For the first time in a long while, it finally sunny. The strangulating cloak of winter had finally melted away and the only thing left of it was the occasional fog or stray rain fall. It hadn't been that long since Isi's poisoning, in fact, it was only a week and already Eiry was dying to tell someone, somebody about the terrible thing that had occurred. It was a weight that was heavy on his shoulders. He really wanted to tell someone, talk about it, especially Aphismet, but he wouldn't dare do that. He couldn't betray his brother, even though, in a way, he betrayed him by harming Isi. So Eiry kept his mouth shut and wandered out and away from the house when Isi was resting.
This time, he wandered far far away from the Delaran home, but he didn't go out alone.
Thanks to the number card left by the phone, Eiry was able to pick up the phone (after much internal debate) and dial We'rika and Sevilin's telephone number. Thankfully, the other man wasn't around when Eiry called and Sevilin picked up the phone. It was there that they decided to meet at the park somewhere in between Barton and Durem.
Lounging against one of the trees that turned more green as he floated by it, Eiry waited for Sevilin to appear.

Sevilin was overjoyed to hear from Eiry. Technically he wasn't suppose to pick up the phone while We`rika was gone, but he was frankly getting bored of television and it was nice to talk to another soul even if they were looking more for We`rika's money.
So how was he going to leave? He didn't have a key so he couldn't leave through the front door. Buuuut the window... that would work great! Clapping his hands together, the little Frei unlocked the the large window, but before he heard the soft yip behind him. "Sprinkles!" Should he take his puppy with him? Well, he really couldn't leave it alone it would chew everything up. Picking the German Shepherd up with a dramatic oomph!, he floated out into the breezy morning with a tight hold on Sprinkles and his leash. He closed the window behind him with a click and wandered down to the street.
This was the first time he ever went anywhere without We`rika. It was kind of liberating in a way. And... kind of scary. Especially cause... he didn't know where this park was. He could always ask someone!
---
"Hey, Eiry!" Sevilin saw the other Raevan by a lone tree and floated over, smiling from ear to ear. "Sorry it took me so long to get here! I had to ask a lotta people where this was... People are sooo weird, they kept asking if I wanted to go on a drive with them. Uhh no I need to get to the park haha! Oh, and this is Sprinkles!" The puppy barked at the sound of his name, licking the hair by Eiry to get to know his scent. "You can hold him if you want!"

Upon seeing a fellow half-formed being float over towards him, Eiry felt a warm feeling well up in his chest. He wasn't alone anymore! He had been floating there for a while now, gathering and collecting stares from the children on the playground who would stop on top of the slide to peer at him or in the jungle gym to peer at him through the bars. For a moment, Eiry was feeling kind of awkward, especially without Isi there to glare back at staring eyes, but he felt a little more relaxed now that Sevvie was there. He was really hoping for him to appear and when he did, Eiry was overjoyed.
Floating towards him, Eiry grinned an ear to ear smile and he threw his arms to either side to greet him. "People are weird. You should've seen how many were watching me while I was waiting for you. Oh, hello, Sprinkles!" Eiry leaned down to peer close to the dog in Sevvies arms and he turned his red eyes up at Sevvie, "If I had known you were bringing Sprinkles, I would've brought Shalbriri, my lamb, that I would've, heart-true!" Then Eiry held out his arms for the dog, eager to hold the puppy.

"You have a lamb?! Whaaaat?! I want a lamb! How big is it? Is it bigger than sprinkles?" Sevilin let the wriggling puppy leave his arms and all but jump into Eiry's, cleaning the green Raevan's face clean with his little pink tongue.
"Ugh, I know!! I hate when people stare... " He turned his head to see the little kids gape and gawk, parents taking their kids to another spot in the park so they will be safer. Sevilin flattened his cherry red lips and shrugged. "Usually We`rika gets more stares than I do actually haha!" The sea fairy's smile brightened with his smile and he patted Sprinkles' head. "So does uhmm... uhmm Isi? always let you come outside on your own? We`rika would freeaaak out if he ever found out I snuck out her without him..."

"Yeah!" beamed Eiry, absorbing the girlish hype that Sevvie expelled when he mentioned his own having a pet too. Eiry was about to open his mouth and explain more about Shalbriri to his watery-based friend when he caught Sprinkles full on in his face and had to work to pry him off, like a snail, before he could talk again, "Shalbriri is bigger than Sprinkles, about twice or maybe three times his size."
Catching what Sevvie said, the minty frei glanced past Sprinkles face and peered over with the other frei as the kids were herded to the other side of the park. Now that there was two of them, the humans were probably wondering, who knows what kind of mischief they could get into! "Yes, Isi is his name. I don't think he knows I'm here though. A lot of things have been happening at home..." Eiry hung his head a bit. The weight of what had happened between his brother and his guardian was crushing his usually peppy personality, "Isi's ill."

"... Really? ... I wanna lamb..." Sevilin was going to have to discuss some things with his guardian when he came home tonight. He pinched Sprinkles' ear to stop him from chewing on Eiry's hair. The little puppy yipped and looked back at its owner, his big brown eyes holding mutiny as he went back to pull on Eiry's hair.
"Ah! What's wrong with Isi? Does he have a cold?" The little Frei's lips turned into a curt frown.

