Log One- Pnemonia from a Dragon and Gardens of CitrusEm says: Heketoro sneezed violently as he walked slowly through the forest. Oh he felt terrible. But it was his duty. He decided to lay down under a sweet smelling tree to rest.
Brili says: Famine, who had randomly been wandering around, looking for something to do, heard a noise. Lifting her head, she followed where the noise came from. Probably some fool visiting from the other valley if they disturb the quietness she thought with a roll of her eyes as she continued to walk. "Hello?" she called out, looking around. Em says: Heketoro stood up as the lady walked up to him. "Hello," he said. "I hope I'm not intru--achoo! Excuse me!" he said, rubbing his nose gingerly.
Brili says: Famine watched the guy, amused by his actions. She had to admit, the look on his face was funny, but she held back a laugh. "Hello," she responded, smiling at him. "You're not intruding, but you are a bit loud. Is there anything I can do to help?" Em says: Heketoro blinked. The filly looked positively terrible- skinny with colourless eyes- and she wanted to help him? That was so kind. "Oh I'm afraid not- see this isn't really my illness- I'm borrowing it of that little Devil Jin Kyoshi. But it was lovely of you to offer," he said as a perfect gentleman with a runny nose. "I'm called Tory."
Brili says: Famine blinked. "Borrowing an illness?" she asked, her dark eyes watching him in confusion. "How is that possible? Oh, Hi Tory, I'm.." she trailed off. Famine didn't like her name--one single bit--or what she was even best at. She hated herself, especially when she introduced herself to other ponies. "F-Famine," she finally stuttered, looking down at the ground. "N-Nice to meet you..." Em says: "Famine?" asked Heketoro hesitantly. "That is a... well to be precise it actually sounds pretty dreadful. Would you mind if I called you Mina instead? From the end of your name?" He thought she looked a littel sad. "Borrowing an illness... well it's my talent. See Jin Kyoshi was out in the elements and, being a foal, got sick. So I borrowed his illness so he didn't die of it, but now I'm sick. I can take most pains and ailments... except pregnancy and pms cramps and illness to do with parts of teh body I don't have... like wings," he said gently with a bit of longing.
Brili says: Famine looked up, "I know it sounds dreadful," she sighed, but smiled up at Tory, trying to hide her emotions. "Call me whatever you like...Borrowing illnesses, hm? A lot better than my talent...But very helpful. You must put up with a lot...I could find some fruit or something, if that would help any," she offered. She thought whoever she found would be some stupid idiot..But instead she found a nice pony. "Oh, and if I seem rude or mean, I apologize..I'm used to being alone..and feared.." she trailed off, looking away again. Em says: Heketoro cocked his head. "Oh? Feared? That's not very nice. What's your talent then?" He sat down again and rested his head against the tree. "Thanks for the offer... but I don't think I can taste anything..."
Brili says: "I'll still do it anyway, if it has any chance of helping," Famine responded, watchin the pony, worried. "Oh, my talent?" she added, as if she was just now hearing him. "Uhm...I-I make tunnels and tornadoes...I can use them for loads of things, though...Like.." she tried to name things that her talent would actually be useful for, but she came up short. "...I don't know.." she finished with another sigh, plopping down next to Tory. Em says: Heketoro loked sunnily at the filly. "I don't mean to sound rude... but what I have is catching; if you don't want to catch it, make no qualms about leaving- we can always catch up when somone has a broken leg or something." He is sooooo cute! Maybe the less sparkley ponies get the better personalities?
Brili says: Famine laughed, "Oh please, don't worry about it. If I catch it, it's my own fault--most of the time illnesses are kicked out of my system when I'm caught in a tunnel I create. Sand and wind hurts sometimes," she advised before gently poking Tory with a hoove. "Feel free to give it to me--I don't mind. But are you sure there isnt anything at all I could do?I could get you some food, even if you cant taste it, you still need it..Or water..Or anything." Em says: "That's so very kind of you... but this is the horrible part of an illness where you just need to sit and take it," she sniffed and groaned. His eyes were red rimmed. "I supose the great pity is that they at my herd need me to get better as soon as possible so I han 'heal' somone else..." He sighed. "Well... Nothing to do about it."
Brili says: "But that doesn't mean you can't do anything about it," Famine argued, watching him, still worried. "You at least need to eat--I know how it feels, not wanting to do anything, but food and liquids help. See this?" she motioned down to her ribs and stomach, where one could see the bones. "This came from my previous home, where I ate maybe half an apple every three days. I know what I'm talking about when I say you need to keep healthy..I can find food, or plants to make something for you with..Or a comfortable spot for you to sleep in..Whatever you want, I'll do it," she said, nudging him gently, smiling at him. "Your wish is my command." Em says: That wasn't what I... oh well ^_^ "Well I can see there is no swaying you from your path. If you can find anything- I shall ingest it if you so choose," he smiled and opened his eyes widely as if to clear them.
Brili says: "I'm only trying to help," Famine said quietly, slowly getting up as if not to disturb him. She swiftly trotted away, searching until she found a fruit tree. Mixture of things?Thats not very common..Oh well, she thought, looking. Apples, oranges, and pears, all on one tree. Sweet! Famine made a small tunnel that reached up to the tree, winced as they all landed on her back, and made her way back to Tory. Gently she laid them in front of him, and sat back down next to him. Em says: Heketoro started as she slid in beside him. He'd drifted of to sleep. "Oh I smell... I smell... nothing?" he said, smiling brightly. "Thankyou- you know I couldn't indulge with you sitting there- won't you join me?" His eyes shied to the nearest orange. "Citrus is good for what ails you," he said and he tried to peel it. "Oh..." he said as it smushed. "Oh well!" He sucked the puree out and spat out the seeds. "It must be a new trend!"
Brili says: Famine laughed at Tory, "Please, eat up. I'll go find more for you when you're done," she responded with a smile, happy to see him eating. "Trends are overrated, but you make them look funny and cute. Do you feel any better at all?"
Em says: Heketoro looked at her and opened his mouth to say something and sneezed instead. "...I have no idea how that happened..." There were a few orange seeds in his tissue. He realised he was sitting with a girl and stuffed it behind him. ((Sweatdrop moment!)) "Much. Much better! Sinuses cleared!" By citrus seeds... ><
Brili says: "Really?" Famine asked, her eyes brightening slightly. "Well then, eat the rest so I can go get you more!" she squeaked, pushing the apple and pear toward him. "Eat to your hearts content! If you're feeling better from that, you should feel even better from more food! Then you'll have to go back.." Famine trailed off at that, but perked up again. "But you'll feel better!"
Em says: Heketoror smiled and nodded. I wonder what it's like to feel good all the time... "Okay!" He reached for the pear. "I had no idea there were fruits like this in Nitemare Valley," he said before he took a bite.
Brili says: "There aren't", Famine replied simply, yawning slightly. "I wandered out into whats called 'no mans land' around here, just a tiny spot inbetween the two valleys--we're right by the border. But it was worth it to see you feeling better...Youre the first person that didn't freak out when you saw me," she admitted, blushing lightly, turning part of her face purple. "And I couldnt think of any other way to thank you for it...And food helps you,so..." Em says: "Why would I freak out? I live in nightmare Valley- believe me there are spectres worse than you. You actually reminded me a little of Eris... our new adition. In how you look- she's actually keeping me sick because she tries to infect the little ones..." Heketoror shook his head and ate an apple pensively. "I don't know how you could torment children like that..."
Brili says: "I don't...Or try not to, anyway," Famine said with a sigh, watching Heketoro warily. "Infecting the children, huh? Bet I could get her to stop that...Knock her out of her mind long enough..." She trailed off, then, a moment later, smiled at Tory. "Anything else I can do for you?" Em says: Heketoro shook his head. "Oh dear no, you've done more than enough already," he smiled. "Ugh..." he lay his head back down. "My head huuuurts... damn that stupid child..."
Brili says: “Don't blame the poor child, it's not his fault..I dont think.." Famine said slowly, blinking. "I wasn't there, so I can't really know...And I'm sorry your head hurts.." she added, her worried voice quietening slightly as she bent down and kissed Heketoros forehead. "Would you like me to leave you alone to rest?"
