http://www.stockingshock.co.uk/catalogue.htmlIt's a UK based site and company that I've fallen in love with. However, I've yet to order anything. I felt that I'd run the site by the more experienced members first, so I can get some opinions on my favourite items. The quality looks sucky on some of the items which is making me a little hesatant but, from the customer gallery photos, they look alright. I'd still like some opinions on The Aizome dressThe Angelique blouseThe School JacketOh, and, do you think that this petticoat will hold a skirt in the right position

All of the above look like they'd work out okay, actually. I'm not too keen on the waist ties or style of the shoulder straps on the dress, but overall it seems like it's a workable piece. I'm also not sure about using that particular under skirt for a dress that heavy. It has a lot of weight and layers, so it might work out, but if you're going to be wearing this in warm weather, I'd recommend a different type of petticoat, since those layers are going to get hot.

*laughs* Don't worry, i'm not going to wear that petti under that dress, They're just a selection of items that i like, I'm not going to wear them all together! I wasn't really planning an wearing a very poofy petti with the dress anyway, since it already has flare, i just wanted to know it the petti, on it's own looked okay!
(though, actualy, England can get pretty cold. I may need to invest in some bloomers!)

Bloomers are a good investment, or a good thing to make since they're easy to do even for beginners. I've a flannel pair I've been wearing all winter and since they're a heavy cotton flannel, they help add some extra poof under the petticoat so my skirts stay full.
In any case ... If you mean as a skirt, I wouldn't get that petticoat because of the way the waist is built. It's meant to be hidden from view and is probably fairly sheer. Under a skirt or dress, though, it should work fairly well so long as the garment isn't too heavy.

It's good to hear that it'll do as an underskirt! I was also going to buy a skirt from them but I don't know which one. sad The hottest contender for it is this: Double Lace Skirt

On that one, I'm actually going to vote no. First of all, the proportions used to lay out the lace on the skirt look rather haphazard. They're not evenly spaced and they look like they were just put there by chance. Also, it's a fairly plain skirt, but it costs 30 pounds and doesn't really have the best materials used. The lace in particular bothers me. You could probably have the same skirt made up for less or about the same from another shop [like In the Starlight] with better lace than that, I think. Unfortunately, you'd lose the lovely fabric they chose in the process.
If it's possible to request cluny [like the first row at the top] or venice lace in place of the raschel [the second row, near the bottom of the skirt], and an adjustment on its placement, it would be very cute. But yeah, those problems I listed really just kind of kill it, for me.
