Plot Summary

Everything they've told you about the Earth's layers is a lie. The truth is that in the Center of the Earth, there is a whole other realm where a different race lives: the Imariquan.
A long time ago, the humans on the Crust tried to create a passage through the Earth from one end to another, not knowing about the Imariquan. They were able to make it through the Crust, but once they reached the Middle of the Earth, they unleashed the demons that dwell there. With the demons' help, the humans were able to reach the Center of the Earth, where they imposed war on the Imariquan. The war raged on for a year or so, but eventually the Imariquan won.
Although they forgot one major detail-- the passage from the Crust to the Center was never completely sealed off...

Entire Plot

Everything you know as of now about the world is a lie. You have learned that there is boiling hot magma that lies in the earth's "core." They only tell you that because they don't want you to find out the truth. What is the truth you ask? Ok, but just remember, you asked for it.

Over 2000 years ago, humankind, motivated by money and fame as always, tried to create a path from one end of the Earth to the other. Some old wives tales refer to it as "digging a hole to China." As comical as that sounded, it was ly to the human race. they had no idea that there were other races in the world.
They managed to break through the earth's Crust, but without knowing what lied in the Mantle. The moment their shovels and hands and slaves touched the surface of the Mantle, demons were unleashed into the peaceful world of the Crust. Yes, the Crust was once peaceful. But back to the quest:
With the help of the deceptive demons, the humans on the expedition made it through the Mantle-- and to the Center of the Earth.

The Center of the Earth was never what they expected-- there was a whole other race of people that dwell in the Center of the Earth. The humans were scared out of their minds by these fair people that could use the ancient magic arts that had been long lost in the Crust. The leaders of the humans, out of fear, decided to declare war on these unfamiliar beings. And who are these beings you ask? Why, they are the Imariquan. The humans attacked, and so it started. The women and children of the Imariquan were forced to evacuate to the Crust. The Imariquan men and human men fought and fought and fought.
Who won? Well, that's easy-- The Imariquan won. The humans were all in the Center of the Earth and the Imariquan could live happily ever after right? Wrong. They made one mistake that day that they claimed victory-- they forgot to completely seal off the opening to the Center of the Earth. Which didn't phase them-- for a while.

Now, the Imariquan have naturalized to the Crust and remain a secret. But the opening, the Passage, is not safe from discovery. Indeed, you guessed it, after 2000 years, the Passage has been opened again and the Center of the Earth is no longer separated from the Crust. Humans could easily take a wrong turn.

Ever since the demons of the world were unleashed from the Mantle of the Earth, the world as we know it has never been the same. Demons, all sorts, invaded the Crust and caused all kinds of trouble that we know today. The demons are very different and project themselves as different things. Some are more powerful than others, and some more evil. For example, a weak demon might implant an evil though into your head, like . Whereas a stronger demon might go on a real spree. the "Seven ly Sins" were in fact demons that make their way into humans' minds implanting evil thoughts. Some demons are material, you can see them and touch them. But some are invisible-- detectable only by that wave of hatred that swept over you or that voice in your head that tells you: Kill, kill... And another example of these kinds of demons are Secrets. The ly kept truths that humans always want to hide.
Yes, those are the demons that were unleashed when man tried to make a passage from one end of the earth to another. But the world is not lost-- there is hope!
Along with the demons, something good was unleashed that day too-- perhaps the most important thing in the world-- The Blue Flame.
The Blue Flame is not something you can see, it's a kind of spirit. It resides within you, protecting you from all the demons of the world-- but yes, as always, there is a catch. There is a Law of the Flame that people with the Blur Flame must follow in order to be granted protection from the demons. They, first, must believe in the Spirit of the Blue Flame and accept it into their life, trusting it and relying on it. The Blue Flame is not a trait, nor is it for one race or another. It is something you can learn. If you follow the Law of the Flame, you will be granted its protection and guidance. It's just that the Blue Flame is dying, there are less and less people with it these days...
Why don't people everywhere just live by the Blue Flame? I don't really get it myself, but it has a lot to do with accepting the Blue Flame and believing in its powers. Some people just don't believe until they see. The people who have the Blue Flame are desperately trying to get other humans to learn the ways of the Blue Flame so they can, one day, all be protected from demons. Who will choose to Believe?

Character Types

Human- These are ordinary humans. They can possess the Blue Flame, but cannot use magic. Please don't hesitate to make as many human characters as you want.

Imariquan- These are the beings from the Center of the Earth. They can use magic and possess the Blue Flame. If you are going to make an Imariquan, keep in mind that they are peaceful and intelligent. But we can't have 30 Imariquan wandering around and 2 humans.

