Mystery is the prime source of all the elements. Some theories say that the power of earth came from nothingness, or that the gods delighted in the people and granted few the rights of nature. However the easiest explination would be through the element of mystery.

Mystery is everything and nothing all at once. It can be anything predictable and unpredictable. Those weilding the element of mystery however are usually unstable. One may wish to summon fire to keep warm in winter, and may instead summon a blizzard.

unstable and dangerous to use, it is also known to collapse into space. People who have wielded the power have known to go missing and never turn up, many speculate that the element took back what belonged to it.