Em says: Heketoro sniffed and looked up. "I don't... know," he said softly. Actually he didn't. No-one really paid him any attention... "I suppose I'm boring you," he said with a smile.
Brili says: “No, usually people run away from me..I'm trying to keep myself on your good side," Famine admitted with an embarrassed smile. "You're actually the most entertaining thing thats happened to me in quite a while--and sitting through many a storm is really quite...fascinating, for lack of a better word. You sound like you're used to being alone most of the time..You don't deserve to be alone," she said, poking him on the nose with her own. "Personally, I'd stay with you until you were well if you would like me too, but its your decision. Am I getting annoying yet?" Em says: "I don't think you want to do that..." said Heketoro as she poked his nose. "You don't know what's up there." He smiled. "I don't think you're annoying. I think you're a little skinny, Mina, but all we have to do is feed you up a little," he cocked his head. And yawned. "Do you know any good stories?" he asked randomly.
Brili says: Famine blushed. "I-I'll try to gain some weight," she stuttered quickly, shocked at his opinion. "Uhm, s-stories?..Besides all the ones the young ones bug their parents for every night? I could make one up..But I'm not very good with words..Would you like me to sing instead?" Em says: "You can sing? I'd love to hear you sing," said Heketoro sleepily. He curled tighter around himself and blearily opened one golden eye.
Brili says: Famine laughed at Heketoro's expression. "You're so silly..but cute at the same time." Famine silently laid down beside him and softly began to sing. "I believe the sun should never set upon an arguement; I believe we place our happiness in other peoples hands. I believe that junk food tastes so good because its bad for you, I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do.." Em says: Heketoro drifted off to sleep but came back at the end of the song. "Eh Wha... oh... that was... lovey... you have a lovely voice. Very pretty..." he said softly, blinking rapidly. "What... was the name of that song?"
Brili says: Famine quietly laughed, "Affirmation. You can go to sleep if you want, Tory," she offered, nuzzling him gently. "I don't mind. I'll go find some food for when you wake back up, if you'd like. You need all the rest you can get--and playing mother is fun sometimes." Em says: Heketoror didn't answer, he was already in a fever-sleep, running away from savage gardens((lol ^_^)). He was fast asleep-
Brili says: Famine smiled at the now sleeping Heketoro. adorable.. she thought before trotting off to find more food for him. Em says: Heketoro's eyes fluttered like moths in his sleep...

Log Two- To Psyche or not to PsycheEm says: Heketoro looked through the forest, combing each tree carefully. He wanted to find Mina again- but he didn't know where she lived. He wouldn't embarrass himself by falling asleep again, oh no. He was better now.
Brili says: Famine was at the back edge of the forest, sitting under a tree, watching the wind blow the leaves. She was debating wether to eat or not, and not was winning. She'd already left food for Heketoro, and she didn't want to disturb him anymore, so she went back home--and hopefully he felt better so he could go home,too...not that she wanted him to, but he probably needed to. Em says: Heketoro sat next to a tree and sighed, his posture was sloppy and would have made anyone who saw him gasp. "What is it with men and never asking for directions? Becase we can get there just as easily by ourselves. Looks like you did a god job of that here. Shut up you. Yeah that's what she- I said shut up!"
Brili says: Famine blinked, hearing something while she was eating. She set the apple down on the ground and stood up, silently trotting around to see who it was. After a few minutes of searching, Famine came upon Heketoro. She hid behind a tree and watched for a moment, before she heard something under her. Looking down, she saw that she had stepped on a pile of leaves. Shoot! Em says: If Famine had looked around the tree, she would have seen nothing because Heketoro was already sneaking up behind her- in a very sneaky way until he slid on *Gasp* some MORE dead leaves and landed on his chest, with all the oranges he had been carrying either under him or dropping on his head one- bounce- by painful -bounce- one-bounce. "Hi Mina," he said slightly dazed. "I have oranges, would you like one?"
Brili says: Famine swirled around and gasped. "Heketoro! Oh dear, are you okay?" she asked, quickly gathering the oranges and putting them in one spot before offering to help him up. "No thanks, dear, I ate yesterday. Take them home to your friends and family. Shouldn't you be headed that way?" she asked worriedly, watching him. She didn't really want him to go, but he had to, so there was no point in arguing..all she could do was try to keep the sadness out of her voice and face. Em says: "My friends and family aren't orangey ponies. They're more of... take-away ponies. No time for fruit. No I wanted to thank you for taking care of me the other day when I was dreaming of being chased by Savage Gardens," (Yeah that was scary to come up with! Venus fly traps EVERYWHERE) He nudged an orange towards her. "The seeds might come out your nose," he wheedled.
Brili says: “Well then, keep them for the journey home," Famine suggested, pushing it back to him. "Seriously, Heketoro, I'm fine. I ate yesterday," she repeated with a smile. "Savage Gardens, hm? I don't think thats what they intended for the name to be like, but I suppose thats one way of looking at it..." Famine realized that her voice sounded flat, and automatically perked it up. "Maybe I'll sing you another one of their songs if we ever see each other again," she offered, looking away from him, at the forest around them, anything but him... Em says: Heketoro looked at Mina with big calf eyes. "You don't like them? Okay, what do you like then? There are ponies in my herd I could ask... do you like fortune tellers? Jewellery? Flowers? Lots of flowers... Uhm," he was thinking of what else he could con out of somone. Hmmm...
Brili says: Famine laughed at Heketoro. "Please, sweetheart, don't worry about me--I live the bare life...Keep your flowers, jewelry, and useless talking people..I'm not mad at you or anything..Why would I be?" she asked, sitting next to him. "And yes, I like oranges, but I told you--I ate yesterday. I don't eat but maybe once every three days..if that. I'm not used to same kind of life you are..I'm not an important pony." She shrugged, "It's just that simple, dear--everyones scared of me, so I'm not normal. I live on my own adventure. A very lonely, sad, boring one..But hey, not everyone can be a superhero." Em says: Heketoro rubbed his nose. It was amazing how perfectly she described his own situation. Ponies saw him for his talent- they used him for their own ends then grudgingly took care of him. If he had been any other he would have revolted but he saw a duty to his talent- if he had it, he should use it to better his family. "I'm accepted only as what I do, Mina," he said softly. "You're accepted as what you look like. But I aceept how they accept me... and you hide from how they accept you... You shouldn't hide... but don't be like me," his voice was oddly flat and he looked at the flick of mane over his shoulder. He was a coward, that was it- he always had been. He couldn't stand up for himself. He was a coward and that is what he told himself every day.
Brili says: "At least you know how they accept you.." Famine said with a sigh, watching the ground in front of her. "All I know is ponies run off. That could mean a million different things...But you didn't..You're different...You actually talked to me..And I was able to help you. I did something useful for once..Huh." She smiled, then looked over at Heketoro. "And look at you now...Here you are, trying to get me to eat...Would it make you feel better if I ate one?" she asked, nudging him gently to show that she wasn't mad or upset at him. "You're better than what everyone makes of you, Heketoro..They just refuse to admit it. They gave you a negative self image, and you're sticking yourself to said image because thats what you were raised with...But I'm determined to help you in any way I can. And look at me..Sitting here saying all this when I'm in the same situation--I should take my own advice, don't you think?" Em says: "Eh," said Heketoro, waving his hoof like it didn't bother him. "They mean well... But it isn't my place to correct them. They run the herd, I just heal. Funny word, heal. Because I don't heal... I borrow." He sighed. "Well I'd like it if I could give you something for hanging out with me when I felt sick," he said. "If you don't want them then I'll just have to eat them all myself! Want to see?"
Brili says: Famine took an orange and bit off of it, not bothering to take the peel off. "Heketoro, you shouldn't wave it off like it's nothing," she said once she'd swallowed the orange. "I can see it in your expression--you feel used...you're worth more, Heketoro, much, much more. You shouldnt treat yourself negatively.." she set the orange down and laid down, her head on top of her hooves. "But I'll stop lecturing you now," she said, her voice containing only a hint of the sadness that she really felt. She wanted him to see himself better..but she couldnt see herself better...so why shouldnt she just shut up? "Thank you for the orange, dear," she added grabbing the orange again, bringing it in front of her and messing around with it. Em says: Heketoro smiled. "It's ok. I don't mind you talking. Truth is... I don't know how it would be if they saw me as someone, not something. I suppose I'm afraid I'm making it up, like it's all in my head and they're actually treating me very well. May I?" He chose and orange and nibbled into it. "Zesty... You know... when you say how you feel... it hurts... because you're brave enough to say it."
