Long ago, The sword was forged by a man.
The sword at first did not bear any significant power, but after countless years of being tainted by hatred and bloodshed, it turned into a demonic weapon that fed on human souls and controlled the one who wielded it.
The sword, Soul Edge, became legendary as it appeared, splattered through the pages of history.
Once, a great hero happened upon the legendary blade.
The hero was able to wield the powerful blade with his strong will. With the help of Soul Edge, the hero brought peace and prosperity to the land, and was hailed as a king to the people.
There are, however always those who oppose great men.
Jealous of his father's power, The king's own son unwittingly took the cursed sword for himself. The prince was overwhelmed instantly by its evil powers, and lost his self-will to Soul Edge.
The king fought against the deranged prince, Shattering Soul Edge with a mighty blow. Unfortunately, the attack took his son's life as well. In the aftermath of the ordeal, the cursed sword was nowhere to be found.
The evil sword vanished from history, and was immortalized.
The kind was devastated by the loss of his son. Most would have submitted to their grief, but the king did no such thing. The king knew that one day Soul Edge would return to wreak havoc on the world. This ill omen steeled the king's resolve. For the sake of the world, as well as his redemption, he vowed that he would create a holy sword that could fight against the evil blade's powers. With the aid of the greatest sage of the era, the king began work on his grand plan.
The King used purified fragments of Soul Edge itself to create the holy sword. After many failed attempts, he eventually succeeded in creating the holy blade. However, in order to create the blade, the king had to sacrifice his life, right before he died; he told the sage who helped him create the blade, to name it Soul Calibur.
And thus the Holy Blade was brought into existence.
Soul Calibur had to be protected until the day Soul Edge returned. A sect of guardians was created to carry out the late king's will. These guardians lived in seclusion, passing down the sword secretly from generation to generation. Each time strong warriors and those who had evil intentions came to possess the evil sword, Soul Calibur appeared to fight it and keep it at bay. Stories of the never-ending struggle between the swords were passed down from one generation to another, giving birth to countless legends and fairy tales.
Over time, eventually the holy sword was lost to history while the cursed sword became even more famous, unknowing of the blade's true disposition. In reality, Soul Calibur was not really lost. In order to protect the blade, the guardians transformed the holy blade, only showing its true form to those who were fighting the cursed blade. Until those times came, it was stored in a place called the Li-Seng Shu Temple, a place renowned for its martial arts.
Over time, in order to further hide the blade, Soul Calibur's name was changed to Krita-Yuga. And with the name change, the knowledge of the blade's true purpose was lost. There were also two other treasures of the Li-Seng Shu. The Kali-Yuga, a staff which absorbed various forms of energy, and the Dvapara-Yuga, a mirror which purified evil energy, were also stored with Krita-Yuga. These three items were known to the temple, as the Holy Trinity.
Unknown also to the temple, the staff and the mirror were also strongly linked to the holy sword. In order to protect the sword, the guardians had to keep it away from anything evil, as the sword would revert to its unholy original form through absorption of evil energy, or hatred, so extra caution was required.
So, the guardians made Kali-Yuga in order to strengthen the blade by absorbing evil energy that had come had come near the blade, while Dvapara-Yuga was made to purify the blade if Soul Calibur became contaminated with evil energy. Thus the items were brought to the temple. If Soul Edge returned, the holy blade would already be in capable hands.
Only one man remained who knew the truth about the true purpose of the three items. This man, known as Edgemaster, refused to speak, and the truth stayed behind his wall of silence.
It wasn't until the sixteenth century that Soul Edge appeared once again. Rumor had it that it all started when two blades appeared together in a private auction. It is still a mystery why Soul Edge was two blades instead of one. It was known however, the evil of the swords could be reawakened of they fell into the wrong hands.
Those hands belonged to the dreaded pirate Cervantes de Leon, who continued to wreak havoc on the Atlantic seas. Cervantes was originally hired by a weapons merchant to find the cursed blade. That day, Cervantes attacked an antique dealer's ship and seized Soul Edge.
