Argh! I enjoy reading fiction, paranormal books. What is everyone's favorite? Fiction, Nonfiction, science, science fiction, mythology, time travel, alternate history it doesn't matter. I am always looking for a good read.

My favorite paranormal book, actually its a series of thus far 9 books called Area 51 by Robert Doherty. It's fiction and the books are pretty easy reads. It ties in mythology, ancient landmarks and mysteries together in one big story. From the pyramids to Atlantis to vampires to Area51 to UFO's to Easter Island to nanotechnology etc.

I also liked his other books The Rock and the Psychic Warrior Series.

One of my favourite books is The Time Machine by H.G. Wells.
It's an interesting one for time travel. It doesn't have much science in it and it reads just like a story.
I've yet to read any paranormal books (for fun), though.
Any suggestions?
I really like cryptozoology.
I've already read up tons on the Loch Ness Monster and the Mothman for research papers. So, preferably no books on those....well, the Mothman is fine. But none on Nessie unless they're really worth it >.<

Area 51...I'll definitely check that out. I'm currently reading Mysterious America: The ultimate Guide To the Nation's Weirdest Wonders, Strangest Spots, and Creepy Creatures by Loren Coleman.

Hmmmm...well, there's a good bunch of children's novels called Mind Warp. Contains aliens, psychics, time travel and much more. Please not that they are children's novels, so not very indepth, but they're fun and interesting to read. Along with this set of children's books is stories by Mary Downing Hahn, such as Wait For Me By Moonlight and Time For Andrew. Good, short reads.

I've now been catching up on my Stephen King and currently in the middle of It. Heck that's creepy stuff. Good literature though..not certain if it fits into paranormal. I think King's books are so unique that they don't really fit into any category.

So far my favorite true Paranormal book has been Haunted Wisconsin. It was an old book that I read in Elementery school, but they've redone the book and it's not as good anymore. Can't find the old one is no where to be found. Very sad cause it was sooooo good.

As far as fiction- anything by Stephen King, of course, except the Dark Tower series- just can't get into it. His son, Joe Hill, is pretty good, too, I just finished Heart Shaped Box, it was great but the ending was "meh". Poe is great, Neil Gaiman, too...I also like some stuff by Clive Barker, Cabal is my favorite of his.

As far as non-fiction, I always loved Hans Holzer, but I question how true it all is. Ghosts is my favorite of his, I think it is just a big collection of some of his most exciting investigations. I've never found a copy to own, but I took out the library's copy so many times it might as well have been mine, heh.

My favorites paranormal book(s) would have to be a group of paranormal encyclopedias. I was given and lost them do to an unexpect move, so I don't know the titles. They covered all kinds things from science and mythology to the paranormal and normal of events.

I also like reading on forbidden arcology, if that counts.