Brili says: "I'm only brave enough to say it because its you I'm talking about, Heketoro. I'm too scared to say anything about myself... “ Em says: ” You and I are more alike than we know," she said with a sigh before taking another bite of orange. "If you'd like, I could go with you and help you decide whether you're making it up or not...They probably wouldn't enjoy my company, though."
Brili says: "I don't want you to go there," said Heketoro. "They... they're not very understanding. I had to deliver some babies for one of our sisters... and she wouldn't look at them. She hated them. I fell... so terrible for bringing them into this world where thier mother can't stand the sight of them. I don't want you to go to my family and see what they do to you. I don't want to feel so sad that I belong to them," his voice was slowly getting softer and softer. "You don't have to go there, like I do. Be happy." Em says: Famine sighed, standing up and plopping down right in front of Heketoros face. "Heketoro, I am going to help you, no matter what it takes me. Do you hear?" she asked, watching him thoroughly. "You deserve better. I don't care if other ponies hate me, but you have no reason to be hated. You only try to help others. I want you to be happy, not telling yourself that you're useless!" Her voice was getting just a little llouder as she spoke to him. "I'm sorry if I seem like I'm lecturing or yelling at you, but I want you to see yourself differently. It may be too late to change my views of myself, but I feel like we can change you."
Brili says: Heketoro edged up and touched her nose with his. "But I'm fine. I'm better now," he said, smiling. "I think... I can be content. If I can talk to you." Em says: "Okay then..."
Brili says: Famine sighed in relief, smiling at Heketoro before giggling. "Well, I'll be around if you ever wanna talk..So..What do you wanna talk about?" she asked. She crossed her eyes and tried to look at Heketoro. Em says: "Anything," he said brightly. "What's your favourite type of flower? What songs do you like? Are you good at drawing?" He smiled warmly.
Brili says: Famine laughed at Heketoro. "Either lilacs or roses, definitely. I'm a girl, what can I say? Uhm..I love rock, pop, and country..Favorite band is Savage Garden--oh yeah, I promise I'd sing to you again, didn't I? Uhm, and I can't draw worth a flip. How about you? What are your favorite things to do? Whats your favorite fruit? Ever done anything exciting?" Em says: I don't think I've done anything exciting," Heketoro admitted. "But I like Pansy and Holly myself. I can sort of draw. I like soft little berries that squish between your teeth- not the poisonous ones though," he chuckled. "I don't think I have a favourite type of music, but I like the type you can dance to. Do you dance?"
Brili says: "I usually don't eat berries, they tend to disagree with my stomach. Then you love the dance genre. I can dance, but I don't think I'm any good," Famine said with an embarrassed smile. "Do you dance? I bet you're better than me. And I'll make sure to get you some holly for your birthday or something, I think I can find some." Em says: "The Holly Fairies leave me some every birthday," said Heketoro. "No, not really the dance genre... mostly clasical. I can ballroom dance," he said shyly. "You probably think that's boring."
Brili says: Famine blinked, "Actually, no. I've never really tried. It seems kind of nice, but I don't really know. The music you can ballroom dance to is soothing, and I'm sure the style of dance is the same way...I'd try if I could, I'm usually almost always up to new things. Mostly I do silly things like the macarena or the chicken dance. I know, stupid," she said with a sigh. "I'm not that coordinated." Em says: Heketoro smiled wider. "I can teach you some steps if you like. We don't have the music though... but that's ok, right?"
Brili says: Famine saw Heketoro smile, and she smiled back. "Music doesn't matter to me.If you'd like to teach me, then I'd be happy to learn. But I warn you..I lack any skills. If I fall on you, feel free to yell at me." Em says: "I wouldn't yell at a girl!" said Heketoro, appalled. "Anyway." He stood up. "Here we go!" He took her hooves in his- lets pretend they're anthros for a sec, k lol- and imagined the beat starting in.
Brili says: Famine blushed as she felt Heketoros hooves on hers. Over-consciously, she looked down at hindlegs. Please, please, please don't let me mess this up! she thought, blushing, making her face turn a dark purple. "Y-You're a very good dancer," she offered, embarrassed, wondering how she must be doing in his eyes. Em says: "Not really," said Heketoro. "I think you're doing very well- I think if we had the music it would be easier." He started to hum the song they danced to.
Brili says: "You're the one who knows what you're doing.." Famine responded softly before falling silent to listen to Heketoro. Soon she found herself with her eyes closed, not paying attention to anything but the steps and the sound of his voice. "You sound like you'd be a good singer," she said after a few more moments, opening her eyes, her voice taking the tone that it would after one woke up from a nap. She looked up at Heketoro and smiled at him. Em says: The humming broke as Heketoro cleared his throat. "I never found the words I wanted to sing," he said. "Not like you." He started up again. And stopped. "You're very good at this."
Brili says: Famine blushed even more. "H-Hardly,you're the one teaching me," she squeaked, looking down again. "I love music..And singing. I wouldn't mind hearing you sing..But, I'm lucky that I'm getting to dance with you.." she looked back up at him. "Are you having fun?" she asked, nudging him slightly to see if he'd fall over. "You sure look like it." Em says: Heketoro poked her back. "You ramble when you're embarrassed, you know that?" he asked.
Brili says: Famine nodded minutely pulling away slightly. "I-I'm sorry, I don't mean to, I..." she trailed off. She couldnt take her eyes off him for some really strange reason. "Y-you looked like you were enjoying yourself..I wanted you to have some fun..You do so much...I'm sorry.." Em says: Heketoro nodded sagely. "You're still rambling." Then he smiled. "You sound like a little girl! That's so cute!"
Brili says: By this time Famines face was a darker purple than a grape. "F-Fine!" she said, backing up a few steps. "I-I'll stay silent so you can enjoy the rest of your day,' she promised, plopping down right where she was and staring at him, trying to calm her emotions. "Wait..Was that an insult or a compliment?” Em says: Heketoro plopped (heh heh plop) beside her. "Your face looks like a berry." He aused for dramatic effect. "I said cute didn't I?" He squished her quickly. "Coz you're so cuuuute!"
Brili says: Famine, if it was even possible, blushed even more. "I-I am not cute!Youre cuter than I am, and I've thought that longer, so you can quit trying to embarrass me!" she responded, her voice an entire pitch higher than normal and cracking fairly often .She squeaked as she fell over onto the ground "A-alright, you've got me where you want me--whadda'ya want?" Em says: Heketoro didn't answer right away; he was laughing too hard. He flipped onto his back and laughed harder, his legs flailing hlplessly. "You're sooooo funny! When you're embarrassed, you ramble and you abandom proper english." He gasped. "No-one else can make me laugh like that," he giggled. Then he stopped. "Hey what did you say before?"
Brili says: Famine stared at Heketoro before glaring at him. "It's not nice to laugh at peoples embarrassment," she muttered before looking away from him. "I didn't say nothin that didn't make you laugh, apparently..." She stood up, walking over and gently kicking him on one of his legs--she wouldnt actually hurt him. "Well, while you laugh here, Imma go and..d-do..something...that doesnt make you laugh!" Em says: Heketoro sat up. "Oh don't." He walked up to her and hugged her, squishing her and turning his head away so he didn't inhale her hair. "Please don't! You're too much fun."
Brili says: "I love you too," Famine muttered sarcastically as the purple faded back to blue. "Fine.." she said, hugging Heketoro back--for his sake. "But I will get you back--somehow. I still don't see how I'm that funny..But whatever," she said, giggling slightly as she kissed Heketoro on the cheek. "If you laugh at that, then you seriously need a therapist..I was trying to freak you out with it." Em says: Heketoro's jaw dropped. He looked at Famine and choked on her hair so he let go f her and sat down in shock. "That was a kiss," he said.