He grasped the hilt of the blades and was instantly possessed, going on a murderous rampage. Cervantes not only slaughtered his crew, but also the entire inhabitants of a Spanish harbor town that served as his stronghold.
Soul Edge's twisted desires were temporarily satisfied by the feast of the souls by the bloody massacre, and the blades rested in Cervantes' hideout. Over the course of the next twenty years, tales of the evil sword spread throughout the world. It was considered by some as the "Sword of Salvation." A sword that could be used to save and protect their homelands from invading countries. Others called it the "Phantom Blade." An unbeatable blade that also was the key to immortality. And then there were those who sought Soul Edge as the "Ultimate Weapon", and use it or personal gain, all of which did not know the true nature of the blades...
The chosen few who found Soul Edge cursed their misfortune. Cervantes, who had become an evil servant of the blade, stood before them and devoured their souls. It was not until many years later that that someone appeared to defy the demonic blade.
That person was named Sophitia. Holy warrior, who along with 23 others received an oracle from the Greek god of the forge, Hephaestus, to destroy Soul Edge. After a fierce battle with Cervantes, she was able to shatter one of the cursed blades. She was, however, showered by fragments of the sword and was gravely wounded. Just when Cervantes was about to strike the death blow, Taki, the "Shadow Huntress of Demons", appeared to stop him.
Overwhelmed with wrath from the loss of one of his twin blades, Cervantes engaged her in battle. Although he fought Taki with a murderous rage, Cervantes lost to the Demon Hunter in the end. Taki obtained a fragment of Soul Edge, and with her mission complete, departed with the badly injured Sophitia, whose life hung by a thread.
The remains of the evil blade however, had not lost all of its power. All should have ended there, however a young knight arrived at the Spanish harbor town and found what appeared to be the corpse of a pirate captain next to a bizarrely shaped sword.
Soul Edge was waiting for this moment. Manipulating the dead body of Cervantes, Soul Edge challenged the young knight, Siegfried to a duel. However, the sword was no match for Siegfried's madness, and Cervantes was defeated again. The cursed sword fell into an unstable state as it lost its host. Siegfried, mesmerized by the powers of the blazing hellfire, reached for the blade.
Unnoticed by all, so began a new nightmare...
As Siegfried grasped the hilt of Soul Edge, He could not contain the evil of the sword. Evil energy began to flow out of his body, and the energy pierced the heavens as a column of while light and spread throughout the world.
This phenomenon, soon to be called "Evil Seed", was the cause of much mayhem throughout the world. The effects of the Evil Seed were felt all over the world, and they all had similarities. Those that received the surge of energy lost their sanity, became vicious, and had an uncontrollable destructive urge. Many were overwhelmed by this and became deranged fighters.
The previously mentioned Li-Seng Shu temple was also directly his and decimated by the Evil Seed. There was one in the temple however, who managed to keep his sanity during the occurance. His name was Kilik. an apprentice monk, and possessor of Kali-Yuga. The purifying powers of Dvapara-Yuga, which he received from his sworn sister, protected him for the evil energy.
This young man, let by fate, would later play a large roll in the struggle between the the swords...
The Azure Knight who terrorized all of Europe, Nightmare...
It was said that he took lives indiscriminately - Fierce warriors, women, children, all fell victim to the swing of his deformed arm. And this was not far from the truth.
The creature armed in blue, Half man, Half monster, was the sight of Siegfried consumed by Soul Edge. This knight, now known as Nightmare, went on insane killing sprees to feed the evil blade human souls in order to regain the swords original powers.
Gradually, a strange group formed around the Azure Knight. Nevertheless, there were a few within the group with different motives.
Asteroth, the creation of a heretic cult, the fighter Lizardman, and the bearer of a unique blade Ivy, were those few. Although they all cooperated with Nightmare for various reasons, they were not necessarily partners- just a loose collection of beings with overlapping interests.
There was a change in fortune as they all gathered in Ostrhesinburg Castle, stronghold of the Azure Knight.
