Bryce leapt from rock to rock, finally reaching an outcropping. He stumbled a bit, but regained his balance and pulled himself up. He bellowed out a call. The Fallen had no lord, no leader; Bryce wondered if they would even give him a second glance.
But he had to try.... if only this once....
Ever loyal, his vulpine companion found another way up the cliffside. "Okay. Explain this to me one more time," she panted, coming to stand beside him. "I'm going to try to speak to them. It's never too late to turn your life around. Or afterlife, in this case." "Yeah, uh, these guys might not agree with you on that one," Raven peered over the edge, "Just..... try not to tick them off." Her brow knitted together, "Not a whole lot of the Fallen are like you."
"Fallen! Listen to me! I have seen so much more than this mountian, there is still hope--- Please, lend me your ear!" Raven winced, Bryce wasn't the best public speaker, "We are so dead." She glanced over to Bryce, "Well, I'm dead. You're going to be dismembered or something."

It was a rare thing for something to interest Envy, endless years had caused him to have already seen just about everything he would consider to be interesting. However when a bellow souded out from among their lands, his small skull raised up, the sickly shining eyes alight with curiousity. Well well well, what was this? Could it actually be a summon? Of course, it must be, for what else would make that sort of noise? Even dead as he was, Envy recognized the meaning of the call from his years of life, short as they had been.
But what, if anything, could possibly possess one of the fallen to summon the rest? Surely, nothing less than something fascinating. After all, they all knew very well that none of the fallen were really friends, none of them felt much degree of loyalty towards each other. They were only a herd because of the circumstances of their lives, or rather, their deaths. For one of their number to want to call the rest together...well this must be a momentus occasion indeed, and Envy for one, did not want to miss out on anything that could be potentially hold a spark of interest for him.
As he wandered towards the sound, he wondered what it could be, but nothing he could think of worked. After all, whatever the fallen did, they mostly did as solitary creatures, Gluttony voraciously eating, Lust tempting, Wrath slaughtering. Though these were all interesting enough perhaps, but because the fallen had no sense of kinship, they had no reason to ask others to join them. So what could one of them want?
As he reached the rocks, he looked up to the strangest sight he had ever seen. One of the fallen, which was nothing new, but beside him, on the ground at his feet stood a fox. Now, a fallen summons was one thing, a living, breathing entity that would come here was another entirely. And what was more, than fallen seemed to be talking to it, treating it as, a friend? Well, perhaps this would be more interesting than he had anticipated. Granted Gluttony didn't eat the creature first of course.

It was Bryce’s very bad luck that Wrath happened to be in the area when the summoning bellow rang out through the air. The deadly stag was resting beneath the shadow the wretched mountain. Perhaps not so much resting as struggling with the bloody demons that constantly choked his being. Half-remembered voices from long ago, whispering in his ear and sending him further into the spiraling madness. There was not enough blood, never enough blood, to end his torment.
The bellow of the other fallen stag cut through him like a knife, driving him onto his hooves in an instant. Rage blossomed in his chest anew, rising like a raging fire that threatened to consume him. Of them all, it was Wrath that had lost the most of who he had once been, his whole mind and being a twisted, rotten mess.
Who would dare summon Wrath? Nobody should be so bold! He began moving towards the fool at a fast pace, and was soon close enough that he heard those damnable words. There is still hope. Wrath saw red. Deep, heart-blood red.
The stag slowed as he reached the outcropping, skidding to a halt and snorting. He half took three heavy steps towards Bryce’s position, red eyes swirling with madness. His presence was an intimidating one; antlers and pelt stained with the blood that he believed was owed to him. His voice when he spoke was low and dangerous, almost mocking in its tone. “Tell me, what hope is there?” It was almost as if he was laughing at the other stag.
Wrath could barely retrain his desire to leap forward and kill, and soon, he would let go of his own leash.
Ooc: ... Bryce is in trouble. XD

((I'm going on what Wrath's prompt said for history; sorry if I mess up XD Oh And I'm not trying to ignore Envy, Tamiko, Bryce is just a little preocupied with his impending doom Wrath >>))
Bryce inhaled. He was frightened-- no, that was too weak a word-- he was terrified. But if what he'd heard of Wrath was true, he might have something to use. "Wrath, is it?" He allowed his glowing eyes to show sympathy, "You had a family once, didn't you? Then perhaps you can understand me best.
"I have a familiy now, too." Bryce nodded to Raven, "Dear friends, a mate, and a daughter in my own right. Nothing is beyond redemption, why else would we be here, and not in Hell?" Bryce thought he was finding his rythem, maybe speaking to other Fallen wasn't so bad. "And I feel love for my familiy; that is where there is hope. As long as we can still feel, we have hope. We don't have to stay this way forever. I don't believe this is all that Herne had in mind for us."
Raven knew Bryce was speaking from the heart, but that might not be enough (and it was kind of corny), "I hope you can think on your feet."

