Shimagakure is located in the Wave country to the far east just before the Water Country. It is a small island not even written on the map. The boat takes people from Shimagakure to the mainland and drops them off in the fire country under the guise of a fisherman's boat captained by Baka Lao. Shimagakure's location is secret, but as war and shinobi popularity begin to rise, more and more have knowledge of its whereabouts.

The Rice Country has officially closed itself to anything but trade. Being centered in protecting his borders it has placed Anti-Shinobi Laws ordering arrest to any spotted shinobi,this, this because of the past problems and the employment of these by druglords.To enforce the law the Daimyo has the power of some Samurais and ronins specially trained to fight shinobis. His current objective is to eliminate the inner power-struggle between drug lords in the country and capture the mastermind Hotori Yako most prominent of these.

The Campaign against the world has come to a hault now that Tenmoki has taken the throne of the Fire Country. He is working his hardest to right the wrongs that had been done by Shiyue and bring the Fire country to a more humbled state. He is trying his best to mend relations with other countries and open relations with the Earth Country.
The fire country is on a campaign to take over the bordering countries to gain more military power. This has temporarily been halted with the assassination of both Shiyue and Harada, and the forced removal of Tenmoki from office by Shimagakure shinobi. Shiyue's son, Yugi, has taken over and is faithfully following in his father's footsteps. He has a burning hatred for Shimagakure and plans to wipe out the leaders of Shimagakure.

The country remains isolated from all outside conflicts. The mountains surrounding the country aide in their isolation. Not much is known about the current events happening in the Earth Country, but only that their leader is a young woman highly trained in Ninjutsu.

The Lightning Country has been peaceful until the fire country's attack in year 101. With the aide of Shimagakure ninja, the lightning country was able to push back the fire's attacks and stay peaceful. The assassination of Shiyue caused the war to stop, returning the country to their peaceful times.