Three souls arrived in this land to defeat Soul Edge, the source of evil. Coincidentally, Ivy discovered the secret behind her birth. She also learned that Nightmare deceived her. Now her vengeance was aimed at the Azure Knight. Taki also appeared with her own objectives. Asteroth also lurked with his own intentions. All these ambitions intertwined, and the situation rapidly evolved.
And at that moment, the cursed blade was almost resurrected.
Of the three that arrived in Ostrhesinburg Castle, only Kilik, possessor of Kali-Yuga and Dvapara, and Xianghua, possessor of Krita-Yuga, reached Nightmare. Krita-Yuga revealed its true form as Soul Calibur as if response to Soul Edge's power, and a fierce battle raged.
After an intense battle, Soul Calibur was victorious as it shattered Soul Edge. But as a result, the spirit sword was lost to the abyss created by the cursed blade. All seemed to have been put to rest, but the wheels of fortune still turned.
Siegfried was now released from the command of Soul Edge.
The evil blade was too weak to retain control over him, and he regained himself. He now realized what he had done and he now felt the guilt of all the lives he had taken. The pain was so intense that it threatened to destroy him. But in the back of his mind, he knew that Soul Edge was trying to recover its powers.
Siegfried felt that evil of the blade had to be ended once and for all, his will and determination kept him moving through this traumatic experience. But the influence of the evil blade was strong...
Soul Edge took over Siegfried's body while he slept and attempted to murder and feed on human souls. At the same time, innocent bystanders picked up the fragments of the shattered and weak Soul Edge, sucking them into the vortex of evil. As time passed, the fragments of the demonic blade were passed from person to person, and were eventually scattered throughout the world.
Siegfried eventually fell under the influence of Soul Edge once again, and slowly transformed into a being worthy of being called Nightmare...
He was once again Nightmare, repeating the same atrocities in order to feed Soul Edge to revive its true powers.
As Nightmare plundered powerful souls, and recovered the shattered fragments of the blade, the cracks in Soul Edge healed one by one. Nightmare chose Ostrhesinburg, the cursed castle as the restoration of the sword's true powers.
The time was nearing...
Then there appeared a lone man hiding in the desolate castle. This man, Raphael, had come to this land in search of Soul Edge. Inevitably, the two faced off in the ruins of the castle chapel. The place became lit with sparks and blood.
At the end of the viscous battle, Nightmare stood victorious. Raphael sustained a fatal wound and collapsed. As the Azure Knight stepped forward to finish off his opponent, Raphael attempted a desperate strike. The strike he unleashed with his rapier, hit the center of Soul Edge.
Nightmare let out an inhuman cry.
When it was all over, Siegfried looked over in a daze in what he had done. It had been a reflexive action. A sword appeared along with the light. As of guided by something, he took the sword in his hands and drove into the evil eye that was the core of Soul Edge.
That sword was the holy sword, Soul Calibur, which had been trapped by the power of the evil sword. However, the blow was not enough to destroy the evil sword. The evil energy of the evil sword had quieted, but the spirit sword had gone silent as well, as if it had lost all its power. The swords had seemed to sealed each other, making them both useless. Siegfried, seeing that this wasn't enough, smashed the detestable blue armor he wore as Nightmare, and took both swords with him.
However, the evil of Soul Edge was not so easily stopped.
In the instant that the spirit sword pierced the cursed sword, no one noticed the evil flame of the sword flowing out. Over the years of countless battle and slaughter, the evil sword apparently obtained a soul of its own. This invisible entity- the will of Soul Edge- chose to cling on to the armor that Siegfried left behind. The armor that spread terror throughout Europe. The armor of Nightmare. Though without the sword, it could not even move the bodiless host. All it could do was wait for an opportunity...
Some time later, a man with an enormous scythe appeared in the chapel, and saw that the armor had a soul all it's own. The man went over to the remains of the armor and seemed to have a wordless conversation with the sword. Within a few moments, the man agreed to help. Using some kind of sacred art, he he combined the evil energy still within the armor, and combined it with the spirits trapped within the chapel, and weaved them within the armor. When it was all over the Azure knight was reborn, and in his hand a bizarrely-shaped sword that resembled the cursed sword, appeared in its deformed hand.
