue eyes in the darkness to peer in the wind's direction. Though she could not see who it was, she knew they couldn't be too far.
She briefly diverted her eyes back to where the sun would crest the landscape, "Out for a morning walk as well?"

He winced a little when he saw the figure turn, but relaxed slightly when she spoke. "Sadly that's not the case." He said as he took a few steps closer to the figure he now determined was a female. "It's my first night away from home and I couldn't sleep." He said as he sat down a few feet from the dark figure.