Brili says: Famine laughed, not anywhere near as hard as Heketoro, but she laughed none the less. "Yeah, your point?" she asked with a smile, sitting down next to him. "I'm a girl, come on, you should have expected something girly comin' at'cha. And I'll do it again, too, if you wanna embarrass me again." Em says: "Yeah but at least I don't have girl germs!" He said in a huff. "Then he laugehd again. "That was a joke, I kid I kid, I'm above that stage now." He stood up and waggled his eyebrows. "You can try again anytime you want." He paused again. And then laughed some more. "That's so funny!"
Brili says: Famine watched him, a Don't dare me to, I might look on her face. "So childish.." she chastised playfully, standing up and nudging him slightly. "Be careful, I just might...At anytime, your laughter could be muffled...Maybe..Just maybe.." she smiled, and caught him in another kiss as he was laughing--this time, though, it wasnt a modest peck on the cheek. Em says: Heketoro reeled and his eyelids fluttered. "Uhm," he said. "Uhm. Uhm. My head hurts..."
Brili says: Famine grinned at him. "Now you know never to mess around with me," she said triumphantly, laughing and trotting back to the tree they were over. She picked her orange up and continued to eat it, watching Heketoro in amusement. "Are you gonna live there, dear?" she called, still smiling at him. "You can't just die from simple contact, you know." Em says: "I bet you could if you tried real hard," he said petulently. He tried to stand up and fell down again. "Owch... Why did you do that? I can't feel my legs! Any of them..."
Brili says: "You embarrassed me--I got you back..Simple," said Famine after finishing the last of her orange. "But hey, I'll leave if you want me to," she added, standing up, watching him, a new air about her. She swiftly trotted up to him, pulled on one of his hooves, and, after she got him up, smiled at him. "Hope you feel better--I'll see ya around..maybe." Em says: "Ok... Bye Mina!" He called after her, wobbling a little. Wow that was wierd he thought.
Brili says: Famine rolled her eyes. "I wasn't actually going to leave, weirdo. But its nice to know that you really care if I do or not.." she said sarcastically with a sigh. "I hope you have a safe trip home, and that you find yourself in a better situation next time." Famine began to walk off. She stopped about a hundred feet or so away, under a tree, and sat down. She leaned her head against the tree and closed her eyes. So much for getting any sense through him... Em says: Heketoro blinked. "You weren't leaving? Then why did you say you were leaving? Mina?" He tottered over.
Brili says: "I was asking if you wanted me to, dear," Famine replied, opening her eyes. "Apparently I shocked you more than I had intended. I'm sorry," she apologized, keeping her eyes ahead of her. "I wont touch you again." Em says: "No you didn't," said Heketoro. "You didn't ask... You can be very impulsive sometimes," he said gingerly. "But it didn't freak me out. Not a bit. Okay? Okay."
Brili says: Famine rolled her eyes. "You couldnt even stand up for five minutes afterwards, Heketoro. I freaked you out. It's no big deal, dear," she said simply, looking past him at another tree. She sent a small tunnel to get a couple pears from it. The tunnel came back, dropped the pears, and vanished. "Feel free to take one," she said boredly, grabbing one and taking a big bite out of it. She watched Heketoro as she chewed. "Well, what're you just standing there for?" she asked after she swallowed. "Am I that ugly?" Em says: Heketoro's knees unbuckled and he slightly collapsed to the ground. "Pear..." He pulled it closer and at it. "You're not ugly! You're... you're blue! That's what you are. Isn't there a song like that?"
Brili says: "You're thinking of 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' by Eiffel 65," Famine said, swallowing another bite of pear. She began to sang out of random habit. "Yo listen up, heres the story about a little guy who lives in a blue world; and all day and all night, and everything he sees is just blue, like him, inside and outside. Blue his house with a blue little window and a blue corvette.." Em says: All I know is that it was scary and techo-ey he thought. Then he smiled and bopped his head along with the words.
Brili says: Famine continued singing, watching Heketoro in wariness. After she finished, she continued to watch him. "Any requests?" she asked before she attempted to stifle a yawn. "Or are you just gonna start laughing at me again?" Em says: Heketoro shook his head. "Nope, you are a good singer," he said brightly. "But you're tired... does that mean you want to go home?"
Brili says: Famine blinked, looking at Heketoro. "I am home," she said, watching him, confused. "Shouldnt you be heading home?" Em says: Heketoro shrugged. "I don't have a curfew- I suppose that's the good thing about no-one caring about me."
Brili says: "Nobody from your herd," she corrected uselessly, her gaze leaving Heketoro and watching a random squirrel that decided to scutter by. "There are ponies who care about you." Em says: "Aw that's nice of you," said Heketoro. "But I don't think you'll be much fun to talk to if you're asleep... Would you rather sleep?"
Brili says: Famine sighed, glaring at Heketoro. "What, my interesting little easy amused sweetheart, gave you the idea that I wanted to sleep?" she asked, annoying, watching him for his reaction. "All I said was that I cared about you--are you insane or something? I'm not tired! I'm trying to get you to understand that you arent as low as you think you are!" Em says: Heketoro blinked, struck dumb by how deep her emotions were and how eloquently she expressed them. "I just saw you yawning," he explained. "I thought you were tired, and before you said you were going home. But it's quite kind of you to endevour as you do to make me feel better about myself," he said sweetly.
Brili says: Famine, finally thoroughly annoyed and frustrated, squeaked and let herself flop back onto the ground. "Heketoro, this isnt about me, this is about you!" She said, exasperated, watching the sky as tears came to her eyes. (If thats even possible.o.O;. For this it is.xD) "Apparently you've been treated like trash for so many years that you don't know who you are--why cant you realize that there are ponies who care about you? I dont matter! You do!" Giving up, Famine closed her eyes. "I-I might not be able to change your opinion about me," she said softly after a moment, her voice cracking, "But you're worth more than you think you are..I wouldn't have hung around so long if I didnt think so." Brili says: Famine opened her eyes, glaring at Heketoro. "You're confusing, you know that, right?"she asked, looking away from him again. "I dont get you." Em says: "I don't get myself," said Heketoro. "Or you. So we're even."Brili says: "What about me is there not to get?" she snapped in question, a tunnel forming in front of her out of frustration. "I'm a stupid, feared, ugly pony who wanders around the valley on her own. Am I that complicated?I never thought I was this useless..." Em says: "The thing is you think you're simple when in fact you're very complex," Tory said. "Calm it down- I'm not going to maul you." He smiled. Brili says: "Then tell me how I've complicated, Mr.Loves-To-Cofuse-Me," she said after taking a deep breath, the tunnel shattering. "Maybe it'll help me act a tiny bit more understandable." Em says: Heketoro shook his head. "I can't tell you what you have to find out. As much as I'd like to, I can't mess with that divine right." Brili says: Famine had to take another deep breath to keep herself steady. "Go home, Heketoro," she said, keeping her eyes on the ground. "Before I have to send a tornado on you would be preferable." Em says: Heketoro bit the inside of his lip, his eyes never leaving hers. Then he looked down. "Ok." He didn't want to upset her and so he got up and turned away. "I'll see you later," he called. And then he vanished into the scrawney trees. Brili says: After Heketoro left, Famine finally broke down. She sighed, a fairly-big tornado appearing in front of her before moving away from her, deciding its own course. "I tried..." she told herself, her voice sounding depressed as she laid her head down on her hooves. "Maybe he doesnt understand what I mean..."