"My lamb came from a graveyard and he's not very nice sometimes, but he's nice to have around! And he's very soft to hug and touch," Eiry described happily. He was very proud of his lamb, demonic as it may be. It kind of went well with him since they both encouraged each other's mischief and Eiry didn't so much as mind Shalbriri's meanness as long as he was able to cuddle and drag Shalbriri around like a stuffed animal.
The minty frei began to laugh louder, his creepy maniacal laugh that just kind of came with what he was, the kind of childish laughter that would echo in a haunted desecrated house, as Sprinkles chewed on his hair. This proved difficult, for Eiry was, at the same time, feeling sad and worried for his owner, but there was this thing trying to lick and bathe his entire face. So he tried to continue to the best of his ability, "I don't know," he said, trying to feign the best confusion that he could, "...but he's very ill. He throws up and retches in the mornings and at night. All the time, he shivers, he does and his face is pale, like mine. He sweats sometimes, and he sleeps often."

"Oh that's awful! I wonder what's wrong with him?" Sevilin pulle don his long ponytail in thought. He didn't know much about illness. We`rika never got sick, no colds or fevers or sinus congestion.
"HEY!" Sevilin grabbed Eiry by the shoulders, struck with a brilliant idea. "We`rika is a shaman, you know?! Maybe he can help! He's never sick so I bet he knows how to heal illnesses and stuff right?!"
Sprinkles, feeding off hisowners sudden excitement, yipped and wriggled in the green Frei's hold, and licked and nipped at Eiry's soft face.

Eiry shifted his eyes awkwardly to both sides, as if he were watching something fluttering over Sevvie's head. Shrugging his shoulders, the minty frei answered, "I don't know what's wrong with him..." but moments after he let these words slip from his mouth he was grasped by his shoulders.
...We'rika?
"No!" Eiry bursted out, with a little more force than he intended, "Not We'rika! He can't help. He doesn't like me and he definitely doesn't like Isi." Attempting to keep the dog Sprinkles clutched tight in his hands, Eiry hugged it closer and attempted to lean his head away from the pink licking tongue.

"Whaat?" Sevilin laughed disbelieving. He pushed and pulled at Eiry's shoulder's gently, making him wiggle back and forth in his arms. "Why would he--?" Ohhhh.
It all started to come back. He remembered the first time he met Eiry and Isi and how ehm Eiry slapped We`rika right on his arrogant little face. And Isi defending his ward. They had dug their own graves that day.
"Oh yeah...." Sevilin wrinkled his nose and patted his friend on the back, still smiling and trying to reassure him. "Well, I'm pretty good at making We`rika do whatever I want, so I bet I can get him to help... C'mon, let's go play!" The frei tugged on Eiry, pulling him to the playground.

The young frei furrowed his brows at her, not quite sure what to make of his friend's promises. There was no doubt in the Eiry's mind that he would never think of We'rika differently and he was sure that whatever We'rika could do, it wouldn't help his precious guardian at all. However, when the chance arose to dodge the question, Eiry was more than happy to switch topics. Play? Alright! Eiry loved to play.
Hugging the dog tight to his grey chest, the frei followed Sevilin onto the playground. He hardly noticed the other kids slink away from the playground as they came near, but he didn't really care.
"Hey, Sevvie, what do you suppose those things are?" Eiry asked, gesturing towards the swings.

"What thi--? Oh..." They were very mysterious weren't they? Sevilin took Eiry's hand in his and floated closer. "Weird, they're just hanging..." The sea fairy's scalloped ears wiggled warily, his big blue eyes narrowing in suspicion as he drew closer to the hangy thingy and poked one of the chains. It buckled and waggled back, taking the little platform with it. "Oooo...." The frei cooed in amusement, completely enthralled with the thing.
He looked back at Eiry and smiled encouragingly before turning his head back to the contraption. "Hey, how do you u-- Well, where is everyone?! Hey!" Sevilin shouted at the kids scampering away with their parents. "......." He took hold of both chains and pushed it, watching it roll back and forth until it finally slowed down and looked back at the minty Raevan and Sprinkles.

"Perhaps you're supposed to throw them?" Eiry voiced rather thoughtfully, following along with the watery raevan without complaint. He watched his companion poke and prod the things, watch them shudder and move away from their touch. Well...They moved. So...If they moved, then perhaps they were meant to be thrown? But Eiry wasn't sure. He knew that his tree house back at home had something similar to this. It was a single rope, though, with a plank of wood at the bottom. Problem was, he never saw Isi use it before, so he had no idea as to it's purpose.
Eiry watched as the other children ran away while Sevvie beckoned after them. Within moments the park was deserted and Eiry didn't look the least bit phased. He simply shrugged his shoulders, rubbed his face into the top of Sprinkles' head and turned his curious gaze back at the swing. So far, they had come down to the conclusion that it...
...moved.
Eiry, taking a random guess, took a moment to pry Sprinkles off of his chest and then he gently sat the dog down on the swing and held him steady on it.

"Th... throw 'em?" Completely intrigued now, Sevilin floated back over to his new companion. The little frei rested his chin on Eiry's shoulder, more than happy and curious to watch his experimentation with his dog.
Sprinkles yapped softly as he was pulled away from Eiry's comforting hold. His stubby feet gripped precariously on the soft red rubber, wet tongue lapped and laved at the ghost raevan's hands that held onto the chains. As the swing moved, Sprinkles began to whine as he fought for balance. He didn't stay on long after that first test. He quickly leaped off the seat, his kick pushing the swing higher and almost hitting Eiry in the face.
Interesting. ".................. You get on and I'll push..."
