Dust

What is dust? Why does it flow? Or does it flow?
And why do we speak of it? Why does it exist? Why is it known? How was it found?
No one knows who found it. No one knows why they found it. Or where it came from, not specifically anyway.
So how do we know it exists?

Dust is not so commonly known as the 'Blood of life'. That is the correct term in any case. We call it 'dust' because it looks just like that, at least when it is visible in it's smallest visible particles.
In more concentrated forms it comes in liquid form. In it's most precious and oldest form it comes in more solid form, such as a gem or large chunks of differently colored rocks, more commonly known as element tablets.
In our world there are also what we call elemental storms, commonly known as 'Dust Storms'. They roam the land bringing advantages or disadvantages, depending on the type of storms.
Every living creature has certain amounts of dust in the blood flow. Normally that is not enough to cause any kind of problem or advantage to the person or animal or plant.
But some, have larger amounts of dust, about ten percent of the population have three times the normal amount of dust in the bloodstream. Those are either branded as 'Witches', 'Wizards' or 'Magicians' or 'Demons' and many of the other names one might put on these persons if no understanding was given about dust.
Dust was first discovered by what we might have called a long time ago, 'Alchemists' and 'Magicians' who tried to turn coal into gold, or iron into silver. They did not know it then, but they had their first closest interaction with the blood of all existence.
This of course resulted in the discoveries of matter and such other things which govern our world by rules.
But what of those things that break those rules? What of the things and wonders which break the rules of gravity, or the rules of 'an equal and opposite reaction will happen to an action' that are sometimes broken by certain people or creatures?
