Newbie Guide, Crew, Rules and Advertising [Read FIRST!!!]

Welcome to the Way of the Ninja! Although you are free to wander and chat (but not in village roleplay threads..) it is recommended that you follow these steps:

1) First of all, introduce yourself! Just post in the Chatterbox. ^^ Don't worry, we don't bite!

2) Second, go to the RP Academy. Passing the test there is compulsory so even if you are a seasoned RPer who feels he doesn't need to learn, go there anyway so you can whip up a sample to be passed. Of course, less experienced people will receive pointers there. The Academy sub-forum is here.

3) At the same time, whilst waiting for the Pass or Fail, you should be heading to the Game System Forum to absorb our game system. If there is anything you don't understand, feel free to ask the mods!

4) When you've familiarized yourself with the idea of our system (you don't have to know it perfectly straight away) and have an idea of your character, fill in your character sheet PM a Kage for permission, or post your profile in the Village Applicant Threads in the village {if one exists}. Check to see that the village is open and accepting beforehand though.

5) After being allowed in a village, I cannot control what you do! So this step by step guide ends. Just please follow the rules, which are in the next post [Proto: This doesn't mean to ignore village rules. Different Kages have different regulations.].

Rules:

1) Please follow the Gaiaonline ToS "Terms of Service".
2) No godmodding unless previously agreed upon by both parties.
3) Respect everyone's beliefs and ideas.
4) No flaming the new members, we all were n00bs at one point or another.
5) Respect the mods, they worked hard to maintain this RP environment and create fresh ideas for the roleplay.
6) No Spamming. If you want to spam, go to the General Discussion subforum and make a spam thread, or post in the Chatterbox.
7) Anyone who has had more then 6 months of activity can pass people in the RP Academy.
8 ) Ask the Kage to join before posting in a village. Posting without permission in the RP threads of a village subforum is a BANNABLE offence.
9) Ask the Kages of the villages for permission before making a thread and ask for assistance so the thread description fits the village itself.
10) Keep the OOC low in the RP threads, there are many OOC places to chat or discuss your problems.
11) Absolutely no one liners. The minimum line amount is four sentences per post. Battles are an exception, but please try to keep to the line limit.
12) Never control other people's characters ("powerplay") unless you have them under a Genjutsu. Or the person before going absentee has given you express consent.
13) Always follow the Game System, it was created for a good reason and cost us a lot of hard work.
14) Never leave your village without a reasonable explanation (i.e. mission). We are not responsible if your Kage marks you as a missing-nin.
15) Ninja who leave the village for any reason (except for missions) are considered nuke-nin "missing-nin" and will be hunted down by the Hunter division of the Black ops [ANBU].
16) Never act like you know what is happening in another village. Unless you have some kind of intelligence "Spy" that is role playing there, you know nothing. Or unless the Kage of that village has agreed it is public news, thereby making it possible for civilians [i.e. traveling merchants and such] to spread information.
17) Always be active and try to inform before you leave.
18 ) Do not cheat, as in deleting posts with bad rolls and then rolling until you get a good one. This is a bannable offense.
19) Pre-rolling: Some people choose to roll before posting. If you do that, make sure you edit in your post immediately afterwards. Leaving a blank post halts the RP and is generally considered as inconsiderate and bad RP conduct.

The guild operates on a three-strike system. After three warnings, a banning will follow.

The following Jutsus are completely banned from the guild:

• Chidori
  
• Rasengan
  
• Shi Shi Rendan
  
• Any combo related to Naruto.

All crew (except those that are away obviously) will:

• Answer questions you have on the battle system or RP Academy. Obviously some crew will be better at the battle system and some will be more RP-based.
  
• Delete any unnecessary topics and do admin work in the guild like organisation.
  
• Run their villages if they are the Kages.

If you are waiting on an RP academy grading, PM one of the crew!

Captain

Kenkaru: Kenkaru is our captain and is responsible for coming up with the system. Please don't PM him as he hates questions. He is unbeatable with a Hyuuga...or with anything really. He may seem rather scary since all the threads in this guild are like 'PM him and DIE' but actually he is very funny and cute. 3nodding But he probably won't reply your PMs unless they are intelligent questions and not just things that you can find easily in the various threads.

Vice Captains

Aradiah: Aradiah was the first Vice Captain, one of the first members of the guild, and is also responsible for coming up with plot and other new stuff. She also helped Kenkaru with developing the Battle System. She does mostly behind-the-scenes work and rarely comes but many of the things in the guild are here due to her.

kouri-chan_xx: The second Vice Captain and responsible for all sorts of things. >.> She answers questions on the battle system and RP like all crew should. UNLIKE Kenkaru, if she doesn't do her job, PM HER TO DEATH!!!!! 3nodding [On pause right now.]

ProtoXtreme: The co-Hokage of Konoha and fourth oldest-serving guild member among the current generation of Crew. She became more inclined to work behind the scenes whether that be system maintenance, story plots, or assisting with events. If you PM her, she'll reply to you, but it better be important.

Qyp helps with plot ideas and answering questions smile

Gideon Commando is the leader of Kirigakure and a generally awesome guy.

Rin Kairiu is the leader of Amegakure and is responsible for some parts of the system and plot. Today, Amegakure houses guild festivals.

Nura Tai is the Cokage of Konoha and broke the legendary curse ProtoXtreme faced of never having a stable Assistant Kage. Today she is greatly responsible for the health of Konohagakure.
