User Image The water had remained undisturbed, completely isolated besides for a few fish that swam by. These said fish soon fled and hid as a shadow loomed over them. It was the great water clan leader, Nahuatl. Some even looked to him as a king of the seas. Of course, he wasn't an official king, but he did have dreams of ruling the sea and leading all its creatures into greatness one day. The sea had been calm for a long while, however, so not many really spoke or supported his dream much like that had been previously. Things were too quiet, peaceful... perfect. Nahuatl knew better than to let this slide by, however, and yet, even he was being a bit lazy lately.

"I refuse to end up like the turkey... even if he is happy..." he mumbled to himself, stubbornly. Yes, the stupid griffin had made a family, and along with it, an annoying hybrid thing that clung to Nahuatl like glue. Sieg seemed to lose a bit of his spark for being a God ever since... and honestly it bored Nahuatl like many other things. And yet, it made him jealous and unhappy, which was probably why he felt so depressed lately... Heh, pitiful.

((You know what? I'm going to give all of my kimeras colors for their role play fonts. -determined that randomly just now- xd ))

The sky that hung above the sea seemed pleased that day as it rained its rays of sunlight upon the waves of the sea, polishing them like a gem. Just beneath the waters surface, the ocean's waters were a pale blue; clear and pure. The water played with the sun's rays beneath the surface, distorting them and making them dance playfully. It was this beautiful scene that Maija so blissfully witnessed as she glided through the water. Her blue back matched perfectly with the water, markings of distored sunrays in water printed beautifully across her back. From below, her white belly blended with the light-colored surface. The only part of this lobshark that could truely be seen from beneath the waves was her deep, purple lobster shell.

The warm surface waters made Maija smile with glee, her tail fin pushing her rapidly through the waters. She gazed up at the sky just beyound the water curtain, wondering if it was really as pure of a blue as it seemed. Without thinking, Maija suddenly swam upwards at top speed, her elegant hammer-shaped head breaking through the surface. She giggled as she soared out of the water, hanging in midair for a few seconds. However, the pleasure in her head suddenly fadded. Before she hit the water, something at the back of her mind seemed to recoil, as if some bad memory had truspassed. A puzzled expression spread across Maija's face as she dropped into the sanctuary of the sea once again. She paused, watching as the bubbles raced up to the surface. "That was weird..." she murmered softly to herself.

(( XD Colors make journals and roleplays pretty~

Someone wants to steal our lobshark's nonexsistant babies... =3=

Hrm... *ponders* Maybe if things start heading more towards land we could invite Nue with Arc to join in for fun... If you want to anyway. XD; ))

Nahuatl swam lower and lower, his belly now nearly touching the sand of the ground. He sighed deeply and watched as the bubbles traveled up to the surface which he hated so much. The place where the land creatures lived... if only flooding had taken out all the land already.

As his four eyes watched the bubbles he spotted something or rahter someone. It was hard to see since it blended in so well with the water, but he could of sworn he caught a bit of purple. Most likely some fish was frolicing up on the surface. It was hard to tell since it was so far away and hard to see, but maybe it was something he would consider edible. Being a king figure, he had limited his choices in fish to eat to a certain number, so food was sometimes hard to find. He made more sacrifices for his position than many seemed to realize.

The lobshark shoved off the bottom of the sea floor and cautiously started to make his way towards the surface. Whatever the figure swimming around the water surface was, Nahuatl didn't want it to realize what he was before he had the chance to figure out what exactly the mysterious being could be.

(( Hm, so that wasn't you? xd It would seem so. But then again, who said they want to steal the nonexistant babies, right? I mean, they could just be imagining how awesome these two will look together. 8D
Edit: -rereads poll- Oh, wait a minuet. They do want our lobsharks' unborn children. xd

And that would be very fun! 8D When we get to a plot-road-block we can make these two move closer to shore and invite Nue and Arc in. ^-^ ))

Maija hung about in the warm, sun-light waters, in a slight daze. When she had jumped out of the water... she had felt such a weird feeling. One that she could never remember feeling, yet felt so familiar with it at the same time... Whatever it was, she had this gut feeling that this strange occurence in her mind was not a good one... As the thoughts leaked in, she eventually just shook her flat, elegant head, chasing the thoughts away.

