The sun had just set. The sky was streaked with faint traces of lavender that were quickly being devoured by darker shades of blue and then black. Night was coming quickly and it was finally time to come out and play. A streak of darkness bolted through the forest. It was the color of ebony and blended in with the setting shadows with ease. Its footsteps were but a whisper on the cool spring breeze that carressed the land. The petrified squeeks of a squirrel burst through all that as it bounded forewards, away from the coming shadow beast. But the creature was much swifter then the squirrel and before it could dash away into the nearest tree it found itself face down under the sharp claws of the monster. White fangs gleamed out from its black face and its emerald-colored eyes shown like two gems. It let out a horrible snarl and felt the squirrel struggling desperately to get away.

He pressed his paw down harder, almost smothering the creature so it couldn't breeze. He felt it grow still until he could only feel it struggling for breath. Had it surrendered to death? The large cat beast dug its claws into the earth around the furry creature's head. Death waited in the wings and yet it still remained so still. He would never succumb to such a fate without fighting. All at once he lift his paw. The squirrel, stunned at first, didn't hesitate to dash off into the nearest tree and then leap to the ones surrounding it. Kage snorted, listening to the rustling branches of the trees above him. Killing the creature would've been pointless. He did not enjoy the taste of blood like the rest of his kind. But the thrill of the chase was always worth it. The squirrel had hopefully learned to be more careful. He turned his eyes towards the sky. Another beautiful night.

So this was the mighty forest at night. Sorano made her way along the ground weaving in and out of the various trees that marked not only her way but the passage of time throughout the forest as well. Inhaling sharply achieved a simple burst of sneezes and not the desired effect of scenting ahead for any danger. Sure it might have been easier to fly from tree branch to tree branch but Sorano wasn't as confident in her flying ability yet.

A noise of rustling leaves ahead caught the young Sutenjiku's attention and she peered upwards in time to watch a squirrel make a hasty exit from a blob of blackness.

Now she was seeing things ... great. Seating herself at the base of the tree her gaze flew skywards ... was she seeing things or was that really something up there in the tree?

Takako had lifted himself from where his shrine was. His wings taking flight and the light breeze hoisting him up..
The feel of the air between his feathers felt so natural, and the dark side of the morning came along in a rush.. Sadly now that he was an adult is when he went out the most. Rather than being pampered at his home..

The royal red Sutenjiku let himself breeze through the trees of the forest area. Cool.. and quiet.. until. A scream of an animal caught his ear's attention. Twitching just as well as a spazzy of his kind. He looked down under him, the forest floor seemed to take on the colors of purple and dark green.. He didn't care about anything except royalty of red and purples and commoners SHOULD suffer the consequences of being. THE LOWER. Class. He sighed and he same into a landing where it seemed brighter purple.

His paws found their way on the odd shaped rock. His feathers flashing in the air as he retorted them behind him. His emerald eyes scouted around.. The moon shine flaunted his back for him as he jumped down to the ground.. and made his way to find 'a soothing night walk' ... then he saw something. Green. A bright green.. Then it disappeared. What was it? He thought to himself.. and oddly his curiosity made him go about to find what this green was..

Not even having an idea that he wasnt the only of his species that seemed to find their way to teh same place.

The male let a sigh pass through his blackened lips, bringing his gaze back down to earth. He was bored. He rose to his feet, once again claiming his proud stance. You could tell this was a noble beast who wouldn't allow himself to slouch. He carried himself with an air of importance but not to the point of sheer arrogance. Suddenly he lashed out at the thin tree that had been passing him to his right. All of the claws on his front paws ripped into the bark with horrible snaps as he dragged them down the treee trunk. When his feet were firmly on the ground agains he admired his work: numerous long gashes along the bark of the poor tree. Someone would know he'd been there and that it was his land [ or so he thought it was ]. His tail flicked behind him vigrously as he continued his slow pace. Someday he'd go beyond the trees and explore the other parts of the island. But not now.

He stopped in his tracks and raised his keen nose to the wind. It told him of two strangers who were prowling about his territory. That just wouldn't do. A snarl crossed his face as he whipped around to face the direction of where he smelled the closest stranger to be. In an instant he was dashing towards it. He leapt and cleared a line of scrub that had been obsucring his vision. It was then did he see the small Sutenjiku at the base of the tree. His face and stance lost none of its viciousness as he slowly approached her. His eyes were glittering maliciously and he spread his bat-like wings out in an attempt to make himself look more menacing. "Get off of these lands," He bellowed in a voice so ferocious that the chatter of the nightbugs ceased for a moment. He swished his head from side to side like some sort of enraged bull, showing off the horns atop his head. Not only did he hate strangers near his home but especially ones who were not of his kind.

He considered those without demonic wings, tails, and horns atop their head inferior and thus loathed them. He didn't care that he was dealing with a mere child.

Sorano had been caught unaware. Her own squeak of surprise echoed into the night as she stared at the large black shape looming over her. Courage it seemed was not in her top list of attributes. Rising to all four feet she heard the warning issued and moved to follow the instruction before she paused. The forest was open to all who presided here ... wasn't it?

Digging her paws into the soil beneath her Sorano gazed defiantly at the commanding presence before her with a slight tremble to indicate that she wasn't unaffected as she wished to appear.

"I need to do no such thing. Why should I do what you say? This place is free for all creatures."

Sorano Tenshi's green eyes bored into the larger ones staring down at her.

Takako looked around. The squeel... then it subsided.. He thought a moment... "Hmm." He grumbled and tossed his head to the other side.. Going in the direction of what he had heard only seconds ago. The night's stars settled now.. and he missed seeing them form. He grumbled.. no one saw him doing a nice thing..and even going over there he considered nice.

His paws found their way over a large rock. Looking over some of the setting of bushes and trees.. Then he spotted.. something light. Then he heard the words slipping through each of his ears like music. But it wasn't pleasant. He jumped down, and let his wings glide him down to the forest floor. "Hello?" She said softly.. almost evenly mysteriously. His paws found old brown leafs.. until he saw two pairs of emerald eyes in front of him. "Hmm?" He stood tall and strong.. Watching as a what he saw to be a female. Then a male. He supposed.. His tail whipped up and the blurr made it look like blood of how fast they went up and down. His ears pulled forward.. Ready to help if needed.
