 Up high in the sky the sun, beaming with radiance and filling the clear cloudless sky with joy, it seemed to enjoy not struggling for dominance with silly little clouds. Down bellow A lion began to stir, his alarm clock had shone through his eye lids and informed him that it was in fact time to wake up. Stretching out his paws Chagi smiled, he'd had the most wonderful of dreams... huh...? Something, or someone was obstructing his movement. Flopping his head he had to do a double take... "it wasn't a dream..." escaped from his lips in a whisper of disbelief. Chagi blinked a few times the previous night flooding back to him, his eyes danced and he remembered the dialogs.
"Since the moment I spotted you
Like walking round with
little wings on my shoes
My stomach's filled with the
butterflies... and it's alright
Bouncing round from cloud to cloud
I got the feeling like
I'm never going to come down
If I said I didn't like it then you know I'd lied

The lion lay there smiling at his mate, this was better than any dream and he was quite content just to watch her sleep.

 A blue-green audit twitched at the sound of someone stirring, the blue and green lioness stretching her legs. She heard something whisper, but she couldn't make out the words. Ilmare could feel the warmth of the male that she was leaning next to and smiled before rolling over enough to see his face. "Morning Chagi." She said softly, the birds chirping happily all around. The lighting was perfect, it all felt like a dream, like it had the night before. "How are you?"
It was weird how it all started. Her adopted brother began getting depressed, thinking he would never find love(the fact that he had a stunted growth might have had something to do with it, but it eventually resulted in a growth spurt). Then she met Chagi, this weird lion with an even stranger accent she'd never heard before. But the more they talked the more she had warmed up to him and his strange accent. And then not long ago her brother found a mate in an old friend of theirs and had three healthy little girls together. Though she was very happy for him she couldn't help but feel a little jealous, and she could see that Chagi wanted a family as well.
And that was when the best night of her life began, with him proposing to be her mate and her acceptance.

Bringing over his free paw he gently stroked her cheek, the heat of the day had kept them both warm. His tail scraped across the ground a sure sign that not much else could make this moment of his life any happier, a smile crossing his lips as her voice danced in his mind. "Never better Lady Ilmare" he chirped his belly making its morning protest for food, mentally Chagi scolding it for making such an interruption. "And yous?" At last his mind had settled, for the first time since he the beautiful Ilmare he was sober and able to smile with real joy.
There was no bad thoughts... When he'd first laid eyes on her he'd only intended to greet her being a new face for him. She was young but stunning in her own right, even at first glance he'd felt inspired by her eyes, as they spoke he learned more of her way. Lady Ilmare had been through so much and though she seemed younger in appearance he couldn't help admire her for her superior maturity to his. Not long after he started to develop feelings, he knew they were wrong it was forbidden... he longed for her and sought out means to forget the thoughts however temporary. Going back to his 'habbit' he found a friend in someone close to Ilmare, Kai, every time he saw the cub it reminded him or her and there was no other option than to get totally away with the fairies. It was on a walk he'd encountered Hotaru she was sweet and they talked all night, she'd damaged her wing it seemed innocent enough, Hotaru had only strengthened his feelings for Ilmare, in comparison the new female could feature as nothing more than a friend to him... The next morning she was still there he'd had a strange dream... Confused he awoken and to his surprise Ilmare was near and even more of a shock.. she'd grown. His heart jumped and his words were stuttered from that point on he knew what he wished... what he longed and lusted for but still he held back..
On the previous night there was a gathering on the beach, many couples joined and the scene had made him jealous. Then there she was again, alone and sad... Chagi built up the courage and went to talk. As the conversation progressed and the compliments flew he'd finally felt brave enough. If he hadn't he'd still be left wondering but he'd made it clear and he'd not been pushed away. Without further ado he said what he needed to say and did what he longed for and it was then she'd made him the happiest lion on the isle.
His proposal had been accepted and here they where, she'd not left in the night and though he still pondered as to why no other had claimed the perfection that was Ilmare he was ecstatic. Chagi was living his dreams... well aside from one thing...

Ilmare nuzzled into the males autumn colored mane, happy to be so close to him. Even though the night had started off bad, she never could have thought it would end so perfect. Now she was with one of the sweetest lions, even though he might not think so, that thought the world of her. Who could ask for someone better? Certainly not her. It was then that she felt a rumble in her belly, signaling that it was time to feed. She could tell they were both hungry, she had already heard his stomach growl. "Other than a ravishing hunger, I couldn't be better." She replied, licking his cheek. And admittedly, she couldn't ever remember being this hungry before.

Returning her affectionate nuzzle he let out a chuckle and flopped back, coming to the conclusion their snuggle time was over for now. That was a shame he'd felt lazy in his time but never wanted to stay in the same place... the same moment with the same person this much before. "T'en may I propose our first 'unt" He smiled, he'd heard of prides where only the females hunted but that seemed silly to him. Besides he'd take any excuse to be by her side and join in an activity to ease her burden, perhaps that'd catch enough to take round to Anthur's new lot? His new misses must of been tired after the recent birth and with all those cubs Chagi figured they'd appreciate a little help.

The lioness lifted her front in another stretch, giving a big yawn and shaking her head and neck. "That sounds wonderful Chagi." It really did, her hunger was starting to gnaw incesently at her.

Now that his body was free he had no excuse to carry on lying there enjoying her company, ahh well there was always tonight! "T'en let us be of" He offered Ilmare a paw to help her to her feet gracefully then lead further into the forest area with a reasonable trot. Making sure his mate was with him at all times, and occasionally catching her eyes and smiling, those eyes... they still got him and made his heart dance.
After a short time the pair came to a clearing, marked off by tall tree's and bushes a lone boar limped about. It was obviously an adult but it seemed to be injured turning to Ilmare Chagi whispered "Poor t'ing, s'all we end i's pain?" He slunk down to the ground and raised his rump, they were already a few feet away and the animal seemed oblivious.