It was then that she could feel bubbles rising up from below, tickling her bare, white belly as they did so. She giggled slightly as they moved across her scales before swimming off to the side, and looking down toward the sandy bottom from which the bubbles had come. She had been expecting just a fish or even some plants released carbon dioxide from their leaves, but instead, she spotted a great lobshark swimming up towards her. She tilted her head in curiousity, squinting her eyes to focus on the approching male. Then she realized that she was familiar with the lobshark. It was her dear friend, Nahuatl. Cheerfully, she smiled and swooped down through the water towards him. "Hello, Nahuatl!" she called out to him happily.

(( Yes, yes. XD

Okies! n3n ))

Nahuatl stopped his trip up to the surface as he heard the sweet voice. Of course, a purple shell whiles the rest of her blended in so well with the oceans water.... Nahuatl should have guessed it was the kind-hearted lobshark. "Maija! Is that you?" He asked her as he swam up a bit closer. His face brightened in happiness. There was no question to it. It was definitely the only lobshark he knew of that lived around these waters.

"It has been a while since I've last seen you like this... I hope you have been doing well," He looked past her to the water's surface. The lobshark held back a frown as he realized she had also been playing between the lines of the water dwellers and the land walkers. Majia liked the surface if he recalled things right. Mentally, Nahuatl sighed. If only she could see the land the way he did.

Maija smiled, overjoyed to be reunited with her dear friend. Her pectoral fins seemed to flail in pleasure as she floated bouantly in front of him. "It's so good to see you," she said, nearly squealing with happiness, "I've been pretty good. A little bit bored lately, though." She frowned slighlty before adding, "You know, things have been pretty quiet. At least in these waters, anyway. How have you been lately?"

"Yes quiet... it's a good thing, but a bit unnerving at the same time," He glanced up at the surface once more, narrowing all for of his eyes at it. He really did have such loathing for it. "Alright. Healthy and alive. Things have been running smoothly in my clan, but we have a shortage of members which is troubling. Besides for the hundreds of minions, however.." He sighed. "It will grow with time, I hope."

Maija blinked slightly at Nahuatl glanced up at the surface of the sea through narrowed eyes. She cocked her head in slight confusion. She had never really understood the full reason as to why he hated the land so much. How bad could it be? Besides, without land, water wouldn't be special.

"A shortage of members?" she asked, slightly shocked. Surely there would be plenty of aquatic kimera that wanted to join his cause, yes? It didn't make a lot of sense to her. "Have you visited any reefs lately? There are ton of different fish and kimera species there." She smiled, trying to find a way to be helpful. "Maybe you could find some more recruits there?"

"Prehaps... Its been a while since I've visited such water habitats... you have good idea, Miss. Maija." He smiled slightly. It felt good to talk to another of his kind. It was a rare sight to see these days. He barely remembered his own parents. "I was wondering if you wanted to join...? I wouldn't ask you to... attack anything you don't want to. It would be nice to have another friend around however."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 26, 2008 2:06 pm

Miss. Maija? The nickname caught her attention for a moment and she giggled silently to herself. Nahuatl always seemed to be so poliet to her. It was very gentleman-like.

Maija was also caught by surprise by his offer to join him. She knew she shouldn't have, since the two of them had been friends for a very long time. But at the same time she wondered why he would ask now? It seemed really abrupt, not random, but without any other hint or warning. Maija studied his expression for a moment as the last of his words came from his mouth. It would be nice to have another friend...? Does that mean that he just wanted... company? Maija tried to imagine his position, the leader of a great water clan, working so hard to do what he thought was right, what he felt was justice. And in the chaotic struggles of keep the clan together, was he left alone of top of it all? Maija seemed to understand his offer more now; the offer of the lonely sea king, just looking for some companionship.