Seeing that the ritual worked, the man with the scythe melted into the shadows, his face emotionless.
Seeing that this was the first time that the spirit of Soul Edge was it's own being, it started its interaction with the world with the only action it knew and wanted to do. It started a rampage across Europe, killing every human it could find, and devouring their souls in order to sustain its new body, and to increase its own power. Eventually, its twisted compass that directed it would eventually lead to its former host and the freeing of Soul Edge itself.
And at that moment, the wheels of fate would turn again, in the never-ending battle between the the two swords...

Sword Master- The embodiment of courage who has traversed thousands of battlefields. A living legend with no equal, bringing fear and awe to all that bear witness to this mighty warrior.

With the exception of the Sword Master Class, You will only be able to use ONE weapon class at the start, so choose your beginning weapon wisely. Also, each class, with the exception of Sword Master, can also unlock two other weapons. The way to do it is secret, though it is rumored to be unlocked by fighting certain people...
How to unlock your two other weapons.
The way to unlock your other weapons is simple. Fighting. You must fight a set number of battles to acquire the next weapon.
Second Weapon= Fight 10 battles.
Third Weapon= Fight 20 battle.
Note that you do not have to win, and that the battle counter returns to zero when you gain your next weapon. And yes, you can choose which weapon you want.

Description: A man with dark-going-on-grey hair, with beard stubble along his jawline. He has a small scar across his left cheek. He wears silver full plate armor that has a lot of scratches on it. He has hazel eyes and a semi-muscular build.
Bio: After traversing battlefields for years, searching for what he heard as the 'ultimate weapon' (Soul Edge) Drake finally decided to return home to his wife Miranda and six children (whose names are in six different weapons he wields). He had returned at the age of 36. He may have been home and away from the fighting, but what he experienced had never left him. A saying once said to him was something akin to 'Once you have the spirit of the Warrior, you can never leave the battlefield.' He didn't think this, but a year later tragedy struck him. After a few hours out of hunting for food for his family, he returned to find his village under attack by a group of warriors. He fought as many off as he could while trying to get to his home. By the time he got there; three fighters had killed his wife and four of his children. In a battle that he almost lost his life in, he killed those three attackers and saved his children, eventually banding together with several of the other talented fighting residents of his village and fended the rouge group off. Wracked with the guilt of not being able to save most of his family, Drake left his remaining two children in the care of his brother, Devin, and went into the wilderness to train himself once again. Only a few months ago while at a town far from his own he heard once again about an 'Ultimate Weapon', that could bend the world to the users liking if used correctly. Remembering his old quest for the weapon, and thoughts of his deceased wife and children; Drake set out to find this 'Ultimate Weapon'. It wasn't long after that once again he was attacked, this time by people he realized looked similar to the ones that attacked his village. After he kill one of the members the group fled. On the body of the dead opponent he found what looked like a shard of metal; and even he could sense the energy that came off of it. The power of it made him think it could be part of something greater, but just as dangerous. He thought about it as he went home for a temporary time, enough time to tell his brother and two children that he was setting out to make things right again; despite his brothers' protests of it. Drake's own 'Spirit of the Warrior' had been re-ignited; now he'll stop at nothing to get the weapon and do what he consideres 'making things right again'; which at the top of the list is destroy all of the rouge attackers and bring his family back to life.

