What do you do if your partner snores?

He has done nasal strips but the cost of those add up a while. There are no sleep study specialists in my area. I have not have a good night's sleep in a lonnnnng time.

The only time I get restful sleep is between 8am and 9am when he gets ready for work. I can't cover my ears because I have to listen for the baby waking up. Would it be worth it to see a doctor about this, or am I just being over sensitive?

I have the SAME problem. Does your man sleep on his back a lot? Try rolling him over! Seriously, I have to nudge my hubby several times because I'm a light sleeper, and he falls asleep right away.

It's so true. If he is sleeping on his back, he is going to be snoring. Push him onto his side! xd

My hubby snores, but not as bad as my mom... who you could hear from your bedroom, with the door close, across the house. o.o; But anywho, what I do with both of them is that I count their snores until I fell asleep. ^^;; Kinda like counting sheep, but a little bit more active, because you have to hear it before you can count it. And by the time you hit thirty or so, you're sooo tired. Just fell right asleep. ^^ -- And my husband is a side-sleeper and still snores. So, eh, this works for me. Good luck!

I understand where you're coming from. My finacee snores like it's going out of style. Instead of constantly buying nasial strips, have you thought of buying a really good pair of ear plugs? I mean, the super-industrial kind that's used on construction sites. Nasial strips last a night, whereas ear plugs last for weeks. It took me a few nights to get used to having them in my ears, but I got used to it, and now we both sleep soundly. It's great, because they block out low frequencies, like snoring. But I can still hear my alarm clock when it goes off in the morning.

When my hubby starts to snore I get up and go to the couch. I shut the bedroom door and it muffles his snoring!

Lol . . . glad to know I'm not the only one who has this problem. I've ended up sleeping on the couch A LOT because I just get sooooo irritated with his snoring. Sometimes, if I'm already irritated with something before he starts snoring, I just give him a jab in the ribs to wake him up so hopefully I can get to sleep before he starts snoring again. o.O Probably not the nicest thing in the world . . . but it works . . . sometimes . . .

My hubby snores too, even on his side, and he REFUSES to wear "a band-aid" on his nose. stare

I just plug my ears, but counting the snores is a good idea too.

So, I've gotten use to his snoring! Never, ever, ever, ever thought it would happen. I hardly even notice it anymore, every once in awhile I give a good tap on the ribs with my elbow if he gets to loud, but beyond that its all good!

Lol, I do the exact same thing.
It's best if I fall asleep before him, then there are no problems.

I'm sure my wife and I both snore, but I never hear her and she never hears me. She does like to talk in her sleep though.

I'm glad Sarah doesn't snore like my dad and brother do. neutral I used to fall asleep with my pillow over my head. I even used ear plugs at one point.