((xD no problem, Envy's only been observing up till now anyways))
The small green calf felt that familiar twist in his gut as he watched the fox breath. How lucky it was, to be alive. How stupid it was, to come here. The feeling knawed at him. He wanted it, more than he could ever hope to express or put into words. The desire was a deep rooted, painful but constant thing, that flared up at times more than others. This was one of those times. That fox...he wanted it's life. Silently, he glared as he contemplated what to do about it.
As a familiar and foreboding red figure approached, Envy perked up. Wrath was here too, and not at all in a good mood it seemed. Well, this would be interesting after all, Wrath always made things interesting. Of course, Envy was always careful only to watch, and never to get in the way of the once proud stag. Perhaps Wrath would kill the fox. That might be nice. Where once Envy had fought with his feelings of constant jealousy, and had been bitter, but still yearnful, he was now only sadistically amused.
Bryce's words sounded ridiculous, but dubious as he was Envy still had enough of himself to recognize that had this speech come several decades or years earlier, and he probably would have jumped for joy. He had had longing and hope. But that had been a long time ago. Now it had been replaced by the twisted sense of humour the child gleaned from everything. Though the words were dressed up pretty, Envy just waasn't sure he could muster enough of his former self to feel anything other than disgust.
"You have a mate? Is she blind? And without any sense of touch or smell? And a daughter? What is she then? Half deer, half corpse?" He snickered. So that was all this was? Some fallen so utterly devoid of hope that he believed he had a family? How boring. He hoped Wrath would kill the fox, that would at least give him something. He snorted at the ridiculous sentinments voiced by the other fallen. "Do you still really believe that? I think Herne jost got bored one day and decided to screw some of us over. Just for kicks you know? Herne is not a god. There is no god. Not for us, anyways. The sooner you realize that the better off you'll be."

Preoccupied as he was with the red stag, the words against his family peirced his ears. His head swiveled around to face the youngling. "Hardly. She sees fine, smells fine, and feels fine. As for my daughter, a friend, a living friend, acted as surrogate. My mate and I raised her.
"You're wrong," Bryce said with more force than he intended, at Envy's oppinion of Herne. His voice did not quaver, but stayed solid and strong; Bryce believed in what he said, "Herne gave us a chance. We all rose for different reasons; we all had unfinished buisiness." For the first time since his death, Bryce truely held his own. No more shame, no more submission, no more second fiddle. "I found my purpose. You can find yours."
Raven climbed a little higher, trying to get away from Wrath. She was too young to die! She wanted a fox and some kits! "Cut a girl a break," she muttered.

“A family…” Wrath breathed the words out slowly, but this was no moment of revelation. He was angry; so angry that an odd stillness had come across his entire body. So, this fallen believed he could have what he did deserve? He believed he could have what had been torn from Wrath? Oh, to rip out this ones heart and devour it. But the fallen did not have hearts. So this ones family would have to suffice.
The large stags gaze flittered over to the fallen calf that chose to speak up; his twisting mind searching for who this one actually was. Ah yes, the envious one. He looked back at Bryce, the continued words never reaching him. Wrath began moving closer, chest out and head high.
“A family… a family…” His insane, deep laughter rung throughout the area. “You believe you deserve such a thing? You do not. You are nothing. A decaying corpse that should have stayed in his grave.” For the first time he seemed to notice the fox, and he snorted, the bubbling rage threatening to spill over. “I will destroy your friends and your family. And then… and then you can tell me all about Herne.”
Wrath gave a loud bellow, a sound filled with such pure fury and ferocity that it made the earth tremble.

