Kisirani had spent a long night doing what she loved to do. It was a bit tricky at times, but hey, if someone was looking for it, she would offer it. The world worked in a simple tune to her, and she could get just about anyone to give her what she wanted if she used her charms.
The morning was a damn ome, dew clinging to the grasses where she lay. She had had to sneak away very early in the morning, when it was still dark, to make sure that she wouldn't be found by anyone else. The only drawback in this was that she didn't know which direction she was going when the moon was dim, and not was faced with the realization that she didn't know where she was.
Well, at least she didn't have any plans for the day. She just hoped that she wouldn't turn back to where she was the night before. Best not be recognized in that pride.

The morning were one of his favorite times of day. Today was an especially beautiful one, bright and full of promise - he could just TELL today was going to be a great day.
Kijuvo pranced through the dew-dampened grass and ignored the way the water turned his bright legs a darker shade of purple. The chill in the air served to keep him alert and his eyes were bright as he searched the plains for a prospective breakfast.
The sun sparkled through the grass and turned the savanah into a field of diamonds, and Kijuvo couldn't keep his eyes away. So beautiful! It was too bad there was no one to share this with...
Even as the thought passed through his mind, he spotted the dark red lioness. A wide grin spread across his face and he trotted towards her.
"Lovely morning, isn't it?"

"Mmm?" Kisirani didn't notice the other lion until he had approached her. She peered over her shoulder, still laying down on the wet ground. It was a bit too cool, but she didn't feel the need to get up quite yet. Besides, she didn't have anywhere to go this morning, so she would just deal with it later when she had to get up before the sun got too warm.
"It's pleseant, yes, if a bit damp for my tastes," she said with a chuckle. "But the sun makes the grass shine like the stars in the night sky, does it not?" She did always love the night, for many different reasons.
"Passing through?" she asked with a flick of her tail, letting her blue eyes look back up at the other lion once again. Not that she cared that much, but she wasn't against making light conversation for a time. It could always turn to be a bit of fun, too.

"Doesn't it, though? It looks so beautiful!" Kijuvo grinned with childish abandon and gazed around him at the valley of stars. "It's almost as beautiful as a clear night is!"
Though in his honest opinion, nothing would ever be as beautiful as the moon and stars over a still night ocean. The way the waves were gilt in silver, and the sands were turned to a sea of pearls and diamond...
"Oh, yeah, just wandering." He gave a shrug and plopped down next to the female. "You? I'm Kijuvo, by the way!"

Kisirani's ear flicked, a bit surprised that he agreed so openly. Not that it was bad to enjoy the night, but it was normal for others she met to love the day time. Light was comforting to most, though Kisirani would prefer the dark.
Plus, he was a very...happy, excited male, it seemed like.
She shifted a bit once she flopped down next to her. Well, she certainly had company now!
"Wandering is good, it keeps you fit and strong, in body and in heart." It was what she said whenever anyone asked why she never stayed in one spot. "I am Kisirani. It's a pleasure, Kijuvo."

Kiju laughed, a bright, happy sound. "Yeah, fit... but it can make you pretty skinny if you can't hunt well." He eyed his own rather skinny form and gave a wry smile. "Or if you just choose to wander in the wrong places..."
He saw her shift and a faint flush crept into his cheeks, though he hoped she didn't notice since it was under his fur. He, however, could feel the heat in his face. "Ah, sorry, I hope you don't mind if I join you?"
Kijuvo hadn't really though about someone NOT wanting company. Everyone he'd known liked other lions! Kiju wouldn't mind traveling with a non lion either.
"I can go, if you want?" He offered, ears pinned back. "I don't mean to intrude!"

Kisirani's tail curled up around her side, a small smile appearing on her face. "No, no. It is alright. Do not worry, I am fine." She really was, it was just a bit of habit for her when she did not invite the other party to be so close to her. She would soon relax and feel much better.
"Hunting? Anyone can hunt," she said with a laugh. "It just matters how large your prey is. It looks like you haven't been doing to well, hm?" She couldn't help but poke. The lioness hunted well, but normally she just let her 'friends' give her what was left of their catches. She didn't need much, she did want to keep her figure after all!

"Okay!"
If she said so, it must be true! Kijuvo relaxed, content to sit and enjoy the view. The sun was still rising, filling the land with golden rays. The sky looked clear and promised a good day, if hot.
"I just seem to choose the bad places to hunt." He gave Kisirani a self-depreciating grin and twitched his tail. "Rabbits can be hard to catch, and aren't really worth much in the end!"
But he was on the move, and surely he'd find a pride to join or at least a few larger preybeasts to give him a little strength back!

