User Image The leaves of the trees surrounding the glade were green and glistened in the bright sun that shone through the canopy above. Flat, broad, shiny leaves of a beautiful vibrant hues and shades. Large colorful flowers with equally vibrant multi-colored butterflies fluttering around them. The light buzzing of bees, a little harder to see among the bright wings and petals but there nonetheless.

It was a soft, moss covered glade dotted with tiny pale flowers through which a light breeze stirred. The sun was warm, soothing, bright & golden as its beams filtered down.

In that glade, a lone figure danced. Posture upright. Veils twirling. Arms and legs spinning, tapping -the fur having a slight pink hue. Long golden-blonde hair swirling, moving so fast he breeze could not pull even a strand away from the motion of the dance. Fluid. Practiced. Alive.

Beautiful... and yet sad at the same time. It was hard to say in what way the graceful female danced in that it held such a thin veil of sadness to it; like one of her transparent and billowing pale lavender strips that flowed fluidly around her body like an extension of her being. The anthro minya showed not a tear, her stage smile did not waver -but perhaps there was a missing sparkle in her blue eyes that kept them from matching the smile of her lips. Who was to say, but it was there. Small, barely detectable, and professionally hidden -but still there like a whisper of rain on a breath of wind.

User Image The sun shone bright in the sky above, golden rays filtering through holes in the canopy of green leaves. A sneeze sounded in a bush off to the side of a path running through the forest. The Minya wrinkled his nose when the butterfly fluttered around and landed once again on his nose. The tickling of the light touch made him sneeze again. The butterfly took off again, and he shook his head, discouraging the butterfly from making a third landing.

Sighing, he stood up, knocking off leaves from branches on the bush that he had accidentally fallen asleep under. He glanced around the forest, realizing he really didn't know where he was. Lost again, he thought as he left the bust and started walking down the path way.

It wasn't long before he reached a glade. He paused, remaining in the shadows just before the glade when he saw another Minya. Watching her graceful dancing, he could almost here a soft melody whispered on the gentle breeze blowing past him. Not wanting to interrupt, he took a step back and froze when the snap of a twig echoed through the glade.

As is the twig breaking broke the magic of the unheard song the dancer slowly brought her movement to a halt. Like a music box, winding down. Her motions became slower though still as precise and perfect, however the veils fell quicker from the dance needing the speed of her body's motion to keep the right lift and flow. The smile remained only a minute, like a performer's bow at the end of a show and then it was gone. Blue eyes cast about her, the minya's face becoming an emotionless mask as she looked for the source of the sound that had broken the dream. "Who's there?"

The sound of a prima donna's voice. Someone accustomed to having others answer. She was not afraid, but neither did she seem to care much. As if nothing would change if she knew or not, but that she would not tolerate... well something. That was more difficult to tell by her tone. "You might as well come out."

He hesitated, watching the anthro Minya with curiosity. He had seen other anthros before, but there was something about this Minya's movements that seemed to captivate him. She was poetry in motion, and it struck a cord with the poet in him.

He stepped out of the shadows and into the glade, blinking his violet eyes at the brightness of the afternoon sun. He bowed his head in greeting to the other Minya. "Good day, miss," he said and grinned at her.

Miss? Well that was different than the gaggles of screaming fans the dancer for Magical Dreamers was accustomed to. Calling her 'miss' did not sound like something one of her fans would do. In fact... it made it seem like he did not know her name at all. Nor did bowing seem like a fan thing, not that way. Bowing? Did he really bow his head to her? Now that was different.

The dancer let herself relax slightly, a look of relief upon her face as she decided this unknown minya was not one of her rabid fans. Not that either she or Nikki had run into any of those as Minya as it were, but as much as she loved performing, loved their fans for being their fans, they could be a little much at times. "Yes. Yes it is. A good day."

Star though she was (at least where she had come from) Miki was not really a social female. Being a star fans flocked to her whether she wanted them to or not. She did not have to remain friendly or even polite. Yet she did not try to be mean. For the most part. It wasn't good business to alienate fans. Miki offered the smallest flicker of a smile. "Who are you and why are you here?"

He watched her for a while and noticed after some time had passed in silence that the Minya seemed to relax. Surely, he hadn't caused her any fright by his sudden appearance. At least, he hoped he hadn't as that was not his intention at all.

"I am Verisimo," he answered, giving as bright a grin as he could manage. He remained where he stood just at the edge of light within the glade. If his presence was unwelcome, he could simply fade back into the shadows and leave her to her own doings. It amazed him that he could vanish so easily into the darkness even with a coat of such a brilliant shade of orange.

"I was simply wandering," he answered her second question. He decided to leave out the part about how he had gotten lost among the forest. And not for the first time. "I apologize for interrupting your dancing, but you looked quite beautiful..." He trailed off, not knowing the other Minya's name.

The startle was not from fright. No. At least not in the way the bright orange male probably thought. Attack by groupies was not something most that were not stars thought about as something to fear.

She gave a nod at getting his name, lifting a hand to slide long bangs away from her eyes with a casual and graceful motion. No ridiculous claims of 'being her number one fan' or anything equally as annoying. Really, how could so many claim to be number one? Miki had never understood it.

The dancer accepted both compliment & apology with almost casual apathy. "If it wasn't you it would've been something else eventually." There was a loose wave of her hand, something sad in the expression behind it as if there was something she held hope of being the interruption but that never was. "Verisimo, huh? I am Miki."

The anthro female offered something of a smile then. She did not have to add 'lead dancer of the Magical Dreamers' to her introduction. Either he knew her or he did not. Oddly, she almost expected not. Yes, she was accustomed to throngs of adoring fans and concerts... but ever since she & Nikki had found themselves in these forms they had not performed to a crowd once. Truthfully... she had not come across another anything like them until Verisimo. And this minya unlike Nikki & herself walked on four legs. Was that normal, or the way the Magical Dreamers were? Blue eyes clouded slightly at the thought. Miki did not know.

"It is a wonderfully unexpected occurrence to make your acquaintance, Miki," Verismo said, lowering the front half his body in a gentlemanly bow. "It is much too rare that I meet such a lovely Minya, and even rarer still that I meet such a graceful dancer whose movements captivate the soul with their poetry."

He felt a warm flush stain his cheeks. In general, he wasn't a very outspoken Minya. He was far too much the observer, watching the world that surrounded him for inspiration.

Though she looked even more confused in light of the quadruped's bow, it appeared that Miki relaxed even further in response to his words. There was a music to them, yes. But more than that... it nearly cemented in her mind that this minya did not know who she was.

Which was both blessing & relief.

Blue eyes fluttered wide at the continued words, much like poetry themselves in their inoffensive complimenting of her. Was he ... blushing? It was not the first time she had seen a male blush upon complimenting or even merely speaking with her but this she knew was different. This was not because he was speaking to Miki, lead dancer of the Magical Dreamers. This was somehow for something else. It was somehow pleasant & curious at the same time. Her smile lost a bit of its forced edge, gaining a bit of warmth & perhaps even softness. "Thank you."

Miki looked at him with her arms crossed before her. "An unexpected occurrence for sure." So far not unpleasant at least. Gracefully as if she was still dancing the anthro took a step nearer. Her bright eyes did not leave the other's blushing face. "You have a way with words, Verismo. Are you a writer?"
