Why would this happen? We were trying to stop them from building on our park. We didn't know they would die. Those black things were only suppose to scare them away. They had never harmed us. They were like our pets. Why would they attack? Why were they still attacking?
Why did they let us live?

Their dead. Johnny, Sara, Alex. Their dead. And Josh and Nikki. My two earliest friends, carried away by the black things. It's worse when I don't know if their still alive or eaten or what. Josh was my closest pal. And Nikki. I've known her since we were three. I had grown to like her. To like her like her. I was planning on asking her out after we saved the park. But for all I know she's dead. I'm left alone.
Life sucks.
