A tiny tuft of platinum blond gave a little twitter in a gentle wind, trailing opposite the force of gravity for most of its span of growth, but not standing firm enough to resist the given force. Beneath the scattered tufts, the pale fur of a genteel face covered the finely-formed bone, beneath. A canine, this one was, but with little proof besides appearance... after all, most dogs were bold and outwardly friendly, correct? Not... so much with this one.

Though auburn eyes burned beneath the boy's gentle brows, they shone soft and kind, if only to despite such a brash color. His features tended to be passive; he was, indeed, the shy side of Aries, and it showed in his every gesture--his every movement and mannerism. He was the sheep--quiet, shy, and wistful almost constantly.

So why was he situated in the midst of a sand-strewn playground? Well, we'll get to that in a minute. After all, first things first.

Quentin... was the thoughtful sort--he always seemed to say so much more in his mind than ever aloud. That, and he was embarrassed to say much of anything, let alone if it was spiteful or in any way contrary. He didn't tend to make a lot of friends, and it was... well, a little less than obvious just why.

After all, when one doesn't talk, one shouldn't expect much attention, correct?

Well, that's not always a true statement.

In fact, in the Wayward Pound, he had found himself quite overwhelmed with attention, and escaped to the outside to seek some kind of rest from the hustle and bustle around him.

So why was he here? Because claustrophobia is a relentless condition, and he was no exception to that rule. He felt too crowded, and thus, sought escape.

So... why a playground? Well, one could never say that he had really officially grown up. After all, he still had the bright eyes and honesty of a child--so his youth seemed to retain itself... Well, maybe that, and he liked to watch the children having fun.

It was getting better for him as the day went... and in his serene place, he felt most at home. Better than that cluttered building, anyway.

A brown feline giggled as he ran through the playground on all fours. Though he was more human than animal he was still capable of a decent speed on all four paws.
His hair rippled elegantly behind him as he ran, until he halted to a stop mere inches before crashing into the only other one at the park. Much more speed and he would have crashed right into him.
"S-sorry." He mumbled, standing up, brushing off his paws. He was small for his age, though what he lacked in size he made up for in enthusiasm and insane thoughts.

Though certainly not as reflexive as a cat, the pink-clad dog seemed to be quite startled when the other Wayward nearly rammed him over, freezing and ceasing to move for at least a moment or so before he realized that the other had stopped.

He had quite nearly begun to cower, but it was easy to tell that, for a change, he hadn't been quite as afraid as simply startled.

So, in looking up and hearing the other's words, his flopped-over ears perked, and he looked right up at the feline standing before him. Sorry? Had he just stuttered? Well... that was cute...

He blushed at the thought, turning his dark eyes away from the other before he could note the uncertainty surely shimmering within. "Oh... um... no, it's... it's alright," he assured, his quiet voice mumbled at a barely-audible volume. "You... eh..." he paused, looking back at him. "You probably would've been sorrier if you'd hit me."

Risia giggled a bit, closing his deep blue eyes for a moment. "I doubt it. You're pretty cute." He smiled, re-opening his eyes to look at the male that stood before him.
The feline blinked a moment, having forgotten all his manners. "I am sorry about that though, my name is Risia, nice to meet you." He smiled, offering his hand for Quentin to shake.

There was one other in the playground, but he chose not to comment. Let them flirt with each other. He was only interested in reading his book... albiet the information being presented to him outside of the pages was interesting. If he payed enough attention, he might be able to use little tidbits of thier conversation against them later; if they ever crossed him.

And he was convinced that they would. After all, the world was a dangerous place, and the only defence was vigilance.

A light blush seemed to pervade his face at the other's comment, his eyes still avoiding the deep blue of the other's, and his pose shrinking just a little, despite him.

His tail began a tentative little waggle, hands linking and fingers intertwining nervously, until he noticed that the other had extended a hand.

"Ri...sia?" he repeated, meekly extending his own hand to be shaken, though his palms were just a little clammy, and he was terribly subconscious about it. "Umm... my name is Quentin," he muttered, barely audible for any ears besides the feline's.

But his interest soon seemed to flit away, as the corner of his eye caught another presence. "H-huh? Who's that?" he mused aloud, tilting his head in curiosity.

Risia shook Quentin's hand, tilting his head to the side once he noticed the other being. "I dunno... Lets go find out" He said, smiling as he pounced off, on all fours again towards the new male that had appeared. The feline was both intrigued and amused.
Though he was warned not to bug strangers many times by his father, it was still fun to meet new people.
"Hi there~" Risia smiled, tilting his head a bit as he stood up straight to get a good look at the third male.

"Huh?" the canine asked of no one in particular, tilting his own head toward the other's suggestion.

Did they have to? Quentin wasn't all that excited about meeting other people, really--that's actually what he'd gotten away from the building in order to AVOID...

But alas... Risia, he'd called himself, had already charged off with every intent to initiate some kind of conversation... Why? Couldn't they just have waited for the other male to approach them?

Oh, well... he followed, anyway. What harm could it bring?

They're approaching me... he thought to himself, none too pleased by the prospect. He smirked to himself at the look on the dog's face though. It looks like I'm not the only unenthusiastic one. He thought, the smirk evaporating once he was spoken to.

"Hello...." He said, tentatively, not quite sure if he was willing to say more. Let them make the first move. Always remain on the defensive... that was how he worked. He had to admire the other's courage though. He did try his best to look intimidating.

"I'm assuming you want to talk to me?"

Quietly, the canine seemed to travel behind his new feline companion, though he still stayed quiet and passive. He didn't really like the look on the other half-hued feline's face, and it was making him nervous to be there.

IwannagoIwannagoIwannago...

Buck up, another part of him said. Never could they agree, those arguing sides of him... Still, at least neither of them were telling him to try to speak. He was still safe, for now.

Risia smiled, batting at a bit of hair that had fallen in his face as he stood. "Well, you're here, and so is Quentin. Why don't we talk?" The feline was in a hyper mood already, though he was doing his best to stay and not run off to tear up the playground. His hair would be enough for now as it looked so shiny in the sunlight, Risia just had to play with it.
"Or we can go play on the jungle gym~" Perhaps the smartest thing he could have said to get rid of his extra energy. Though he wasn't sure why he said it.

Alexiel looked at the other feline with distaste, but out of sheer morbid curiosity replied "The jungle gym sounds fine... though I'm a little concerned about your health.. you act like a child on crack after 10 cups of coffee....." He seemed to trail off, clearly not aware that he'd said the last part of that sentence aloud.

He helped himself off the ground and dusted himself off, with a steely look at the two." Shall we go now? Before i decide that the risk of hurting myself is too great?"

For a moment, the dual-toned feline had quite scared him--and Quentin was beginning to decide very quickly that he really didn't like him all that much...

But he was far too shy to admit it, curse him.

"Umm... I think I might just watch... I don't much like heights..." he piped up quietly, bowing his head as the blush began to show.

For one split second, the cat's 'mask' seemed to slip, and he looked as though he might try to comfort the nervous dog - but alas, his image as the untouchable tough overrode this.

"Of course you are. Dogs aren't meant for climbing." He replied, trying his very hardest to regain face, regardless of whether or not anyone saw the slip. It is important that I remain invulnerable, he thought to himself, I don't know these people, and the hyper one scares me.

Quietly shuffling while he stood amidst the two cats, the canine one nodded a little, somewhat defeated by the dual-hued one's logic. After all, it was a fact that dogs were by no means as good at climbing as cats... and that was a fact he was perfectly resolved with.

"Um... no... I guess not," he agreed lowly.
