Omaigawd! Our band currently has six Bass Clarinets this year. We're getting two freshman next year...that makes eight! EIGHT BASS CLARINETS!!! That's freaking amazing and only UNHEARD of in our state. I mean...the other bands in our county only have two at the max. So eight Bass Clarinets next year is going to blow their minds!
I'M SO EXCITED!!!

I wish we had more bass clarinets...but...we only have 1 crying
I wanted to play bass clarinet but my BD wouldn't let anyone cause we only had 3 regular Bb clarinets so he wouldn't let anyone... xp

Aww...now I feel bad about that. I'm sorry.
The only reason we have so many too, is b/c our BD is always telling us thirty-two Bb Clarinets is way too many and he's always trying to recruit those to Bass. It's exciting and all, but I'm afraid we're going to become to many.

We had one last year but she switched to tuba... I'm not too worried though, I'm only in 8th and I'm sure there will be /someone/ who plays by 10th when I can do marching....

Bleck! I hate it when people switch...especially if they're of my own kind! I'm so sorry, but they just ticks me off when people they're too good for the instrument they play and switch! I mean granted...I've always wanted to switch to trumpet. That's only b/c I want to continue my career after my college years and I don't believe my college of choice has the option of Bass.

We only have two in our band. The one plays a few different instruments though for the concert(our band doesn't have good instrumentation this year). The other one doesn't know how to play Bass but she still does.

Me and my best friend are the only two original basses from my freshman year. We got a freshman this year, and two recruitments from other sections. Both of the recruitments play different instruments during concert season, one oboe, the other bassoon. So they're not really full time basses, but they do play during marching season...so that counts!