Raven couldn't understand the language of any deer besides speakers, but Wrath's course words caused the fur on her neck to raise and her tail to puff out, "Bryce this is bad, isn't it? This is really bad...." She was high enough now to be over her friends antlers. Was that far enough? The red stag seem so big....
"It's alright, Raven. Get as high as you can, but don't make any sudden movements," Bryce looked back to Wrath and postured himself deffensively, "No. You won't hurt my family. I'm offering you a chance at redemption. If we do as we must, Herne will surely open the gates to the next world. It will take time, but what is time to us?"
Bryce felt like he was reasoning with Sgorr all over again, "Please, Wrath. I don't want a fight. I want to help you; I want to help all the Fallen."

Huh, unfinished business? Yeah, he wished. Envy once had believed there might be more to the fallen's existence, but that had been when he was far younger, and far stupider. Since that time he had grown, changed. Not physically, obviously, but his mind was far older than that of the child he had once been. Unfortunately, there were still parts of him he could not erase that were childish. The want of a mother's touch, for one. But now, looking at all those living deer, he felt nothing but sickening envy, a desire for the life they possessed that had been ripped from him. It hurt him like a physical pain, and he could no longer stand to be around things that breathed without feeling that intense pain. How Bryce could was a mystery to him. Certainly, he envied the fact that Bryce's belief was so strong...but could not bring himself to believe it. After all, he had once, and look where it had got him. Nowhere.
"Well, now you've gone and done it," Envy muttered as Wrath bellowed in rage. Honestly, he might have felt sorry for Bryce, if the stag had possessed just an once more brainpower. Had he honestly expected Wrath to listen to reason? Not even reason, blind hope? And now Bryce's "family" would die. He almost pitied the fallen stag that was still so full of hope. But the harsh reality remained no matter what one believed. The fallen could not rise, and to hope otherwise only hurt oneself more in the end. Nothing would ever change. Wrath could never feel more than fury, and he himself could never feel more than envy.
Envy was careful to stand well clear of Wrath, not wanting to be in the path of the violent stag when his rage spilled over. He spoke to Bryce again. "Redemption? Time? You really believe that don't you? But is there even a point? Even if you and your...family could live together. What happens when your child grows, what stag would claim her? He would take one look at you and run. And what happens when your mate dies, when your daughter dies. When every friend you have made sickens with age and leaves this world as you cannot? What will you have then?"

Wrath nearly exploded with his anger. It didn’t help that Bryce kept turning to that damnable living fox and talking to it. Clearly this fallen was completely insane but Wrath was too far gone himself to make such a comparison. All his twisted mind could fathom was that this fool was talking of redemption and Herne and hope… ha, hope. There was no hope left in this world.
“Don’t want to fight… it certainly seems like you want to fight.” He laughed again and then climbed the last bit up to the outcropping, pulling his body forward with one great heave. He heard Envy’s words as if from some far off distance, but they almost made him smirk. Not even the envious one could find himself desiring this ones stupidity. “Nothing, he will have nothing. I will make sure of that.”
Closer now Wrath took his chance, lashing out at Bryce with his antlers. He didn’t seem to care about his own welfare, just bore down on the other stag.

Limping was a bad thing around the mountain. That was exactly what Gluttony was doing. "Damn this wound! Why won't it heal faster?" he growled to his broken leg. He took a moment to gnaw at the exposed rotting marrow that was trying its hardest to heal the crack. "Well, at least it's trying to heal," groaned the drooling stag. He licked up the blackened spit and continued to limp his way to where he heard the strange summon and the roar of Wrath.
His broken antlers swaying, he saw the three. Wrath, Envy, and some other Fallen he had not had the "joy" to meet. The strange one had to be the one who made the summon. His jaws clicked together in a threatening fashion. "I may just taste this one," he growled. The orange female back with the living still had control over him and had thus commanded him to "research" his "brothers". His skull's grin widened as drool began to slime its way down his face. "I may just have fun! I'm absolutly crazy about this!" he bellowed before rushing into the fray, his broken leg paining him but remaining ignore except for its constant clicking with the movement of his rapid gallop.

"Oh no....." the vixen backed up. Raven wasn't too worried about her own safety; she was high enough to be out of reasonable range. "Bryce! Fight him!"
Bryce met Wrath's antlers. He wasn't as strong a Wrath, but he was smarter..... Much smarter. "You won't hurt my family. Even you can't hurt them," The Fallen speaker snorted with determination, "You want a fight. You've got one." He pulled back. If this was the only way to get the Fallens' attentions, he'd fight.
Bryce had heard Envy, but he had no answer. Not yet.
Now was the time for battle. He bellowed and charged.
