Okay, looking at our other roleplay, it's not going so well. The majority of posts is one-liners, leaving any lurkers we might pick up thinking we're a bunch of illiterate people incapable of starting good roleplays... To be blunt.
Time to prove them wrong!
Okay, First, we need some...
RULES
1. Keep it PG, people... Not that that should be a problem with these fluffly little things scampering about so cutely. smile
2. I understand an occasional one-liner, but please try to keep your posts AT LEAST one paragraph.
3. The standard role-playing rules. No godmoding, etc. Don't try to hog the action, don't make your fluffle an all-powerful, god of fluff! BWAHAHA!... You know, that type of thing.
4. Be descriptive. For example...
"Oni grabbed the torch and went inside the cave."
No.
"Oni carefully took the torch hanging on the side of the cave wall and entered the cave, dreading what she might find..."
a little cheesy, but better. wink
5. For this roleplay, it's third person, past tense. Examples:
"Oni walks to the cave and laughs." No.
"I walk to the cave and giggle." No.
"Oni walked to the cave and giggled." Yes.
I think that's it for now, rule-wise, but I may add later, so keep an eye out.
PLOT LINE
Okay, since the other roleplay doesn't have a very good plot... I figured maybe if I started something out with a plot line, we could just roll with it and maybe get something good going. So...
Here's the plot. The fluffle's static is disappearing. No one's really sure why, so they're starting a group to find where the static is going. (that's where our fluffles come in). I figure there's some evil guy harnessing their electricity for his own evil purposes. smile

THE BEGINNING POST! The group of fluffles milled about anxiously, whispering among themselves. Normally, this would have been impossible to do without setting off dozens of static shocks. Slowly, the fluffles had been losing their staticyness, and their fluff along with it! A few of the younger fluffles had gotten sick, and the most recent eggs hadn't been hatching. Now, a meeting had been called to discuss a course of action.
Unfortunately, not much was really being discussed. It was mostly a mass of confusion and anxiety, with everyone running around worriedly, trying frantically to build up a charge.
"Hey! Quiet!" Oni shouted finally, trying to get her fellow fluffles focused. The hum of frightened fluffles quieted as they turned to look at the source of the noise, "This isn't getting anything done! We need to figure out what's going on here!... Any suggestions?"((For the record, I am not godmoding or powerplaying, or making my fluffle allpowerful, if that's how it seems. I'm just trying to set up the first post. You may commence posting now. wink wink ))

Shizuka quietly sat watching the group, she was just as much in fret as the others but kept her cool rather easily. She looked towards Laertes and Ophy."A task force of some sort? Who would be wiling to do the job anyhow. We aren't all detective smart here or police smart for that matter...." she said the last sentence in a rather mumble-ish tone.
L was rather late for the meeting, which wasn't a good thing at all. He was rushing about as fast as he could to get there. He had gotten inside the room tripping over a rock of some sort and bashing his head into Shizuka's. "Sorry I'm late I had umm research and I had to work on another case....forgive me". A small bow and L plopped down next to Shizuka looking intent and rather interested in what the groups come up with so far.

Ophy says to L sarcastically "Mind showing up on time to a meeting to save our world" Ophy says" If anyone has any particular skills please let us know. Especially in a police background"
Laert happened to hear Shizuka and says" if got anything better please let me know." He then turns to L "Hey I heard you say you were working on a case, do you work with the police? If so we could use you.