Maija nodded her head vigorously and in a certain tone she announced, "Yes, I shall join your water clan, Nahuatl. It will be my honor." She carried herself tall and proudly, as if a solider being recruited into the army. Then she giggled out loud at herself, finding her behavior a bit childish. At this point she didn't really seem to care. She was happy. "Let's go get more recurits then, your highness!" She bowed a little, playfully, before dashing away toward the reef in a puff of bubbles.

Nahuatl smiled. She except. He had been planning to ask her for so long. Finally, someone of his own kind. His species might of been growing in numbers recently, but he hadn't actually seen any. So having Maija around would be very nice. He chuckled a bit at her words. "Yes. I suppose we shall be departing now...." He laughed more as he dashed after her, trying to catch up and pass her as he did.

(( -plans on using her free, wild minion Naida as role play plottage at some point- >3 ))

Maija cruised through the water as smoothly and gracefully as a eagle soaring through the air. Her elegant hammer-shaped head broke cleanly through the water as her tail propelled her forward with the greatest of ease. Occasionally she would glance over her shoulder, her agua-blue, jewel-like eyes always making sure that companion wasn't far behind. Then she would giggle happily and speed onwards.'

The reef came up faster than she had expected. She had been sure that she was farther from the coast. She shrugged and announced out loud to Nahuatl, "We're here!"
The reef was livid and alive. Delicately branching coral perched itself firmly on the rocks, their frames frail. The coral was every where, stretching all along the shoreline at realitively the same depth; a depth where the life could feed easily off the sun while still laying low towards the bottom of the cozy sea. Life swarmed everywhere amongst the living rock. In the shadow of every knok and cranny, a cluster of tiny reef fish would be bound to be found. The braver fish would climb freely just over the rocks, the waves causing them to sway back and forth while they tried to feed. Then there were the big fish who would swim freely across open water, usually acompanied by various schoolmates. There was always something new to see along the reef, for it was the City of the Sea.

Nahuatl stared in wonder at the coral reef after he quickly reached the side of the female lobshark. This was one of the many beauties of the sea. One of the many things he swore to protect. Every sign of life here was precious to him. Nothing lacked importance. The lobshark's mouth twitched as he felt a bigger smile slowly grow. "Beautiful, isn't it Lady Maijia? So precious and innocent this place is," He said and let his four blue eyes scan the life around them. "Hard to believe humans would want to risk destroying such a thing...." He mumbled after and swam a little closer. Some fish feared him for his status as a lobshark, so he was always cautious around new places so he would not scare anyone.
(( Yay! 8D ))
PostPosted: Fri May 09, 2008 7:09 pm

Maija looked at Nahuatl with a thoughtful gaze. His admiration for the reef and all of the things that lived here was clear. Maija gave a flickering sad smile as she responded, "Yes... It is hard to believe... Humans really don't seem to understand..." It was so clear that Nahuatl loved the sea deeply, which had granted the she-lobshark her smile. But the reason that it was a sad smile was because she knew that he would do anything to protect the sea that he loved. Anything. It was that that sent fleeting waves of fear through her. She swam forward as well, now behind him, as she looked about the reef and the neighborhood of living things. "So, Nahuatl, how exactly do you find recruits for your clan? I mean, what is it that you look for?" As she spoke, Maija looked about her intently. She was focused now, hoping they would have a couple new recruits by the end of today.

Nahuatl chuckled. "You may be surprised I'm not as picky about my recruits as many seem to think. I actually don't have too many standards. I look for any creature who wishes to be one with a clan. I like to spot out ones who can contribute back to the clan, but it's not mandatory. Besides that.... they just have to not get in my way when it comes to my "human" matters... I won't push them away because of their opinions, but I certainly won't allow people who oppose me directly." He narrowed his four eyes as he started to think of those who liked humans. He didn't understand, but he didn't hate those who thought that way. Just felt sorry for them. "Fish normally only travel with their own kind, so this new movement is a little hard to get started.
