I'm sure everyone knows (the rumor?) that Nintendo is working on Animal Crossing Wii. Are you guys looking forward to this sequel? If so, what features or improvements would you like to see in this new game?

I personally hope there will be more options for customizing your character, like more hair colors and faces. I'd also like to have more events; maybe a town-wide picnic or house parties (besides birthday parties). Ok, those sound kinda silly, don't they?

No, those ideas aren't silly at all. I know that when (yes, I say when, b/c it would be stupid if they didn't make an AC:Wii) it comes out I will get it the first day. I like the idea for more customizations. I would also like more room to put stuff in my house. In WW after you get the last expansion it seems like you can't put enough stuff in the room to make it seem full. I also would like more neighbors to be able to move in. Sometimes even with all the neighbors, my town seems empty. Even if they don't do any of that stuff, I know the game is going to be awesome.
Here are a few links with some information-they are pretty old, so you might have already seen them.
AC Wii Wiki MMO? Quick Blurb about 1/2way down 2008 Release?
Just googling it will yield lots of results.

Yeah, more room in your house and more neighbors are good ideas, too. I'm surprised I didn't think of that before. Thanks for the links. I actually haven't seen most of those.

Well I hope not. I don't see how they could think it's a good idea to get rid of the wifi on the Wii. I foresee friend codes still though. Still, I think if they offer wifi for the DS, they won't remove it for the Wii. The friend codes are supposed to prevent unwanted stuff from happening. I guess no one will know for sure until more information is released.
As for the main topic-another thing I thought of-I really liked in the Game Cube how some animals would say, "I left my notebook at Bob's house, will you go get it?" I miss those kinds of activities. I also miss the games-like I buried something in section B-3, can you find it? I hope they bring that stuff back also.

I would LOVE a MMO-type AC game and that's also what I'd been hearing thus far. I was majorly ticked off about the lack of social interaction with Brawl (I don't know who I'm fighting, this is AWESOME!). They could have done so much. I think they're scared of the "internet predators" thing that they might try to keep all their wifi players with blinders on.
If they step out from under that umbrella of stupidity, I think Animal Crossing could be the most popular Wii title if not just one of them. Easily.

I didn't mind not knowing who I was playing in Brawl. With a fighting game, I'm not real interested in hearing taunts and stuff-I'm just interested in fighting, so that didn't bother me, but I can see how that would be awfully hard to achieve with Animal Crossing. Communication is half the fun of the game. I would still like to see a "no friend code" option-and maybe like a way to "ban" people from your town if they came over and you didn't like them (like an ignore list or something). I think it can be a great game, but Nintendo does focus on younger kids and safety, which can sometimes put a damper on the games from an "older" perspective.

Well in Brawl, I didn't want direct communication per se, but you can't keep a leader board of who's good and who's bad. Like I can't keep track of wins/losses and allow players to fight me based on that. I think a system where we could choose our opponents based on skill would have been a lot better. D:
I'm just kinda holding my breath to see how they handle AC: Wii. Hopefully the interaction aspect doesn't make them chuck the MMO portion entirely. crying

Hopefully they will improve communication in the game a bit if they really do go MMO with it. I like KiwiDragon's idea of a "no friend code" option; that would be nice, since exchanging them can be a hassle, especially when your friends and family keep resetting their towns and have to get a new friend code (my cousins are always starting their games over).

What I'd like to see in AC Wii is most of the villagers in ACGC who didn't make it in ACWW, like Liz. I'd also like to see new villagers, more features(maybe being able to go swimming, or a mall, or even a movie theater)