Shizuka blushed a tad as she felt quite embarassed for speaking out of line. "No....sorry" a slight sigh came from her mouth as she looked to L and giggled slightly. "He's probably one of the only detectives you could find miles from here atleast last I checked anyhow".
L looked surprised but nodded slightly. He definately worked on cases and police work. Infact he did all his cases solo as he never had anyone to help him except Shizuka who gathered information he needed."You want me to help? Well I would be happy to oblige" Blinking afew times and stretching his tail, L looked to the whole group of Fluffles."Does anyone mind if I work on this case at all it sounds interesting"

Ophy looks at L and says "be our guest because you're all we've got for now" She looks at Shizuka and says you've looked him up!" she says a little wide eyed Ophy thinks in her head at first that Shizuka is a stalker
"She probably works for him dummy" He says to L"Thanks a bunch we need the help" He then says to the crowd at large" Does anyone have any objections to L working on the case" No one speaks up and he is satisfied "Anyone have any expertise to add to our cause?" he adds
Ophy flushes at her assumptions and mumbles a sorry. and meanders to the other side of the room to see how the rest of the meeting goes.

"Well," Oni stretched lazily and moved over to where more of the action was taking place, "I don't really have any experience with this stuff, persay... But I did see something pretty weird last night... I was up late, um..." She paused, unsure she wanted to reveal that she'd been singing. "I was up late, and I could see electricity, all different colors, floating up into the sky and drifting in the direction of the mountain off to the North... It only lasted a few seconds, and I suppose I was tired... But at this point I can't think of anything other leads we might have. Besides going toward the mountain I can't think of anything to do other than shuffle our feet on a carpet to keep our static up."
She surveyed L suspiciously. "So, Mr. Detective... What cases have you worked on before? I don't object to you helping, but I think we should get to know how much experience you have before we start off.
"Speaking of which, does anyone mind if we head off to the mountain, first?"
((Come on guys! LONG POSTS! LONG POSTS! biggrin WE WANT TO GET IN A GOOD ROLEPLAY! LETS GO! GO! GO! Also, Miroke, I noticed in at least one of your posts, you were using present tense? Past tense, please. smile ))

(I'ma going to have Matt rp later not right now as he will meet up with the group later on in the rp. Rosetta may show up randomly aswell. Oh and Rosetta will be deepskyblue and Matt will be red )
L's ears twitched as he was being told and asked many things. Thus he decided to go with the flow and answer everything in order starting with Laertes and Ophy."Chizuka" L mumbled to himself mentioning Shizuka."Helps me and gathers all sorts of information for me...." as he said this he brought his tail up in a rather speedy like way and began to nibble on it half minded, as he was soo used to the fact of chewing it by now it wasn't noticeable. His ears then turned towards Oni and he paused his incessant chewing on his tail for afew seconds and began to nibble on the tip of his tan colored tail."I've done quite afew cases by now. Most of the time its usually nothing serious, because we all usually live in peaceful lives. Most of the time its something thats lost or is stuck. Though..." L's chewing slowed as he his huge eyes looked at Oni."There was two murder cases I had to solve in the past....one was my sister of course before she could even hatch and another was a rather old Fluffle that I had never met..." Shaking his head slightly and closing his eyes for a matter of seconds. L reopened them and stared into Oni's eyes in agreement."We should head towards the mountain...but I think we should go in groups of 4-5 atleast"
"But everyone!" Shizuka looked almost in shock at what L was saying. She didn't help him in the first murder case nor the second one. She felt much like she didn't know the real L quite yet even though they had been best of buddies since they were rather small. Shaking her head deiscreetly Shizuka decided to put the thought aside and go back to what she was about to say a moment ago."That mountain is dangerous! You all know there are wild Fluffle that live out there and much more dangerous things...some say that there are even creatures out there that eat Fluffles! Its much too dangerous especially for the younger Fluffles" Shizuka's ears twitched as she said this."Although we are losing our static we still must think of the safety of the others...."