Killed by thieves when he was 8 ) Master (Toki of the Fu-Ma Ninja Clan) Description:  Bio: His real name, has been long since forgotten. His past, a bloody massacre. His troubles began when he was 8, when in the chill of a January afternoon, he was forced half-naked from his home when he saw his parents killed by thieves, and in turn, killed them. but not before receiving the x shaped scar on his right cheek. he was eventually found and barely made it back to the nearest town with his life. Unfortunatly he was badly frostbitten all over his body. Even though the feeling came back to his skin, It stayed black forever. Not knowing what to do with his life, the young orphan searched all over Japan for a way to help others, when he fell on the doorstep of the Fu-Ma Ninja clan. He was taken in by them and he studied the way of the Ninja and Demon Hunting. He was unusually good at the Demon Hunting part, ever since the incident that changed his life, he was able to see any and all evil inside of a person or thing. but when he touched the evil thing or person with his bare skin, he would cunvulce and feel immense pain. he was in the Clan for 100 years, when he was sent on a mission to track and defeat a rouge Ninja from their clan, named Taki, and bring back her demonic ninja sword, Mekki Maru for purification. Though when he first left, he had a strange feeling around his master. He was acting strange too. Almost Demonlike... A short time after he left he sensed a powerful evil aura a short distance away. An aura that powerful had to come from the sword! He quickened his pace and arrived to see a giant hole open up in the sky, and spat out a man and immediately closed. When he approached the spot where the man landed, he felt the evil aura get stronger. He his himself so he see what the man was up to. The man got up and looked around with a look of confusion and worry on his face. Night Shadow decided to go and talk to the man. The man looked hesitant to talk to Night Shadow, but eventually calmed down and introduced himself as Zero. Zero then asked some weird questions concerning the country, the date, and the year. Then he realized something. he wasn't from this Time! he said he was from the year 20XX , and he got to this time from this metal fragment he found. As soon as Zero took out the fragment, Night Shadow immediatly sense the evil emenating from it. And he saw these fragments before. Master Toki was collecting them! That's why he seemed so Demonlike! the fragments must have transformed him without even realizing it! Without even thinking about the fragment Zero had, Night Shadow started to rush back to the Fu-Ma Temple. He had to save Master Toki! Weapon: Dual Kunai Weapon Name: Guilt and Pain

Name: Siegfried Schtauffen Age: 23 Race: Human Gender: Male Blood Type: A Class: Knight Family:Father, Frederick (Killed by Siegfried) Mother, Margaret Description: Bio: Siegfried was born to Sir Frederick Schtauffen, a brave knight who was considered a champion among the oppressed peasants of his German home, and a woman named Margaret who met Frederick while he was on campaign, during the late sixteenth century. He was given the name 'Siegfried' after the famous hero, and was taught swordsmanship by his father. Frederick embarked on a foreign crusade and, due to lack of guidance in life, Siegfried unintentionally murdered his returning father while rampaging as the leader of a teenage band of thieves calling themselves "Schwarzwind". Siegfried grew in despair and eventually convinced himself that anyone but he was to blame for his father's death. Siegfried had heard rumours of the invincible Soul Edge, and came to believe his father's killer could only be killed with that weapon. After taking the life of a noble he worked for during a siege on his castle in Ostrheinsburg (he did so in an effort to claim - what he thought was - Soul Edge), he finally managed to come across the legendary weapon Soul Edge, lying beside the corpse of the defeated Cervantes de Leon which transformed into Inferno. Siegfried defeated Inferno, earning the right to wield Soul Edge himself. However, Soul Edge telepathically spoke to Siegfried, arranging a deal between the two; Siegfried would help the blade to restore itself gathering souls, and Soul Edge would resurrect his father Frederick. But Siegfried finally succumbed to the sword's power - transforming into the Azure Knight, Nightmare. He claimed refuge in Ostrheinsburg Castle. During the following three years, he gathered together a group of followers: the golem Astaroth, Lizardman, and Ivy. Each of them aided him in Soul Edge's quest to devour souls for a rejuvenation ceremony to be performed in his chosen stronghold, Ostrheinsburg Castle. But as the ceremony was about to take place, the clan was quickly laid to waste. Both Lizardman and Astaroth were defeated; and Ivy left the clan after learning the shocking truth of her past from the Fu-Ma ninja, Taki. Two young warriors confronted Nightmare: Kilik, owner of both the sacred staff Kali-Yuga and sacred mirror Dvapara-Yuga; and Xianghua, owner