Kisirani yawned, giving her forelimbs a gooood stretch. Nothing felt as good as a relaxing morning, lingering like you had all the time in the world. She didn't do it often, but when she did, it felt like heaven.
"No, I'm sure that rabbits aren't the best things to eat off of. Bad luck, hm?" she asked, curious. She shifted a bit more in his direction this time, peering up at him with her blue eyes. "Are you always alone, then?" A pity if so. He was a bit too bubbly for her tastes, but that didn't mean that he still wasn't nice.
Nice boys sometimes had deep secrets, and Kisirani loved digging those out.

"Yeah, I suppose it's a combination of bad luck and passable skills at hunting." He replied casually. Her closeness really didn't bother him, and he smiled into her blue eyes. "Not always! I'm not alone right now, hmm?"
And hopefully he wouldn't be alone forever. "My mother left when I was a cub, and I'm hoping for answers, if I ever find her." Or if she wanted to be found...
He tossed his head, throwing loose strands of mane out of his eyes, and arched his eyebrows at his companion. She looked pretty well-fed, not too fat but certainly not skeletal. "How about you? Alone a lot?"
He doubted it! A pretty girl like her would be sure to be welcomed wherever she went.

"Oh, really?" she said, pretending like she cared. She didn't really, but it would make everything much more pleseant if she just took the time to act like she cared. It was the little things that made everything wonderful, wasn't it? A slow, small grin grew on her face with that thought. Oooh, yes.
"Alone is part of it," she said as if it was no matter. "My days are usually full of solitude. My nights are usually the opposite." She didn't know if he'd actually get it. If he didn't, well, then he was a cute innocent boy. SHe wouldn't tell him, didn't want to break any thoughts he had about her. It was fun to sort of tease a bit, but act like you didn't really mean it that way, really!
"It's a nice balance. It can be troublesome at times, but somehow luck seems to be on my side." She started to laugh a bit. "Hey, maybe I'm the one who took all of your luck!"

"Yep! But I'm sure my story isn't an original one." In fact, he himself had met others in his traveling who'd suffered far more than a missing parent. At least his mother was still alive (as far as he knew, anyways)!
"Sometimes it's nice to be alone, but sometimes... " His thoughts strayed to his siblings and abandoned pride. "Sometimes it's awful." He brightened then, head canted to the side in curiosity. "You have a family nearby, then?" Kijuvo asked, curious. Often he missed the warmth of his siblings and mother gathered close when the night was long and cold.
The purple and brown male laughed at her comment. "Maybe so!" He replied, grinning. "Or maybe I just haven't found mine yet."

The dark red lioness shook her head. "No, no family." She liked it that way, though. "I think of it as having freedom to do what I want." And she certainly did a lot of things that her mother would of been horrified of. That was alright, though. They would never know, and it would be better that way. It wasn't like she was looking for her family like he was.
"You haven't found it? Well, I'm sure you'll find something. Maybe you're looking too hard. I've always been told that you'll find what you most desire when you aren't looking for it. I'm sure it's true of something like that." She offered a nod, confirming that indeed it was something that she believed in.

"Huh. Maybe I am." He'd never really thought about looking too HARD for something. It was either look, or don't. No degrees! And for that matter, he'd never really been actively looking for luck - more, hoping that it would appear on the side of the road and help him out for a little bit.
"I... don't know if I'm ready to stop looking for what I want yet." Kiju replied haltingly. "Maybe someday I can follow that philosophy, but for now..."
Now it was just something too hard for him to do. He HAD to look. What else would he do with his life? What other purpose did he have? None that he knew of, and a large part of him was sad because of that.

Hmmm. He didn't take that like she had meant. Oh well. No use worrying over it. Hopefully he wouldn't worry himself so much he'd lose some of his coat! That'd be a shame, since he wasn't that bad looking. A little bright for her tastes, but you never knew what he might come across on this little journey of his.
"Well, I guess the most I can do for you is wish you well on what you look for, then. Perhaps it'll be right where you least expect it?" A bit more advice, and he could take it for what he wanted. She'd never had to search before, so she had no idea just how big of a task it was to find one lion in the large savannah. Though, if she actually took the time to look at her advice, she could use it in herself. She knew that there was something in her future, with how her life was going now, but she didn't know what it could be, or even guess it. Life was always full of surprises.