Log Three- Fruits of Romance- Fruits of WrathBrili says: Some time later, Famine was going around, collecting fruits for some big thing the valley was doing, a small tunnel a few feet behind her, collecting ones that she couldnt reach. "Owch," she muttered as an apple hit her on the head. Smooth, Famine, she thought, putting the fruit in the basket that one of the other ponies had made her. She continued on. Em says: Heketoro slipped out from a tree, with an apple that was dropped. He tried to put it back in the basket without Famine noticing.Brili says: "Nice try, dear," Famine said, watching him from the corner of her eye before continuing to the next tree, adjusting the tunnel to where it didn't hit him. "It's kind of obvious when there are shadows in daylight. What are you doing around this part of the valley this time?" she asked, gently shaking a branch, standing up on her hind legs. "Broken hoof?" Em says: "Broken hoof?" asked Heketoro. "Nooo... why would you say that, Mina?" Brili says: Famine settled back firmly on the ground, tossing a couple of oranges into the basket. She shrugged, picking the basket back up and turning to face him. "Last time we saw each other you said that we might meet up when you had a broken hoof...I just thought it was funny to ask," she responded, her voice monotone as she watched him with emotionless eyes. "So, whats your illness this time?" Em says: Heketoro smiled. "No, actually. I'm fine. The accident prone ponies seem to have had a few good days." Brili says: Famines eyes brightened a bit, but she kept her voice careful. "Then what're you doing out here?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. "Why aren't you back having fun with the younger ones? They should be much more enjoyable since they're not sick." Em says: Heketoro didn't want to say he'd been following her for a few days so he said; "Oh just out... and about... and apple a day keeps Tory away, as they say," he joked. Brili says: Famine stared at him for a moment. "Whoever says that outta be smacked," she said simply, continuing to walk, keeping at a pace that they could easily talk. "You're a great guy--dunno why people dislike you so much..Do we have anything besides apples, oranges, and pears around here?" she asked rhetorically, slightly annoyed, as she looked around. Em says: "There are yummy berries... but you don't like them," said Heketoro. "I don't think we have any peaches or anything..." Brili says: "Oh, these aren't for me," Famine said, blinking at Heketoro, "These are for some big family thats having some big event. I offered to do it since I hardly ever do anything with my life except stuff that has to do with tunnels or tornadoes. Plus its keeping me entertained..slightly anyway." Sighing, Famine placed the basket on the ground and sat down next to it. "So far I've only been out here for maybe two hours...Its boring, living alone. You never have anything to do...So," she continued, attempting to change the subject, "How have you been?" Em says: "Healthy," said Heketoro. "Well then there are some strawberries down by the stream over here," he said, leader her to them and picking a few. "It's nice of you to help." Brili says: Famine laughed, picking up he basket and following after him, "Besides healthy, sweetheart, we both know thats a marvel," she said, gently nudging him before picking some berries. "Eh, I try to be useful when possible--what else is there to do? Not a whole lot. Oh, thanks for showing me these, by the way," she added with a smile. Em says: "You're welcome," said Heketoro, picking the strawberries. "No, nothing much has happened." Brili says: "Oh, you sound so interesting," said Famine with a roll of her eyes before throwing a strawberry at him. "Come on, something must have happened lately. Have you been stalked? Any new kids on your herd? Anything?" she asked, throwing another strawberry at him. "We need opinions, statements..something!" Em says: Heketoro put up his hooves to deflect the strawberries. "You're pelting me with the fruit of love!" he cried. "Well... there is one new pony. Jacaranda, she's very pretty and she likes the forest." Brili says: Famine blinked after throwing another strawberry at him. "Love?" she repeated before laughing. "Looks like you fell in love with this new pony--why don't you go talk to her?" she suggested, turning back to the bushes to continue picking berries, trying to contain laughter. "Maybe you'd make a friend in your herd." Em says: "She's kind of a loner. She rarely comes out of the forest," Heketoro said, catching the last strawberry and eating it. "Mmmm. She doesn't like other ponies much. Anyways, I'm not that interested." Brili says: Famine rolled her eyes, "Sounds like she and I might get along semi-decently. Are you interested in anything?" she asked, picking up the basket and sitting it under a tree. "You don't seem like it," she said, walking over to the nearby stream and taking a drink. Em says: "No,I'm not really interested in much..." he smiled. "You're into everything so I suppose that must be enough for both of us." Brili says: "What do I have to do with it?" Famine asked, standing back up and facing Heketoro, confused. "None of this entire conversation has been about me, I've been trying to avoid that. You're your own pony..I cant be both of us." Em says: Heketoro shrugged. "Then you'll have to accept that I'm a boring pony- I dont have any extreme hobbies- I don't even read." Brili says: Famine sighed, "Then why do you even come around to see me of all ponies?" she asked, plopping down onto the ground. "I make even less sense than you do. I bet you'd be happy if you spent some time around other ponies, I'm no where near exciting as they are." Em says: Heketoro grinned. "But me being boring and you being only a little exciting is great because if I went and made friends with extremely exciting ponies, they'd think me even more boring than you do," he said. "Besides I enjoy your company." Brili says: Famine watched him. "...You lost me," she said before shaking her head. "I'm company to nobody, you like following me around for something, and I wanna know what!" She grabbed an apple from the basket, sending out a small tornado to go get a couple more. "Fruit?" she added in an offer, motioning to the basket. Em says: "That's for the event, isn't it?" ased Heketoro. "I shouldn't. But you're company to me. I Like being around you. Brili says: Famine rolled her eyes, taking a bite out of the apple right as the tornado returned with a few more fruits, dropping them in the basket. "They make the profit," she pointed out obviously before offering again. "You follow me around because you like my company? Then how come I do a lot of the talking? Do you like the sound of my voice or something?" she asked before taking another bite of her apple. Em says: "You have a nice voice," said Heketoro. "It's nice listening to you." Brili says: "I have a nice voice?" Famine repeated. She shook her head, "I swear..Well, at least you dont have a crush me. That would be horrible. Anyway...Wait...Does that mean you want me to sing again?" Em says: "You can sing if you like," said Heketoro, eating another strawberry. "I like your singing too, as much as your talking." Brili says: "Oh, thats so helpful.." Famine muttered, but began to sing anyway. "Love and other moments are just chemical reactions in your brain, in your brain, and feelings of agression are the absence of the love drug in your vains, in your vains...Love come quickly..Cause I feel my self-esteem is caving in, its on the brink..." Em says: Heketoro began humming along with the tune. "As I said, your voice is lovely." Brili says: Famine blushed a light purple. "T-Thank you," she stuttered, quickly hiding her face by summoning another tornado. "T-that was "Gunning Down Romance" by Savage Garden." Em says: "You have lovey taste in songs," said Heketoro, winking. "Of course, the songs I like are impossible to sing to." Brili says: Famine blushed harder when Heketoro winked at her. "D-Dont make me kiss you again!" she stuttered, failing at trying to sound threatening. "You know I will, Heketoro, don't you dare doubt me!" And..why did she suddenly feel weird? Em says: "Ooooh! Go ahead!' joked Heketoro, pursing his lips. Brili says: Glaring at him, and still blushing, Famine stood up, stomped over to him, and kissed him, staying that way for a moment before pulling away. "Just like last time...Now will you please give me a reason why you've been following me around?" she asked softly. Em says: "If I said it was for another kiss would you get so annoyed you'd kiss me again?' asked Heketoro, a flush suffusing his cheeks. Brili says: Famine blinked, blushing an even darker shade of purple. "No..." Quickly she leaned in and kissed him again, pulling away a few moments after. "But I'll kiss you anytime you want." A minute or so later, Famine realized what she said, and squeaked in embarrassment. Em says: Heketoro blinked and laughed. "Oh dear you've got me started again." He wrapped his forlegs around Famine in a big hug. "Hug Mina!!!" Brili says: "Aww crap!" Famine squeaked, blushing even darker and sqiurming in Heketoros grasp. "Why don't you ever take me seriously?!" she asked, finally just freezing, standing there, glaring at him. "You think everything I say and do is a joke! It's NOT all jokes!"
Em says: "But I'm not joking," said Heketoro in suprise. "So what's wrong?" Brili says: "How can you joke when I'm the one doing most of the talking?" Famine asked, sighing. "You just totally confused me...Do you enjoy embarrassing me? Is that all I'm good for to you? It sure seems like I'm just here for your amusement." Em says: "Eh?" asked Heketoro, still cuddling Famine. "Joking? But I'm not- and no! You seem to be taking this awfully hard," he said sadly. He released her. His face wore a frown. Brili says: Famine laughed at Heketoros expression. "You always find a way to confuse me, thats all," she responded, kissing Heketoro one more time before picking her basket up. "So, what?Does this mean you're gonna be stalking me for the next millennium in hopes that I'll kiss you again?" she joked, continuing to walk on, waiting for Heketoro to deny what hes thinking. Em says: "I think this means you don't care at all," he said softly. "How can you critiscise me for being kind?" He shook his head. "I don't know..." He walked away with his head lowered. Brili says: Famine sighed, stopping near the stream. "I don't think it could have gotten anymore obvious..." she told herself, shaking her head. "I warned him when I first met him, though...He knows I care about him." Summoning a small tornado, she let it take the basket. It made a loud splash as it hit the water, and the tornado carried all the contents away. "Time for me to go home and start causing Famines again..Ha."