Human Plus- These are humans that have gained demonic powers. You could call them possessed. These characters cannot have the Blue Flame. They can use magic, but it's evil magic, used to harm others. If you're going to make a human Plus, they cannot be too powerful and the same goes for Imariquan.

Demons- These are the creatures that cause disaster in the Crust of the Earth. They are all different. Some look like humans, but some look like monsters. Some have horns, some don't. Some you can see, some you can't, you get the idea. If you're gonna make a demon, they can't be too powerful. If you're gonna make a spirit demon that you can't see, then please make another character in addition to this because those demons just pop up here and there and influence people's thoughts.

Personality- She may seen slightly arrogant at first, but she's pretty fun once you get to know her. She knows what and what not to do, and who not to mess with. She expects other Imariquan to treat her with respect, so she often is thought of as selfish. She likes adventure and new things, most of the time. She can be a loner, but sometimes she likes hanging around with other people. She's more of the kind of person that has a few good friends instead of a lot of general friends.
Appearance- About average build, slightly skinny. She has silver hair, often perceived as blue, that is straight and about waist length. She usually wears blue elegant clothes including flowing dresses and silk gloves.
History- When she was a child, she grew up in the Center of the Earth. She lived with her parents up until she was 10 as a noble family in the Center. When she was 10 years old, her parents were killed, for what she saw as no apparent reason. Later, she found out that they were runaway criminals that forced the Center to give them a nobility title and killed several Imariquan and countless humans. There have only been a few cases like this in the Center of the Earth, where Imariquan turn evil. Upon hearing of her parents' past, Alayah was appalled to find out that they had kept so much from her all of her life. They did a very good job at it too, taking the secret to their graves. From then on, Alayah has htaed secrets and people that keep them. Fearing that she might be shunned as the daughter of kllers, and an orphan nonetheless, she fled from the Center and moved to the Crust. Although she found a much more cruel world, she was afraid to go back to the Center in fear of what might happen. When she first arrived at the Crust, after a few days, she made herself a small cottage (using magic) in the wilderness where no humans often came. She has lived on her own until she heard that there were other Imariquan living on the Crust too. She began to come into the city more, and socialize with people. She lives by herself, but goes into the city very often, about once a day, sometimes more. She doesn't have a job because she never went to school. since she was able to use magic, there was (and still is) no need for a job.

Weapon- Uses mostly Defense Magic and owns a small knife. About six inches in length made of a Blue tinted silvery metal, very thin. The Hilt has copper wire wound around it and pressed into the silver metal.
Blue Flame- Does not possess the Blue Flame.
Personality- Raiden smiles easily, and tries not to talk to much, trying to stay passive. He can be a little blunt, but tries to keep people happy and smiling, to keep any friction from arising. He's normally rather depressed, and attempts to hide it around people.
Appearance- Angular face, a medium-skinny build and of normal height. Lightly layered, feathery brown hair that comes just below his jaw, and soft blue-green eyes that never smile. Normally clad in human designed clothes, long sleeved shirts and jeans.
History- His mother was slaughtered by a demon in a small skirmish with the Demons, soon after his father took him and his brother, two years younger, to the surface to flee a misunderstanding about said skirmish.

Eventually the Demons found his family, at about the same time the Imariquan did. Another skirmish broke out between the two forces around their house, their father was killed by a backfired spell. After both groups retreated, Raiden explained what he knew of the first skirmish to the Imariquan, and they expressed their apologies to the mistake. Giving him a small apartment in apology, he lived with his brother for a while.

Until one day when Sadoka's, his brother's, friend found out he was an Imariquan, his friend explained to Sadoka that he was a Demon. And killed him. Enraged, Raiden hunted down the friend when he found out, even though the younger kid asked for Mercy, saying: "My parents made me do it." Blinded by anger he slaughtered him. When he came too, after making his way back home. He was over come with grief, and lost his way to the Blue Flame.

Seeing so much death because of fighting, caused him to become passive.
Likes- Smiling and laughter, cheery people who he doesn't need him to get them happy, when aggressive people become placid, and cherries.
Dislikes- 'Emo' people, people bringing up his past, frowns and sad sighs, fighting and too sweet or too sour of foods.
Side- Neutral, leaning towards good. Doesn't want to fight.

History- School was never a big thing for him, he was smart enough as it was. Soon he got a feel for fighting and soon took some classes on magic. He now mostly hangs around town, getting in a fight here and there. He carries a poetry book of quotes, sayings, and poems he often reads.

