Roxy the red shepperd made her way through the long grasses on the edge of the local parks grounds. Her human, Ashton, Seemed to busy himself with a flimsy newspaper, struggling to keep the pages open as small spring breezes thought otherwise. He seated himself on a wooden bench as Roxy enjoyed herself, exploring a different side of the park on her own.
This side of the park seemed a little unkempt; the wet grasses were slightly longer and weeds ever more present...Though sometimes the most unexpected places revealed the best surprises.
A barking squirrel revealed Roxy's position, blowing any form of 'cover' she had... Though she really didn't care, she wasn't quite hiding from anyone in particular...she just simply hated being exposed.
A small wave of excitement rushed passed her as she bounded through the bushes, ignoring the rodents distancing cries as she ran aimlessly ahead and keeping an eye open for potential playmates.

Please stab my heart...
It was hard to hide with a snow white coat, so Santos didn't try. His human was back at the alley, taking care of the other dogs in the haven, so he was on his own in the overgrown grasses of the park, examining everything that was in reach.
His ice blue eyes sparkled with curiosity as he watched a caterpillar climb up a blade of grass slowly. He liked how it scrunched up it's body, and then stretched itself out. It didn't seem like something so simple would work as a means of transpertation, but it seemed to work for that little insect.
He only lifted his head up once he heard the bark of the squirrel, looking around for what could have startled it. What could be around this part, hm? He thought to himself, right before the female crashed through the bushes.
He jumped back a bit with a started bark, not wanting to be run into.
...The time has come for me

Roxy's legs immediately stopped, forcing herself to dig her nails into the soft earth to bring herself entirely to a hault. An akward second or two passed as Roxy found herself staring directly at another dogs eyes....But not just any dog..
Roxy's body twitched as a squirrel yelled from above, distracting her for a momment as she 'regained' herself.
"I'm so sorry..!" She said in a soft tone, ignoring the annoyance above. "I really didn't.." She paused, blinking a few moments before slowly saying "..My names Roxy.." She said in a cheery tone, though she couldn't help but shrink under the strongly built, white dog's gaze.

He chuckled, his eyes crinkling ever so slightly at the corner, as he watched the female and she stopped right in his face. She was highly energized, he could tell just by the air around her. This would be an interesting encounter, he knew.
He gave one last chuckle as she stumbled over her words and just waited with a kind smile on him muzzle. "Roxy, eh? I like that name. I'm Santos." He flicked his long, thick tail, trying to keep his stance friendly, but no where near submissive.
This female was attractive, he had to say. Her thick red-brown coat with it's unique patterns, stunning really. If he had to pick his favorite physical attribute, though, it would probably be her young, almost child-like, copper eyes. ...Wait? What was he doing? He shouldn't be drooling over this female like some sort of eye candy for the viewing. He had higher morals than that.

Her ears tweeked slightly with excitement when he complimented her name...Though she dare wouldn't show it; She was quite sure she had made a fool of herself already.
She sat comfortably, her tail draped along her side, as he continued to speak. "It's a pleasure to meet you" She said with a soft voice, smilling before her eyes washed over the scenery around them once more, "I love the smell of the warm earth on new spring days...!" She said with a grin, returning her attention to his.
"I Haven't quite seen you around here before..." She paused to add, "Are you new to the area?"

He nodded. "And the sun warming your fur! It's amazing!" He joined in her excitement his tail swaying just a bit faster.
"Yeah. I travel a lot. I like it in these parts though. I might decide to stay." He looked about. It certainly was lovely, and everyone seemed so friendly. /yes, staying here would be a delightful idea. He just hoped he was as welcomed as he though he was.
He returned his concentration to her, tilting his head slightly. "Did you grow up here?

She looked at him curiously as she nodded, "You could say that. My human adopted me a while back.." A chirping bird caught her attention, making her stand without a second thought.
She tore her attention away, slightly shying at her own inability to focus on the lovely male. "We frequent the spot very often actually.." She nodded in the direction of a large lake in the distant, with water fowl sprinkled on the surface.
"We came her yesterday to release a few lost ducklings..." She paused for a momment, "It's my humans thing..Helping animals.."
A warm breeze passed between them, stirring fallen leaves from the summer past. "Care to accompany me for a drink?" She asked with a soft smile, spying the 'doggy' water fountain along the humans path.
