Is any one going to go see it? I'm not in one of the areas they are showing it so I can't. Any one else here like Wrock? What's your favorite band? And why don't we have a subforum for wrock? ^ stoat ^

I have never heard of that movie, but it sounds good so I will be checking it out. I also believe that there is a thread dedicated to Wrock and things like that, so you might want to check it out if you are interested in Wrock. For me, my favorite Wrock band is The Remus Lupins.

I haven't even heard of it. I am recently a new fan of Wrock. I think my favorite band is Tonks and the Aurors, Ministry of Magic, or The Whomping Willows. I went and saw the first and last one last week.

This is the documentary thing they're making isn't it? Where can I find out where it's showing? I'd love to see it. I'm a big Wrock fan. My favorite bands are the Weasel King, Ministry of Magic and Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls.

Hi Eramourn! Your first question is a question more suited for our Chatterbox subforum or your Common Room. The main forum at Haven is for HP related topics only, like "comparison of Wizards the Movie with Harry Potter." (Can you tell I'm a Ravenclaw)!?
I personally LOVE Wrock, but haven't had a chance to listen to many except Harry and the Potters. Check out our Index (a sticky) and you'll see a link to our Wrock thread. A question like why don't we have a Wrock subforum? would go in our Suggestions/Requests sticky.
But I'll answer it here: subforums are birthed when there is a need for them, when a subject has many topics. Wrock can be handled with a single thread. Since it is a special interest, it's in our Index so it can easily be found, and/or bookmarked.

I'm going to lock this thread, let's continue the Wrock conversation over in the Wrock thread above. Steffyss and Rayvyn_Vaughn, I'd love it if you'll post links to those Wrock bands (if we don't have them) and your favorite songs, or what you like about them in the Wrock thread. Many thanks! --LHH P.S. I officially LOVE your weasel/ermine and coco graphic, Eramourn! Too cute! Unlocking this thread for Movie discussion:
I got this e-mail yesterday from Harry and the Potters: "Hello Friends,
Just wanted to let you guys know about some upcoming screenings of the documentary film We Are Wizards.
We Are Wizards is a film that profiles some of the interesting people working creatively in the Harry Potter underground. This includes a few wizard rock bands (ourselves, the Hungarian Horntails, Draco and the Malfoys, the Whomping Willows...) as well as our pal Melissa Anelli (the Leaky Cauldron/Pottercast), and our hero, Brad Neely (Wizard People, Dear Reader).
The film recently had its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March and this month is screening at a number of film festivals, including the New York Underground Film Festival (April 5 and cool , the Sarasota Film Festival (April 12 and 13), and the Boston Independent Film Festival (April 24 and 26).
Harry and the Potters will be making a few appearances as part of this festival tour. Paul will be on-hand in NYC for both screenings and Q&As. And then Harry and the Potters will perform following both screenings in Boston. The April 26th screening will feature a Q&A with nearly all of the film's subjects and will be followed by a rock show with the Potters, Malfoys and Hungarian Horntails!