of Krita-Yuga, which revealed itself as Soul Calibur. Nightmare and Soul Edge were defeated, initiating a new resolve in the now-conscious Siegfried, albeit temporary - shards of the weakened Soul Edge were still present within his body. He eventually assumed the azure armor for a second time, becoming Nightmare all over again, desperately pursuing fragments of the Soul Edge so that he might fully restore it. Raphael Sorel appeared in search of Soul Edge and Nightmare stood victorious after a fierce battle. As he stepped forward to finish Raphael, he muttered something incoherently. Following this, an internal struggle began between Siegfried and Inferno (spirit of the evil sword) vying for control over their physical body. With this show of "hesitation", Raphael unleashed a desperate final blow upon his enemy, piercing the center of Soul Edge. Nightmare let out an inhuman cry, and Siegfried finally regained control of his own body. Siegfried remembered his actions previous, before using the newly-revealed holy sword, Soul Calibur, to drive into the evil eye that was the core of Soul Edge, where the weapon had been trapped - however, this effort to destroy the evil sword would prove insufficient. And so, picking up both swords, he left Ostrheinsburg on a mission to seal away Soul Edge for all eternity, as he swore to atone for his sins, not knowing that Nightmare had gained a separate body of his own. He is an expert in any and all kinds of martial arts, and his mastery of weapons in particular can be compared to heroes of both the east and the west, perhaps even surpassing them all. In those times of war, the people sought a hero, but Olcadan was not interested in the world's affairs, as he only cared for his strength. Even if the people were in awe of him and treated him as an eccentric, Olcadan ignored them and focused on honing his skills. When Olcadan reached manhood, there was no human being on earth who could challenge him. He could boast that, save one single fight which ended in a draw, he was undefeated in his countless bouts. So he set his sights on the gods and, to test how close he was to rivaling them, started hunting down the great owl, said to have been sent by the god of war to observe the world. He challenged a messenger of the gods to a duel and defeated him, and then brought the owl's head as proof of his victory, but the people didn't cherish him, for they were afraid of the wrath of the gods. The gods acted shortly after. Affected by both the sun and moon's light and the position of the stars, Olcadan's head turned from human to owl and back again. The people, trying to seek the gods' forgiveness, sent a group of Sorcerers, known as the "Sages of the Oak," to capture him. At first Olcadan resisted, but the sages took advantage of his vow to become stronger and finally captured him. Chained at the altar on the top of a mountain, the god of wars (in the form of a headless owl) punished Olcadan by sealing him inside an ancient labyrinth ruin deep beneath the earth, where time didn't exist. Olcadan tried to find an exit, but no matter what he did, nothing changed in the labryinth. Time there didn't flow, and he never felt thirst or hunger, or even grew old. Resigned, Olcadan stayed in a lone room and fell into a deep slumber. Suddenly the peace was broken. A deafening roar followed by a wave of energy woke him from his slumber. By the change in the wind's flow, he realized the seal was broken, probably by the same energy wave, which he didn't know was the Evil Seed. As he left the ruins, he wondered how much time passed. The gods who cursed him were long gone, and thus his curse possibly couldn't ever be lifted. Still, he was not troubled by this. He was excited after realizing the power which freed him was possibly the strongest in this new era. Once he started to search for the source of that power, he soon discovered that to do anything he needed something called "money." Even if it were a foreign concept, he accepted it and soon started to get income teaching people the techniques he has mastered, and slowly he learned of this new era. And now, to recover his combat senses dulled over the course of his long sleep, he cut ties with the world and returned to the labryinth. Name: Yoshimitsu Age: Presumed to be in the late 20 to 30's Race: Human Gender: Male Class: Samurai Family: Original clan murdered by Oda Nobunaga, now belongs to a clan of chivalrous thieves called Manjitou Description:  Bio: A lord who sought the power of the Manji clan invited its chief to his castle. Due to his advanced age the clan's chief sent the strongest warrior, Yoshimitsu, of the clan on behalf of him. As expected, the lord requested the allegiance of the Manji clan. But the Manji clan preferred to remain hidden. After a few days' stay at the castle, the fighter politely denied the lord's request and returned to his village. Upon his return, Yoshimitsu found his beloved village in ruins. The lord had prepared an army in anticipation of the clan's refusal to serve him. Yoshimitsu attempted a battle against the