Oni twitched her tail, still not quite trusting L... She decided to play along. After all, he still might be telling the truth.
"If it's so dangerous," Oni turned to Shizuka, "than only the adult fluffles will go. And only those that voulenteer. I want to go, because really, it doesn't make sense for all of us to stay here and then later, when we're all sick and dying to say, 'Oh, but at least we weren't eaten.' We'll have to take some risks if we want to save the eggs, and the kids, and ourselves! Come on, who else is going?" Oni raised her tail proudly, silently hoping to herself that others would follow her example and come with her. Going to save everyone by traveling up the mountain was all well and good, but she wasn't so sure she wanted to do it on her own...
"Wait!" Wilya dashed in and stumbled over to his cousin, "I'm coming, too!... I don't know where we're going, but I'm coming! I want to rip who ever's takin' our static to shreds!"
Oni rolled her eyes at her cousin's dramatics, but was glad that he'd finally made it to the meeting.
"We're going up the mountain," she told him, "at least, I think that's what we decided... That's where I'm going at least."
Wilya blinked, twitching his tail.
"The mountain? Uh... Okay. Right. The mountain," he repeated aloud, "I'm coming! When do we leave?" He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to go up the mountain... But if Oni was going, he'd come, too, and besides, after thinking about it for a few moments, Wilya decided it sounded like an adventure! And there weren't many of those around fluffle-world...
((Your post was fine. smile In this layout, long posts, might seem kind of shorter. Mainly I'm just hoping to keep posts at at least one paragraph, and trying to avoid one liners.))

Shizuka bit her lip as she couldn't think of what to do. Oni was right that only the people who volunteered should go. She was just unsure whether or not she should go.
L looked at Shizuka then back to Oni."She's right....I'm going" L looked to Shizuka."I know its dangerous but I want to help out....this seems like one of the most interesting things....besides thats what detectives do they take risks" L looked at the crowd curiously."Is anyone else going to volunteer besides myself and Oni?" L looked at the crowd of Fluffles as they murmured and awaited to see if any of them had enough courage to go along in the journey.
Shizuka looked at L her eyes looked watery."I will go I've always helped you with most of your cases....I want to help" Shizuka nodded and poked L with her tail."Count me in on this!" Shizuka quickly nodded looking at Oni.
Matt still a rather young Fluffle pushed threw the crowd as he heard L speak. His blue ears shivered slightly. He seemed to still have quite abit of static still which kept him from getting sick but he was losing the static little by little. Matt approached Oni and looked deeply into her eyes."I want to come along too....please" Some of the crowd seemed to look surprised at the little ones announcement as he was still barely even a teenager yet."I would really like to come I realize its dangerous but please?"

When hearing Matt come forward, Moira also leaves her friends and comes rushing up beside him."Please let me come too! Just because I'm not all that smart... or strong. But I really want a chance to prove myself!" You can see that Moira is the one rainbow in the village, and she is losing static drastically."I just want a chance to prove myself!" She bumps Matt"Please let us join!"
Roarke upon hearing this kind of wants to join but is pretty shy. If went he up there everyone would look at him!! Roarke does not want to leave his village to die so, he nervously, raises his shaking tail and whispers"me too".
Laertes jumps up and says"NO! absolutely not the reason we are going is to save you children! You can't go. If we are this desperate for party members, I'll join" he says as he raises his tail. Secretly he just doesn't want his cousin Moira to leave. He is sure she will perish, and he refuses to even think of it.
Ophelia looks at her brother and sighs"I guess I'll go to, to make sure Laert here doesn't doom everyone. But I think we should give everyone a shot." She winks at Moira knowing she is chomping at the bit.
Moira squeals, Laertes glares, Roarke blushes as Moira jumps up and down with him(whether he likes it or not) and Ophelia grins at her brother Laert.

Oni raised her eyebrows (if fluffles even have eyebrows) as the little red fluffle, named Matt, looked into her eyes and asked to come.
"It's not my decision, you know," she told him, "but I don't care if you come along."
Immediately, a group of other young ones, and a few more adult fluffles decided to come.
She wasn't sure if all these young ones to come, but it was their choice, and if they really wanted to help...
Wilya began to bounce up and down in excitement.
"So, when do we leave, when do we leave?" he asked happily. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to set out.
