Hope I spelled Patriartichal right... smile
So I was wondering, if in your Blessing it does not mention you having a spouse and kids, does that mean you will not be married? I was allowed to read my parents' and both mentioned a wife/husband and kids in the future...I know there are many ways to interpret your Blessing, but what if it does not mention your future with a spouse at all? Sorry, I've just been pondering this lately and being slightly discouraged. confused

Just because it is not mentioned in your Patriarchal Blessing, does not mean that you won't have a husband and kids. It's kinda like say that if it doesn't mention you having a job that you won't have one. Your Patriarchal Blessing is given to you from your Heavenly Father through your Patriarch on what you need to know most concerning the rest of your life. It is not a fortune or prediction about the future. It tells you of the blessings you will receive as long as you endure to the end. By coming to earth, you were given agency. You can choose whether you want a husband and kids just as well as if you chose not to have a husband and kids. Your Patriarchal Blessing doesn't stop you from making those choices.

Thanks Elder, you put that perfectly. I tried earlier to come up with the answer but just couldn't find the right words for it.
Yes, Elder Simetra is right. If something isn't mentioned in your blessing, but you'd still like to have it and it's a righteous desire, then by all means go for it!

You got your Patriarchal Blessing? Awesome!
When I went to get mine, the Patriarch specificlly told be before-hand that it will not talk about a spouse or children, but mine did, but only because I had been really needing to know if it was in my future. He said that it isn't usually in blessings because most people really just don't need to know. It most likely wasn't in there because you have no doubt that your Mr. Right is out there. That's my ten cents so... yep. I'm glad you got your blessing! Read it often!! 3nodding