Log Four- "I love weddings. And you. You a lot more than weddings"Em says: Heketoro squeezed through the onlookers, searching for Mina.
Brili says: Famine sighed. "Alright, Jarvaine, alright, just be careful--thats my sprained hoof." Em says: Heketoro sighted Mina and his head rose above the crowd like a perascope before drifting down again. He weaved in amongst the well-wishers wishing well and sidled up to Famine. "Oh don't tell e you dieted just to see me," grinned Heketoro.Brili says: Famines eyes widened slightly. "Oh no.." she groaned, sighing again. "That is not funny, Heketoro," she snapped, jumping slightly as Jarvaine suddenly let go of her hoof.
She turned to Heketoro. "Is there a reason you're here?" she asked, watching him warily.
Em says: Heketoro grinned. “It‘s your herd-mate who‘s getting married, right? I came to see you,” he said happily.Brili says: "Didn't you learn anything about me when you met me? I don't even talk to Selaris, I'm only here because her cousin, Kaleyi, asked me to come," Famine responded, keeping her voice carefully monotone. "If it wasn't for that, I'd be back home treating my hoof. If you came here just to depress me, then feel free to leave," she hinted, continuing to walk, wincing slightly.
Em says: Heketoro sputtered. “Uhm.. But you are here!” He circled around her and faced her. “So… I was sort of right… I didn‘t expect you to be here. What‘s up with your hoof? I could fix that for you. I could!” He said earnestly.Brili says: Famine stopped, turning around and facing Heketoro. "It's just sprained," she said softly, watching him. She heard him stutter, and suddenly she didnt think he was here to torture her. "Nobody really expected me to be here..I'm an unpredictable pony.Is there anything I can help you with, Heketoro?"
Em says: ”Ask me to heal you,” pleaded Heketoro. “Please?”Brili says: Famine blinked. "Why would I do that? That would just give you the pain, and I don't want you hurt..So no, I'm not gonna set this on you."
Em says: ”But I don‘t want you to have the pain,” said Heketoro. “Oh please let me have it. Please?”Brili says: Famine sighed, "I'm fine, Heketoro, its been like this for a few days now. No use for you to worry about me, it doesn't hurt that much anymore." Famine smiled at her friend. "So, is there anything else I can do for you?"
Em says: Heketoro snugged Famine. “Aww I don‘t like watching you hobble… Oh but I do have something for you,” Heketoro presented Famine with a purple box about the size or a CD.Brili says: Famine blinked, blushing slightly. "If you say so..Whats this?" she asked, confused, slowly taking the box and looking at it. "Shouldn't you be giving gifts to the bride and groom?" she added, looking back up at Heketoro. "I'm not getting married..."
Em says: ”I don‘t know the bride and groom, and besides, this is for you.” He plucked the lid off and inside the rather drabby box was a clear bottle resting on soft mint leaves. “There wasn‘t any nice packaging at home and mint is nice,” explained Heketoro. He plucked out the bottle and pressed the nozzle. A puff of apple scent lingered in the air. “See? It‘s apple. I figured if you couldn‘t eat them you could smell them.”Brili says: It took Famine a few moments to catch up because Heketoro was talking so fast. Once she smelled apples, though, she blinked, and suddenly sneezed. "Ow.." She muttered, rubbing her throat. "Thank you, Heketoro, its nice..But don't spray so close next time, sweetheart," she requested with another smile, kissing Heketoro on the cheek. "But what is this for?"
Em says: ”It‘s for being,” he paused. “It‘s for, Uhm, you?” He said. He handed the bottle to her. “You like apples… apple smell…It‘s nice, isn‘t it?”Brili says: "For being me?" Famine asked, confused. "And thank you, once again...It is nice...But what does being me have to do with it? I'm not some famous pony or anything..."
Em says: ”I thought you‘d like a smell of apples. To tell you the truth I got some help from Verdis- she made the bottle and helped with the scent. I did the wrapping though,” he said eagerly. Then he realised the wrapping wasn‘t very good and coughed. “I don‘t think anyone else would like it as much as you would… do. You know,” he smiled.Brili says: Famine watched Heketoro, then laughed at him as he corrected himself. "I don't care about the way it looks, sweetheart, its the thought that counts," she responded, nuzzling Heketoro gently. "But that still doesnt explain why you came here..I cant be that important."
Em says: ”But you are,” said Heketoro. “I think you are. I like seeing you. You talk to me like I matter.”Brili says: "You do matter!" Famine insisted, watching him, worried. "I'll even let you take my pain if it helps prove it. You do matter! I care about you, I love you, can't you tell yet?" she asked, exasperated. "You're important!"
Em says: Heketoro blinked. “L…l…” He bumbled then he drew Famine in for a kiss. “Oh I love weddings,” he said dreamily. “And you. And you too. You a lot more than weddings.”Brili says: Famine blinked, blushing manically. "D-did you just kiss me, Tory?" she asked incredulously, her voice cracking slightly. "W-weddings are nice," she added in a mutter, slowly taking a step back. "A-as long as I'm not involved in them..."
Em says: Heketoro grinned. “Yup I did. I can do it again if you waaaant,” he leaned forward.Brili says: Famine squeaked, taking another step back. "O-okay, wait," she stuttered, trying her hardest to keep from blushing deeper. "When the heck did all this start happening?" she asked, slowly moving back to Heketoro. "I-I mean, I wouldn't mind, but...Oh, nevermind," she said, wincing slightly when she stepped on her sprained hoof. She watched him, and suddenly she couldnt help but to smile. "Youre so adorable, Heketoro."
Em says: Heketoro grinned sweetly. “Hey what happened to Tory? I like that… I think you‘re cute too,” he replied. “And you smell great. I like apples.”Brili says: Famine blinked. "Heketoro...Tory..You're the same person over all, what does it matter?" she asked before shaking her head. "Alright, fine, Tory. But it doesn't matter if I'm cute..You're the one that gave me apples, here," she joked with a smile. "..Just don't try to talk me into letting you have my hoof again, though."
Em says: Heketoro frowned. “I would if you‘d let me… I wish you‘d use my talent. It‘s terrible to be useless.”Brili says: Famine watched Heketoro for a moment, a debate raging in her head. Finally, she said, "If I let you heal me...You have to promise not to leave the wedding site without me. I know it'll take a while for that hoof to heal, and you're gonna need help. If you can do that, I'll let you heal me."
Em says: Heketoro blinked. “Yes! Sure yes! I swear, I promise.” He sank down to the floor and gently moved Famine‘s hoof. From where he held it, green energy flowed through. Once it encompassed the entire hoof, the energy surged back into Heketoro. He gave a grunt of pain as his hoof twisted itself unnaturally and went back into place. “All better?” he asked.Brili says: "No," Famine responded, kissing Heketoro on the cheek again. "I wish you didn't have to take the pain for me. You make me worry when you're sick or injured," she said with a sigh. "Is there anything I can do for you?" Em says: ”Nope, nothing,” said Heketoro proudly. Then his face dimmed. “I would like to sit down over there though…” he hobbled over.

Log Five- ...Are we sure he can swim?Em says: Heketoro lay in haunch deep grass, his world shrunk to the window of sky above him where the grass gave way to azure blue. He sneezed every so often for the smell of the sweet grasses.
