Hello, if you do not know who I am I am going to tell you. I am Alies and I have been in many many plays. But to get on with this thread
I am decitacting this thread to my favourite actress Bernadette Petters. In this thread I would like to talk about theater, but also talk about the shows she has been in and the one you like best. When my uncle was alive he would sneek into the Tony awards and the after parties, he told me that he actually got to dance with her! He said she was an amazing person and she is my hero!!

She's my hero too!
I love her in everything she's in, Cinderella and Annie Get Your Gun are my favorites though. I'm glad to see somebody else around here admires her as much as I do.

I can''t tell you how relieved I am that this thread isn''t about Barbara Streisand.
Anyway. Bernadette Peters. Wow. Where do we start? This woman runs the freaking gambit. You cannot typecast her. She can play a b***h and a sweetie (b***h is so much easier to play, though, isn''t it?) and she kicks absolute heiney at both!
And her hair is absolutely gorgeous. Me wanty.

Oh Burnadette! I love Burnadette! Greatest lady to ever grace the stage! She is the Queen of all Broadway.
My high school's orchestra takes an annual trip to the twin cities to see the St. Paul Symphony play. My sophomore year we were gonna see them and Burnadette was slated to sing with them! My friend Swanee and I were so excited to see Burnadette! But then they went and cancelled on us! They cancelled the show we were going to see! So no Burnadette for us crying Swanee and I were angry.

Its good to see that people actually know who she is. She is in my favourite shows ever made...Into the Woods and Robin Hood Men in Tights. I had no idea that she was the same person. I wish I had her voice. *Drools*

Amazing as she is, she's not, in my opinion, the greatest actress (or singer) in the world. People can have their opinions, but I personally think she's a bit irritating. sweatdrop

Joss Whedon (writer of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly) was once asked what his wierdest fan experience and he listed a grown man, inteligent and witty, turning to putty. That would be him while talking to Bernadette Peters, twice.
I've never seen her live but she was AMAZING in "Hey Mr. Producer".

I've loved Bernadette ever since I first heard her in "Anastasia". She is so ridiculously talented! Gawd, how I envy her... stressed
And she wasn't in "Men in Tights". Amy Yasbeck played Maid Marian. Their hair is really the only thing they have much in common...

I find that many people come off as ignorant when it comes to her. Like, they never really saw her in anything and just watched Meet the Falkers, South Park, and her special guest apperance on SNL. Like, they never saw her in awesome movies like, What's Up Doc and the Owl and the Pussycat. Also I have a slight bias because of my relation to her.
