I really enjoy Shakespeare's work. Just wondering if anyone else does...

There's only one problem with Shakespearian plays. They're meant to be seen, not read.
But gawd, do I love Much Ado About Nothing.

He's pretty good! Romeo and Juliet is really sad but it makes me angry how they are so quick to take their lives!

We're reading Romeo and Juliet in English right now. Appearently, I was the only one dreading to read it. We just finished Act 1. Romeo annoys me so much. And I can never catch any of the puns. But I think I understand it better than most of my class, which is just really, really sad.
My teacher said that it's not all about love, but so far, it doesn't seem that way.

I read Romeo & Juliet and saw two different types of movies of it. The story was ok, but I didn't really understand most of it. It doesn't help that my english teacher is ok at teaching.

Shakespeare is AWESOME! I first started acting in theater when I was 9yrs. Right after I read some of his works.

I love Romeo and Juliet. <3
I sort of don't really like Macbeth but I think that's only because we spent so much time on it in school...

yup. :3
I've been to see quite a few of his plays at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream was really well done.
Othello ftw.

My teacher said that it's not all about love, but so far, it doesn't seem that way. If your teacher isn't explaining it as you go, they're not doing a very good job of teaching the material. Your teacher should be explaining the puns and the social conditions that are being referenced while you're reviewing what you just read. A lot of the jokes are very obvious once you get their context, and it makes the whole thing a lot more interesting. When we reviewed Romeo and Juliet we actually also watched a modern interpretation and compared them. The discussion even went into comparisons with West Side Story.

I'm a little embarrased to admit I have yet to read "Romeo and Juliet" sweatdrop
But... I have read and loved "Macbeth", "A Midsummers Night's Dream", and "The Merry Wives of Windsor."
I was actually in "Merry Wives" and it was so much fun! (I'm a regular high school theater dork xd ) And I saw "Cymbeline" preformed so I really need to read it. I also want to read "Othello" because when I was in "The Fantasticks" the main character mentioned part of it and it sounded very interesting ahaha.