lord, but he was no match for the army or the lord and lost his arm, which he replaced with a wooden prosthetic. Yoshimitsu set out across the sea in search of the "Ultimate Weapon", Soul Edge, so that he could take his revenge against Lord Nobunaga. But during his journey, he came across many horrible scenes left behind by the azure knight, Nightmare. In his meditation, he concluded that if he were to give in to his hatred, he would be no better than either Oda Nobunaga or Nightmare. But even with that realization in his mind, he continued to pursue the Soul Edge nevertheless. When Yoshimitsu finally reached Ostrheinsburg Castle, it was devoid of any signs of life. After leaving the castle Yoshimitsu hears rumors that Soul Edge had been sealed with Soul Calibur. He also learned that The Azure Knight had been revived. Upon leaving the castle, he sensed that the evil energy of the castle had somehow transferred a similar energy into his katana. So he left on a journey to rid his blade of that corrupted energy. Unfortunately, he became careless one day and passed out, worn from trying to quell the corruption; and during his sleep, the katana had been stolen by a thief--Voldo, who had mistaken it for the Soul Edge. Yoshimitsu did not want the evil energy to fall into the wrong hands, so he set out to retrieve it. Yoshimitsu infiltrated the legendary Money Pit of "the Merchant of Death", Vercci and, completely by chance, found his katana alongside a fragment of the Soul Edge, both emanating similar evil energies. Yoshimitsu decided that if there was another object in the world with the same evil as his katana, which he had now named "Yoshimitsu", it mustn't be allowed to exist. And so he set off on yet another journey, without a doubt in his mind about destroying the cursed Soul Edge. Yoshimitsu eventually discovered that the fragments were spread on the earth, and he alone could never destroy them all and that he would never have time to help those who needed it. So he returned to Japan and recruited ruffians from around the land, soon forming a band of chivalrous thieves, known as the Manjitou. Thanks to his skill and ability, Yoshimitsu soon became head of the clan. One day, Yoshimitsu devised a plan for a grand robbery: the entire group would infiltrate a wealthy usurer's mansion during the annual festival and take everything he owned, which included a fragment of the Soul Edge. Unfortunately, the plan failed and a vanguard force was wiped out in front of the treasure room. The remaining clan members eventually freed their captured comrades, but they gave a strange report to Yoshimitsu: the fragment of Soul Edge in the mansion's treasure room was gone, which was puzzling, considering that the vanguard force that Yoshimitsu sent supposedly never made it inside. Also, the body of the leader of the vanguard force had never been found. Some members of the clan thought that betrayal was the only explanation, but Yoshimitsu wouldn't believe that. The man, his second-in-command, was good on both his combat skill and humanity and he had great expectations of him. Also, the wounds on his men were not dealt with a normal blade. He spoke to his men and instructed them to find the fragment, stating that they would also find the man. He would accompany them in the hunt in order to find the truth. After a long journey he found the man who told them Tira, a servant of Souledge, had ambushed them and taken the fragment of Soul Edge. She has nothing really to do with her gold, so she just hides it in various locations throughout Europe and Asia. Euphrates travels constantly to lower the risks of getting caught; she is among the most wanted in Eurasia. During her travels, the thief had stayed at the river Euphrates where she stole a pair of duel swords. She picked up her name here. Stories of two magnificent swords - Soul Calibur and Soul Edge - drifted her way, and Euphrates thus began her search for control of both. Description:
Despite being demonic appears well groomed. Wears sage robes into battle and usually brings a book (he studies the forces of natural magic in his spare time). His entire eyes (pupil and all) are a dark shade of violet. He usually fights with a sword and uses a thick book on magic as a shield. This is to his advantage as the book will usually send a small fireball in counterattack to getting hit, but regardless, it is not the best shield. He has some nearsightedness so he usually wears a small pair of glasses to help him read... even whilst on the battlefield.
Bio:
Rodir is a man who sold his soul to become a demon. He did not do this to get any demonic powers or on accident either. He simply knew that his mortal existence would most likely end before he could finish his studies; since he also enjoyed fighting that was a risk too. To keep his life going on he became a demon.
As a child Rodir was a big scholar. He was usually ahead of all other students his age and was already smarter than the average sage at age 11. This is the age where he started learning about natural magic and some swordplay from his father.