Brili says: Famine made her way back to Heketoro with a basket of apples, oranges, pears, and other foods, tornadoes and tunnels following behind her at their leisure. She stopped a couple more times, grabbing various things, before seeing Heketoro. "You still havent moved?" she asked, worried, making her way to her friend. "Is something wrong, dear?" Em says: Heketoro looked up. "No, this is just a nice spot... Wanna lie down?" he asked, patting the grass. Then he spotted the basket. "Oooh what's in there?" he asked with big cute eyes. Brili says: Famine laughed, sitting down next to Heketoro and putting the basket down. "Food," she said simply, letting him look at it as she called the tornadoes and tunnels back. "I figured since you weren't gonna move all day, you werent gonna eat, either...So I got you some fruits," she added, kissing Heketoro on the cheek. "That, and I needed to move around..But thats beside the point," she added quickly, taking an apple out and munching on it. "Enjoying your lazy day?" Em says: Heketoro, with his nose in the basket, nodded and mumbled, "Surely am." He extricated himself with an apple in his mouth. "How're you doin'?"Brili says: Famine giggled at Heketoro when he came out with the apple. "Oh, you know me. I'm out and about. Still not very social, but I'm around," she responded between munches of her own apple. "Knew your day off was today, figured I'd come by and see if you were awake," she said playfully, swallowing the last of her apple and stretching. "Seems like a good thing I did--you looked like a zombie there for a few minutes. Hows life been since we last saw each other?" Em says: "Not real good," said Heketoro, rooting around in the basket again. "Jin Kyoshi challenged Kaiba to a fight and came off the worse. Huge welts on his face... he flew off before I could heal him though so I feel a little-" he cut off and chewing sounds came from the basket- "useless. I didn't know pawpaw grew here..."Brili says: Famines eyes took their worried tone, and she was glad that Heketoro couldnt see her. "It doesnt, I went to the boundaries. But that doesnt have to do with your herd--are you sure everythings gonna be okay? You can stay with me for a few days, if you'd like.I really dont want you involved in that kind of thing.." she trailed off, realizing just how she sounded, and blushed. "N-Not unless you just want to, I mean..Then I'd support you, but still.." Em says: Heketoro turned over and snuggled into the grass. "No... it's not going to be okay. No-one's seen Jin since and Brittania- not since the merpony thing. I think maybe she got hurt and won't come down. Or can't come down. I feel useless, still. It's great of you to offer- but it's a family thing. And I'm part of the family."Brili says: "Well, if you're sure that you're gonna be okay, then I support your decision," responded Famine with a smile. "Its good to know that your herd considers you family...Mine tries to reach out, but..." Famine shrugged. "I'm just not used to it, I suppose. Would you like me to leave you alone so you can take a nap?" she offered, seeing that Heketoro had brought himself out of the basket. "I just wanted to see how you were doing--I can leave now, if you'd like." Em says: "Oh no- sleeping, well you can always do that when you're dead. I don't know if they consider me family but I consider myself family and if not then I have no family. Except you," he said and he sat up. "Uh-" he said and he shaded his eyes, the grass shaded him from the sun and now it was in his eyes.Brili says: Famine blinked. "If they're not your family..Then how am I your family?" she asked, confused. "I'm not in your herd..Tory, that makes no sense," she said, watching Tory look at the sun. "Here," Famine added, handing Heketoro a fan she made out of grass and wood. "That'll sheild you from the sun, dear--but seriously. Are you okay?" Em says: "I think family is about the bonds you share not where you live." Heketoro took the fan. "Thanks," he said, smiling. "You are a person who wants nothing from me and yet you keep me company. That's what family does."Brili says: "...If you say so," said Famine, giving up being confused for laying down on the ground instead. She closed her eyes, avoiding Heketoros gaze, before moving on. "But you're wrong about me not wanting something from you--I want you to be happy. I want you to be able to show that you found that life is worth living, and not have to worry about what anyone else thinks..I want you to gain self confidence...Self confidence that I never had." Em says: Heketoro set the fan on his head and rustled his way into the enclave that Mina had flattened for herself and hugged her. "You're so cute!" he said sweetly, keeping both of them out of the sun with the fan hat thing.Brili says: Famines eyes opened when Heketoro hugged her. "Er..Thanks?" she said, doing the best she could to hug him back and not blush. "But I'm serious..I want you to feel comfortable. It doesnt matter if I'm around--I dont think you'll end up spending the rest of your life with me--but the way you take things is going to be half your life. But thanks for thinking I'm cute anyway," she added, confused. "But you're cuter than I am." Em says: "Awww," squeaked Heketoro. "Not as cute as you," he said. "You wanna do something? Like..." he looked off into space, thinking with his mouth slightly open. "Everything cool in these valleys is about food!" he complained. "And all the movies out right now suck..." Brili says: Famine watched Heketoro. "Wait..We have movie theaters around here?" Famine asked dumbly, staring at Heketoro. "A-and we dont have to do anything if you don't want to," she added with a stutter. "I'm content just laying here beside you.." she looked down, blushing. "Its your day off, we should only do what you wanna do." Em says: Heketoro smiled. "At the Kaiba mansion we do. But nothing good is showing." He thought for a minute more. "Oh how about we go swimming? Swimming is fun and you don't have to eat and it never gets old unless you get all pruny."
Brili says: "..Whats a Kaiba mansion?" Famine asked. A moment later, she shook her mind. "Nevermind, dont worry about it. But 'pruny', huh?" she asked, grinning at Heketoro. "You're so cute," she said, nuzzling Heketoro. "Swimming it is, dear. But good luck getting me up," she joked, yawning and closing her eyes again. Em says: Heketoro took the fan in his mouth and burrowed his head under the barrel of Mina's chest, flipping her past his shoulders. "'old on," he said through the fan and he wobbled off. "Youw'e really light."Brili says: Famine squeaked as she was moved by Heketoro. "Tory, I was just kidding!" she squealed, holding on to Tory for her life."You dont have to carry me--you can put me down.I can walk, really. And yeah I'm light...I never eat..." she muttered, depressed slightly by Heketoros comment. "You're forgetting about what my stomach looks like.." Em says: Heketoro grinned. "Well we have to fix that, eh?" he said happily, still not letting her off. "Take the fan please," he asked. "I gotta say being skinny is better than being fat. I couldn't lift you if you were fat." Brili says: "Fix what?" asked Famine, taking the fan from Heketoro. "And thanks, that really makes me feel better," she muttered darkly, sighing and snuggling on Heketoro. "If you insist on carrying me...but why do you insist? How am I so special to you, Tory?" Em says: Heketoro smiled, smelling the water up ahead. "Because you're spending time with me when you could be off snogging someone more attractive," he grinned and lowered her at the base of a swimming hole. "Nice, eh? I like it here. The crabs are friendly though..." He paused at the look on Mina's face. "Kidding... mostly."Brili says: Famine watched the crabs, but only to give Heketoro the satisfaction. What he said really bugged her. " I dont wanna snog anyone but you..You should know that by now.." she responded quietly, laying down and watching the crabs again. " I never have..and never will," she finished before diving into the water, afraid to let Heketoro see how she really felt. Em says: Heketoro blinked a bit. "Mina? You coming up yet? Mina???" he called before stepping lightly into the water. He wasn't... er... the best swimmer.Brili says: Famine popped up a few yards away from Heketoro, pretending that nothing ever happened, her monotone reserve coming back into place. "I'm fine," she said, her tone blank. "Aren't you coming in?" she asked, swimming over and helping Heketoro. "Aint that hard. And anyway, it was your idea--kinda moot if you cant swim, huh?" Em says: Heketoro choked. "I do so know how t swim!" he said indignantly. He strode into the water, shivvering. "See? I can so!" He pinwheeled as he lost his balance.Brili says: Famine tried hard to keep her blank mood--but was unsuccessful as Heketoro fell over. Quickly moving, Famine caught Heketoro before he went under. "Are we sure about this?" she asked playfully, leaning down and kissing him. She pulled away a few seconds later. " I think you could use a few lessons, personally," she advised, setting Heketoro on his feet before laying on her back with her eyes closed. Em says: Heketoro splurted water out of his mout. "Ugh... I just like catching crabs..." He dog paddled a bit untill his eyes were white with terror. "Maybe... I should... stop swimming! How are you so calm? Water is scary!"-------------------------------------------------- Brili says: Famine wasnt suprised. Laughing, she pulled Heketoros hoof and helped him get to land. "I love the water--its so calming. I always used to swim when I was younger. But I told you we didnt have to come unless you wanted to.." she said, laying down next to him and letting the sun dry her off. "And anyway, crabs arent the best things in the world, so you shouldnt have to kill yourself to catch them." Em says: Heketoro gained the bank and coughed, lying with his face planted into the dirt. "Ugh... Maybe I need lessons." He looked up and smiled. "I'm happy the water makes you happy."Brili says: "Maybe you need lessons?" asked Famine, eyebrows raised. "I'll teach you if you like--but first, lets let you revive yourself," she said with a smile, switching over to her side so she was facing Heketoro. She smiled at him before closing her eyes again. "Try not to cough up a lung, Tory..I dont want you to die...And I'm always happy when I'm around you, no matter how I look or act." Em says: Heketoro smiled. "We can try lessons," he said nicely, his fringe falling across his pale face. "Aww but you don't smile that big all the time. We should come here more often."Brili says: "I don't matter, Tory. You hardly ever give yourself time away from things--you shouldnt push yourself on your day off," Famine advised, yawning slightly. " And I only smile cause you make me smile...You're the only person that ever has. And probably ever will." Em says: Heketoro shivered. "Coooold." He snuggled up to Famine. He smacked his chops and yawned. "Drowning.... is tired..."Brili says: Famine laughed, nuzzling Heketoro and putting her hoof around his shoulder. "Need a nap there, Tory? she asked, watching him, both amused and confused. How could that take so much energy out of someone? "I'll stay here with you, if you'd like. Or would you rather me leave?" she asked, yawning herself. "Thats contagious..." Em says: Tory groaned and shuffled up. "Mina can I've a goodnight kiss?" he mumbled sleepily.Brili says: Em says: Heketoro wrapped his 'arms' around her and snuggled. "Luff you..."Brili says: Famine blinked, amazed at what she heard. "O-of course, dear," she responded softly, staring at Heketoro. After a moment, she finally got the courage and leaned down, placing her lips on his. Pulling away a few moments later, she smiled. "Good night,Tory," she whispered before closing her eyes and falling asleep herself.