Chagi was so nice to her, he had been since the first day they met when she was just a cub. Even though in the beginning it was a kind of scary attraction he had towards her, she was able to look past it and it was the best thing that had happened to her once she had fully grown, the same with her adopted brother. The lioness gladly followed, sticking close to her mate and hunkered low to the ground in a hunting position the entire time they walked. The male would look back at her occassionally, catching her eyes and smiling. He was so cute.
The boar caught Ilmare's attention, and her head lifted to get a better view of it as Chagi whispered to her. Nodding in silent response she got back down, almost giggling at his pose. It looked funny from the rear. Silently the already well camoflouged female began to circle around to the other side, incase the board wasn't as hurt as previously thought and was able to get away, which she doubted but didn't want to take the chance, she felt like she was starving, and waited for Chagi's signal once she was in place opposite.

Waving his tail he nodded back as she started to move into position, shuffling forward a few steps he was as close as possible without being noticed. Having such vibrant colors could often be his downside, Chagi would never of attempted something like this on his own. He knew as soon as the boar spotted him it would dart and that was where his beautiful mate came into play. Flicking his tail at Ilmare he nodded once more and let out a grumbled roar, pushing his paws off the ground and taking off flying towards the lone boar.
Letting the fierce growl vibrate through his fur he grinned at the animal as he began to dart towards Ilmare. She was perfect for this kind of trick, her colors blended in perfectly with the surroundings, it was hard for him to keep his eye on the prize and not catch a quick glimpse at his mate in action. Mmm just the thought of her striking the hunting pose... demanding dominance over the defenseless creature, he couldn't help but take note the boar was in her court now and he just had to watch.

The game was on the moment she saw Chagi leap, the boar heading in her direction in terror. So it's leg was indeed not as bad as previously thought. Wings pressed close to her body she lashed out just infront of the boar, teeth bared and claws gleaming as she more or less tackled the thing. Her teeth clamped down and her claws dug into the tough hide, the boar squealing for s few moments before it was silenced. Ilmare stayed in place, not letting go until she was sure it was dead.
After a few lingering moments she released it, stretching her wings. The beast tasted divine, and the small sampling only made her hunger more. "Perfect hunt Chagi."

A smile graced his lips as he watched her in action, everything had gone to plan and apparently the boar hadn't been as injured as first thought. Mentally Chagi shrugged it off and admired the way Ilmare played her part and secured the meal. As soon as he landed he padded over to her and licked a trickle of blood from the side of her maw and sniffed the kill. It begged him to tuck in but he had manner enough to gesture towards his love to begin, he wouldn't be too far behind, circling round to its rump and eyeing the flesh up longingly.
"Tuck intos our firs' kill lady Ilmare" He nodded and gazed into her eyes "Yous were perfect, I knows t'at much" Fluttering his wings lightly he clears the nearby ground of lone leafs and loose dirt. The perfect dining spot for his perfect mate on there first perfect hunt, it made him chuckle almost coyly, he was having a hard time realizing he had woken up.

Ilmare smiled at her mate, he had such good manners. "Why thank you Chagi. You were wonderful." She replied, stepping forward and digging into the kill. It was delicious, possibly the most delicious animal she'd ever eaten. She'd eaten her fair share of wild boar before, so why did this beast taste so divine? Was it that it's diet was different than the others? Or was it just because of how hungry she had become? It was admittedly hard for her to keep a steady pace while eating so that Chagi could get his fair share of the meal, as boars weren't exactly the biggest animals on the isle. Beggars can't be choosers though, and predators couldn't afford to be picky at their meals.

Chagi waiting a few seconds then dived in, watching her pace and assuming if he didn't get some now there wouldn't be much left later! He'd never seen her eat before but she sure was going at it, perhaps it was all the exercise they had been doing... yea it must of been. If it wasn't for Chagi's simplistic way of thinking he'd of started to become suspicious but he wasn't one to judge and put it down to a hungry day.
Licking around his maw the fall lion got to his feet and stretched, leaving the remaining mouthfuls for Ilmare, it seemed there wouldn't be enough to take round to Anhur and co. Shame that he really enjoyed playing with his little nieces....
"Mmm t'at was better t'an any fis' caug't on me own"

Noticing that Chagi had left the remaining for her she gladly took it, unaware of what Chagi could be thinking even if he wasn't, as it hadn't really crossed her mind yet. Once she was finished eating she stood and stretched as well, realizing just how much she'd eaten and began to blush. "I'm sorry Chagi, I ate most of our meal." She said apologetically, embarassed at the amount of food she'd eaten. Normally Ilmare would have some leftover and would bring it to Anhur and Kaimana, or whoever she found first of their little adopted family.

"Nout wrong wit' a 'ealt'y apatite!" He smiles and nuzzled Illmare's blushing cheeks, closing his eyes and nodding. "Per'aps Lady Illmare would care to stroll wit' a doofus mate?" Chagi let out a slightly chuckle, he'd had a time taking himself seriously before meeting Ilmare and now that he felt comfortable within himself he'd reverted back to his care free holly attitude. Which lets be honest is much better than the emotional mess we'd previously seen!
Turning he headed a few paces towards the beach, swaying his tail happily and contently fed. Maybe they could go for a swim after their meal settled and if his love was still hungry he'd became quite adapt at snatching fish for snacks.