Personality- Sick and twisted, she is your typical demon. She loves tricking people and deceit. She can be very childish at times, and extremely hyper. She can be cute, in a kind of demonic way. She can easily make a grim situation fun by adding some suffering here and there. Loves torture and cruel and unusual punishment. Often, she laughs an extremely creepy and high pitched laugh that can be heard from a distance.
History- She was born from two demon lords who were very respected for their cruel ways. When she was 50 (about 3 in human years), her parents were killed by Imariquan. At first she was mad, but not for long. She quickly took amusement to the fact that they were dead. Not long after, she sawed off their limbs and fed them to the birds. the death of her parents only made her more of a sicko. Since then, she has served under countless demon lords. She loves carrying out their twisted wishes and the action of battle.

History~ He grew up in a small town. When he was about 7 he moved to the city. His parents would always go out every night and he would worry about them. One night they didn't come back, that's why he is a recluse and is now recovering. He moved in with his aunt who was a germaphobic ember demon. That's how he developed his cleaning skills and sense cynicism.

History~He doesn't really know where his parents are, or even if their alive. Before he started to speak, he had no life, at least nothing that anyone knows of. He was found at an orphanage with a note tide with a ribbon around his neck that read

His eyes where red for weeks, and he didn't talk. During his first year, his eyes started to slowly tint blue. As the months went by, his eyes became bluer and bluer. During his first year, he didn't speak. He only mumbled things as he slept, things that no one could understand. When his eyes were finally the bluest they could be, he spoke. "Hi, I'm Emimana, I'm four, is there anything I could do to help you?"he said with a smile. Even thought hes past the age to still be at the orphanage, they still love to keep him.

Weapon: He carries a gun that he conceals in his jacket, and a pocket knife.
Brief description: He's a pretty easy going kind of person, but also one that is apathetic. He doesn't really care about much, and he likes to take the easy way out. He enjoys surfing the internet and watching TV, along with being stupid with his friends. He doesn't go to school, but he's somewhat intelligent when it comes to logic and problem solving. Her prefers not to show this side though, because it takes too much effort.

Weapon:She likes to use a scythe imbued with magic. It was a gift to her family by an elderly Imariquan.
Personality:Happy at most times. When she is faced with a situation, she can be pretty tough. You can call this a "survival mode." She will ignore pain as much she can until the situation is over.
History:She grew up with a strong family. She recieved training from the elite to defend herself. Her family was always targeted by demons because their blood had a tempting smell. One day, five years ago her parents were attacked by a demon. Her parents managed to injure the demon, only enraging it further. It broke into Ceren's house, and possessed her father. Her mother sacrificed herself by using the Blue Flame above her limit. She managed to kill the demon who possessed her husband. After that, she gave Ceren the bracelet and took her last breath.

Alayah walked calmly out of her small house in the woods. It was morning and the air was cool and fresh. Breathing in a deep breath of nature and serenity, she continued to walk. For some reason, she had an urge to do something. I guess I'll go into the town, she thought. There was a town about half a mile from her cottage. It wasn't a large town, but it wasn't particularly small either. There were a few restaurants, a school, apartments, houses, office buildings, and all along the streets there were sidewalks. Alayah walked calmly out of the forest to a sidewalk bordering the street.

Cassius stood in front of the infamous door once again, But he wasn't afraid anymore since he has been starting to get out more.
He was still low on money so he decided to rent out the other bedroom of his apartment.
He was going out to put up fliers about the room and to buy some groceries with the little money he had.
Cassius grabbed his umbrella, slid on his sunglasses and fled down the stoop.
The sun was warm on his face although paleness still lingered.
He stuck the closed umbrella under his arm in which he held a stack of handmade fliers.
He strode down the sidewalk almost leisurely as he tapped an unfamiliar beat on his thigh.
As he walked along he saw a girl,
Wow, she's hot.
She had silver locks and was wearing flowing white silks, although Cassius could only perceive her as a yellow figure.
She's stunning, not "hot".
Cassius could feel sweat droplets appear on his face.
As he was closing in on the girl pain shot through his head and was pounding into his brain like a chisel.
"Wha--..."
Cassius let the papers scatter onto the ground along with the black umbrella.
Pain shot through his head with every step the girl took.
He clutched his head as he kneeled on the sidewalk.
What the hell is that girl?