Log Six- Brili says: Famine woke up the next day, groaning because of the sunlight. "Why is it so bright...?" she muttered, shielding her eyes. She slowly tried to open them, but was unsuccessful, so she took to rubbing the sleep out of them instead. She remembered where she was, and in the second time of trying to make her eyes come to life, was--very painfully so--successful. "Tory?" she asked sleepily, only to find what kind of position they were in. She blushed, "U-Uhm, Tory, its time to wake up..." Em says: Tory smiled with his eyes closed. "I'm awake, Mina," he said softly.Brili says: Famine blushed even further. "Oh good," she responded, covering her mouth with her hoof as she yawned. She thanked whatever power is up there that her voice was still full of sleep, giving her the cover of just waking up. "Sorry I slept so late..Seems as if I really needed it..Anyway...Are you hungry?" she asked before blinking up at the sun. "Ugh..Man, that thing is bright..." she groaned, covering her eyes by snuggling into Heketoro more.
Em says: Heketoro wrapped her up more soundly. "Snuggle... TICKLEFIGHT!" he said and he started tickling Famine all over, laughing all the way.Brili says: "Huh?" That was all Famine could get out of her mouth before she was thrown into a fit of giggles. She tried to get away from Heketoro, but was, unfortunately, unsuccessful. "W-what is up with you, Tory?" she stutters through giggles. "First you a-ask me for a g-goodnight kiss last night, n-now all of a sudden a tickle fight? Are you okay?" she asked, trying yet again to get away. Em says: Heketoro grinned and sat up. "I dunno- maybe just getting out of the herd... maybe I'm discovering that confidence you want me to have so much," he cocked his head with his eyes shut. "Wanna teach me to swim now?"Brili says: Famine smiled. "Well, I certainly do hope you're gaining self confidence..I lack in that department majorly." She blinked. "Teach you how to swim? Right after you wake up? Tory, you need breakfast first..And to open your eyes; you look like you're asleep when I know you're not," she added, poking Tory on the nose. "Open them, or I'll kiss you again." Em says: Heketro opened his eyes and his cheeks slackened. "Don't you think it's cute? Aww..." He snuggle-hugged her. "You're so agreeable this early in the morning... can I've that kiss anyways?" Brili says: Famine rolled her eyes, but laughed anyway. "Yes, I thought it was cute," she responded, nuzzling Heketoro. "But I think you're even cuter with your eyes open," she concluded, leaning in and kissing Heketoro like he'd asked.
Em says: Heketoro shook back his hair. "Let's do something- want to see me catch a crab?" He asked before kissing her again.Brili says: "Now why would I want to do that?" Famine joked, pulling away from Heketoro. "I'm happy right where I am--you'd have to pull me," she said, stretching and laying backwards again, her eyes closed. "And anyway, I dont want your nose chopped off by a crabs claw--I like your nose, its cute, just like the rest of you." Em says: Heketoro shrugged. "My cute self is hungry though." He looked around, like maybe a piece of toast would dance out from under a bush or a pancake would roll out of the water. Brili says: "Still got the basket I brought you yesterday," Famine offered smoothly, a small tunnel coming along, carrying the basket on top of it. "Remembered to get it before you dragged me off. I could go get something else for you if you'd like, though," she said, yawning again as the tunnel set the basket down in front of Heketoro. "Just ask--your word is my command." Em says: Heketoro blinked. "But you said you were tired... can we both go then? I could carry you again?" he asked, smirking a little.Brili says: "B-But finding you food is for your benefit," squeaked Famine, sitting up again. "And I never said I was tired! And carrying me would only wear you out!" she protested, standing up. "No, no, I'll go on my own. You tell me what you want, and you rest. I'll get it for you."
Em says: Heketoro's mouth slid open. "O... okay if you feel that strongly about it. Then get me... whatever you think will go well with crab," he winked. Then he scanned the ground until he found a longish stick. "Perfect," he smiled.Brili says: Famine watched Hektoro grab the stick. "On second thought, I'll just stay here," she said quickly, grabbing the basket and going to stand next to Heketoro. "I dont want you to drown yourself like yesterday...I'm staying with you. We'll have crabs, apples, pears, peaches..and whatever else I brought yesterday...But you're not going in that water by yourself!"
Em says: Heketoro frowned. "I'm not going in the water," he said. He went down to the water's edge and went into teh shadiest part, lying on his stomach with the stick. Then he put the tip of the stick into the water, waving it about crazily with times when it was still. A crab slowly came out into view. It appeared to be watching the stick. One second more... two... then the crab leapt and crushed the stick. Heketoro flicked the biggish crap onto the bank and then turned it onto its back and covered it with leaves. "There," he said proudly. "It can't get up."Brili says: Famine watched Heketoro, lost and confused...But mostly confused. "Uhm, okay..." she said, watching the crab, backing away slightly. "Now what? Do you eat it?" she asked, taking an apple out and biting down on it. "I've never tried crab, so feel free to dig in to it--I'm fine with apples," she said, swallowing her bite of food. "But shouldnt you cook it first?" Em says: Heketoro smiled. "Yeah... uh but do you want to watch? Girls don't like that stuff..." He said quietly. He burrowed into the undergrowth and dusted off the small pot he found there. "I like the crab here so I leave this- it's only big enough for one so I can't be tempted to take any more. I don't want to damage the ecosystem." Brili says: Famine smiled. "I'm not like other girls, Heketoro," she said simply before kissing Heketoro once more. When she pulled away, she backed away from the crab a few paces. "But I will stay away from it--getting either of us burned wouldnt be a good thing. Continue on, Chef Heketoro. If you need some apples to cook or something, they're right there," she added, pointing to the basket before sitting down and watching. Em says: Heketoro smiled and filled the pot with water. He scooped out a ditch and laid dry sticks in before starting a fire (he also kept a box of matches- he wasn't all nature boy XDDD). "Just a while until it's hot enough... I don't think apples will go well with this recipe..." He scooped the crab into the pot and sloshed over to the fire. The crabwas clattering around and Heketoro put the pot lid on top of it before putting it over the fire.Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says: Brili says: Em says:
