I found two lovely lamps at Goodwill this afternoon. They're both desk/table lamps.
One lamp is just straight out of a little nautical loving boy's room. It's short, squat, heavy, reflective-y gold trim, blue fabric shade, transparent base, base is FILLED with seashells! It's so cute! I want to find another transparent body lamp like this and fill it up with like, marbles instead of seashells. Cause that'd be really cute too.
The other one is just amazing! It's tall! It's got this burnished coppery-gold base, this soft pink body with these brown flowers, stars, and white dots decorating it. No lamp shade came with it - but I'm going to go out sometime and find it a shade. I wanna find a shade in either white or that browny-gold color the stars and flowers on the body are. Maybe something with decorative dangles... LOL - I'll probably wind up spending more on the shade then on the lamp. Whether I buy a lamp shade or make one myself
Oh I heart my lamps. The boy one AND the girl one.
Now I just need to get some tall and thin candles for my chianti bottle since we finally used all of the chianti. We got this sweet, local wine for Easter and I'm tempted to put a candle in that one too.

You should take pictures when you have the chance, I wanna see 'em.
Where'd you end up putting them, or if you haven't placed them anywhere yet, where are you going to put them?

I haven't perma put them anywhere yet. I don't have my own apartment, or rented house, but when I do they're going in that! But for now what I'm thinking of doing...
My boyfriend rents this small house and he has this one room he NEVER uses. It's this beautiful sunroom in the back. Wooden floors, wooden cabinets, a pop out wooden table from the wall. It needs to be cleaned up a little and needs a woman's touch. But I told him I'm hijacking that room and using it for my own nefarious purposes. So when I get that place dusted, make sure everything's secure, I'm going to put the pink lamp in there. Probably between the two closet-y things in front of the window. As for the seashell one, I might put it in that room too OR the basement OR his bedroom since it would look really good in there.
