I see problems with some of the close combat items you suggest.

I'm NOT trying to bash you but this guild needs both constructive and destructive critisem

1) the Chainsaw, my favoret but other that noise more disadvantages are 1. gas, where are you going to get it? Are you willing to risk going to a gas station that might be alredy run dry? 2. Blades, yes Chainsaw "blades" do break, when I say blades I mean that chain that wraps around that makes the saw cut so good, or ware down wich makes the tool blunt and unusable
but the noise factor might not be a bad thing... With the proper fortifications and people power, Ohh... say six snipers and 20 rifle men, a chainsaw is a very effective hunting tool

2) The Baseball bat and Crowbar, the bludgeners I would NOT recemend these for promotion. 1. The amout of strenght needed inorder to use one of these is not an initial problem, long term fighting with this is, but people like Jewl and Pheobe might not be able to use these for more that 3-5 Z's , Sorry Jewl not discriminating just useing an example because there are a lot of scrawny boys out there too.

Finnaly the katana a great weapon but I don't think real katana's are sold here in the US. on another note if you don't know how to use one of these beauties you might pull an "OH s**t!" and snap it in the middle of cuting a
Zed in two.

Thanks Shark Bait you've given a great list of close range combat weapons but be very wise on what you grab for your kits

I like these choices better

Explosives: I got no problems with your analises but MY only problem is the ingreadence list to make them it IS a SERIOUS ToS violation so If you please delete that it would be appreceated.

Steam Rollers: MY FAVORET!!! you did a good job on this one too but you can make this machean go faster you take off the back rollers (its purpose is to evenly flaten out a surface but we just want to crush z's) and put on super duty tires. The total weight it takes off would be about 300-350 lbs.

Cannons!: Superb F.O.R.T defencive divices not ideal for field attacks

and lastly
Tanks: steal them when you can

if it where up to me I'd take a hum-vee, modern vee's are made to with stand gun fire so driving into a mass of zombies might be fun, plus if you get a little boged down you can always use the 50mm bute hooked atop her!

I have not much of an idea but maybe something home-made might be better....a sharpened char leg would do wonders if they got too close