At the age of 13 he eventually got to a point in his swordplay where he was a little too good. He accidentally killed his father with a wooden practice sword and has never forgiven himself. Some say he might have become a demon to eventually bring his father back to life when he believed the time was right.
While he is a demon he appears (and acts) as a regular human being. He even lives in society like a normal human. When he isn't battling he is studying the battle techniques of his foes or studying how to use natural magic. Being a demon he already knows how to use low-skilled dark magic spells, but he refuses to use them as a side effect is usually insanity.
He knows at least 8 different languages that he can use fluently and there are at least 10 more that he knows a little bit of. His incredible amount of languages are often used to help him decipher the text in the ancient scrolls and books he reads on magic. He is usually secretive and very few know what he is ever really up to (including his wife).
He is known for having deciphered 12 different natural magic books in his lifetime and as such is somewhat of a mage more than a scholar. He can cast magic using elements of nature in battle and (if necessary) can cast a few forms of the dark magics.
His studies and travels eventually told tales of a dark sword known as the Soul Edge. His intents and purposes for wanting it are unknown, but a fragment of the blade was discovered by him in an ancient book on dark magic he found in a temple.

Her once owner was Ramiera, who was only about 13. Ramiera and Myeikura were very close, but when one of Myeikura's kind attacked one of Ramiera's people Myeikura's kind was banished from Ramiera's people's village. It saddened Myeikura very much to be parted from her life long friend, but they had to be serparated for Myeikura's safety. Myeikura then lived in a village where it was just her people and they had found their own way of living and surviving by themselves. She along with the other demon girls in her village danced around the fire everynight sending blessings to their old owners and lives. The one who killed the poor person in Ramiera's village was one who was very sick and had gone mad, but of course a death was a death and their was no exceptions. It was either be banished, or everyone be executed. Still Ramiera and Myeikura broke the rules and they visited each other every chance they got. Unfortunately, one night Ramiera never showed up on their night to meet. Thinking that maybe she had simply fallen ill and would come next time Myeikuru let it past. Week after week Ramiera didn't show up and finally Myeikuru bouded off to the village where her people had been banished from to see if Ramiera were even among the living. Unfortunately she wasn't, and neither was the rest of Ramiera's village. As Myeikuru walked through the village she smelled the strong scent of dried blood everywhere, but in one particular place the blood smelled very fresh. Going towards the fresh smell of blood Myeikura was faced with a man, or maybe it was a beast who had blood all over him and a sword that was purely evil. She looked at his victim and it out of all people it was Ramiera, now dead. Knowing she was no match for this...thing she ran, never looking back. When she reached her village she was in such a daze she went out for a month. When she woke up again she found out that the persons he had come into contact with was a person or being known as Nightmare or The Azure Knight was going around killing people. Then she heard of the history known about Soul Edge and Soul Calibar...what history her people found out which really wasn't much, but it was enough to make Myeikura to decide that whenever The Azure Night returned again she'd help destroy him, for taking the life of her owner and dear friend. For years no one else heard of these swords and soon her people thought it to be just a rumor or possibly even some stupid legend. Though Myeikura always knew even if the name was wrong something about the history they knew was right. She'd find out what was right or wrong one day. The time finally came and the battles and man slaughters that were going on across Europe came to Myeikura's people. By this time Myeikura has become much older, wiser, and stronger. Once she heard about it she decided to leave her people and go see what help she could do where ever help is needed. She does go back home whenever she finds it a conveince, but she wants to be of some help, she wants to avenge Ramiera's people and Ramiera's deaths one way or another. So far she hasn't found a way to be of much help and so she has for the most part been a traveler around the lands listening in on stories of battles and tales of the swords and going to the palces she hears of. To make money for food she dances and sometimes she gets in fights, but many people say that in her fights she is so skilled that is seems like she is dancing while she fights. Since most of the time she fights in her human form and she has a red silk like thing attached to a ring on her finger and it goes around to an identical ring on her other finger when she dances or even fights the silk looks like it turns to fire.