Alayah walked into the town and onto the familiar asphalt sidewalk. Her slip on shoes didn't make and particular noise that wasn't drowned out by the birds chiming in with the sounds of the city. Grey clouds were looming overhead that stretched across as far as the eye could see.
Then she noticed a teenage looking boy who was walking down the sidewalk. She raised an eyebrow and stopped walking as he appeared to be in great pain.
"Are you alright?" she asked. She bent down to pick up some papers that he had dropped. Glancing at them, she saw that they were fliers for renting a room out in his house. She extended her arm to give the fliers back to him.
Something was not quite right. He seemed , yet, she detected the presence of a demon somewhere within. He wasn't a cold hearted slaughterer like all of the other demons she had encountered. Something about him sparked her curiosity.
As he cringed in pain, Alayah decided to help him out. She held out her hand, and from under it, a comforting teal light glowed. It was a healing charm. He would no longer feel the current pain he was suffering from.
"Here, that should help," she said in a cooling voice.

But she had no idea that in casting this, she was relieving him of the effects of her own Blue Flame.

Cassius clenched his teeth as he watched a sweat drop fall from the tip of his nose.
His glasses fell off as well.
His head still throbbing the girl picked up fliers and bent down to his level.
He felt crazed but at the same time he felt like he was being comforted by the mysterious woman.
Her hand started glowing as she hovered it over his body.
Cassius's eyes fluttered shut... Then a split second later his eyes were open purple and full of rage.
He quickly got up and pushed the girl aside.
"I HAVEN'T FELT THIS ALIVE IN YEARS! HAHAHA!!"
What seemed to be Cassius glanced down at the girl.
She's Imariquan? I MUST KILL HER.
It pulled out he dagger and thrust it towards the girl's throat but suddenly he stopped.
Its eyes flickered from black to purple and to black again as a tear dropped from his face.
He put his opposite hand on his arm and tried to lower it.
"S-stop...Please..."
Cassius lowered down to his knees and just sat there looking down, trying not to cry.

Alayah's first instinct was to attack this demon that had thrust a dagger to her throat. But there was something keeping her from doing it. She didn't know what, but something deep within her subconscious was telling her not to do it. Probably the same thing that told her to help him. The tips of her eyebrows raised in confusion as she looked worriedly at the boy. His eyes were flickering between two colors.
A raindrop suddenly fell from the dark sky, landing on her cheek. Then the sound of many more could be heard. The cool, wet sensation dripping down her cheek was a compliment to the humid day.
One landed on the cheek of the boy, but farther up, so it dripped from the tip of his eye. It ran down his cheek until it dripped from his chin, and Alayah felt pity on him.
She had never seen anything like it before. He was indeed a demon, but like no other demon she had ever encountered. She gave him a look that a mother might give to a sick child. He just looked so , on his knees with the rain dripping from his hair and that horrified look on his face. Purely the opposite of the demon holding a dagger to her throat a minute ago.
She looked down at him and held out her hand to help him up. Her eyes seemed to give a small smile.
"It's ok. I've learned to forgive. Besides, I can tell that wasn't you a moment ago. It doesn't take a genius..."
She was still on her guard, in case his 'inner demon' surfaced.

Cassius felt like he malfunctioned inside his wires went out-of-whack and caused chaos.
He knew the girl was the source of it, she agitated his demon, and it retaliated.
He knew the right thing to do was to not see her again, but her presence was calming, like a mother's bosom and her steady heartbeat.
He felt a drop of cold on his flesh, he looked up at the rain and the girl who had gotten up and was holding out a helping hand.
"It's okay. I've learned to forgive. Besides, I can tell that wasn't you a moment ago... It doesn't take a genius."
Water started to pour down harder when he went to reach for her hand.
He was significantly taller than the girl, even though they looked about the same age.
He scooped up his umbrella, This seems like the proper time to use it...
He grabbed at his glasses that were still on the ground, and he picked up the remaining fliers that still stuck, soaked on the pavement.
Cassius was still looking down as he fiddled with his pair of glasses
"So.. You forgive me?"

She gave a half teasing smile, "Yes... I'll just be on guard if that other personality emerges. I may have to do something..." It occurred to her that he may be stronger than she was, and her certainly was taller. She was looking up at him. They seemed to be the same age, but he looked older, yet acted slightly younger than her. "I'm Alayah by the way..."

Cassius loved how she was smiling instead of being horrified.
Most of the people Cassius saw looked at him sideways or gave him dirty looks.
But this girl was strong, and she could probably protect herself from demons.
His demon was being silent... Maybe he will for good, if it will stop provoking Cassius.
"I'm Alayah by the way..."
"Beautiful name, My name is Cassius..."
He looked down at Alayah and she was drenched.
"Oh dear... You're drenched! You'll catch a cold if you don't get out of this rain..."
He opened up his umbrella and sheltered Alayah from the rain.
"Would you like to come to my house to dry off? I promise... I won't hurt you."
