The strange warmth of a body next to him, often unnerved him, though not as it used to. His litter servant was curled up beside him while he slept, akin to a little dog. Lifting his bone thin head he looked down on her and shook his thin mangled mane. She baffled him often, the little goddess of obedience. It confused him how she still followed him so obediently, even after all she had seen.

For a breif moment he allowed himself the touch and feel, his dark, stone like eyes turning to brown, his pupuls vivid for just a heart beat. For that second he allowed himself to feel the headt of the little lioness whom lay so quietly next to him. It was nice, to have a companion.

The Goddess lay silently beside the cold, deadly body of her close companion. She didn't care how cold or creepy he appeared. For some odd reason, he still felt warm, and made her happy with his simply company. It was relaxing; to just nap with another diety whom she relied on. Her wings were large, and covered herself like a blanket. Soon, she rolled over onto her other side, her smiling face towards the God. Still sleeping, she thought about many things; and what the future would hold. Would she really just follow him the rest of her life? It seems like such a waste in others minds, but hell, an eternity following your Master couldn't make such a loyal goddess happier. At the thought, her little tail wagged lightly, as she sneezed in her sleep. Soon she would awake, and another day in the land of Famine would begin once again. It was almost like a broken record, playing the same scene, the same actions, the same mood.

Jaddis watched her quietly and a slight twang came over him. was she wasting her life beside him? Was that why she wanted himt o stop and smell the daiseys so often? It was strange how close proximity could bring you close to another, to consider them friend.

In a way he considered Kenzi a friend, she was loyal, faithful and always had a kind word for him. He half wished he woulc leave her behind when he went to his missions and return to her, call to her even. Perhaps he would suggest that. She would undoubtedly enjoy playing in a feild of long grass than follow him to the land of famine. He waited quietly then, unwilling to wake her, simply awaiting the smiling, happy goddess to awaken on ehr own.

Like a young child, Kenzi began to cling onto Jaddis' bony arm with a cheeky smile. Purring lightly, she cuddled closer to him, as she continued to dream more and more. Mostly, she had thoughts of her mother and father. Even though she could barely remember them at all, there was still a tiny, insignificant drop of memory of them left in the corner of her mind. Shaking her fur, it was another few minutes before she peacefully opened her eyes and peered up to the creepy face of her friend; her love. Or so she thought it was. She didn't care how he looked, or how cold he felt. It was a joyous moment to awaken to her loyal master every day of her eternal life. Smiling as she leaned back up, she stretched her wings and silently cuddled next to him.

Jaddis took in a slow, gasping breath as the doggish lioness cuddled in to his body, his bone thin frame pressed close against hers. When she woke, he couldn't help but smile, his lips bleeding softly a he did so though the smile soon faded away and the scent of his blood, or the pain that perhaps the taught twine perhaps caused was ignored.

"I have something to ask of you today Kenzi." His voice called in to her ears, he did not say hello, or greet the morning to her, it was to buisness as usual. As was his way.

She folded her ears back as she saw a little blood come from the God's lips. "... I'm sorry. Good morning, Master." She opened her eyes fully and looked at the lands below them. She looked back as he questioned, though. "Hmm, what is it, Jaddis? Have a surprise for me?" She sprung up off the ground with happiness and awaited to hear what he had to say to her. Either way, she was enthusiatic about everything at the moment. As it was every other day she spent with him. But, she was rather curious. She looked to the lands and saw nothing but a great adventure awaiting for her to come and explore!

Souless eyes looked the little femme over as he slowly got to his paws, his whole frame screaming in agony, the bones crunching against each other as he reached his upright possition. For a few moments he swayed as if he must return to his belly once more, though he did not he took a step forwards.

"I don't want you to follow me all the way today Kenzi. I don't think it's right for you to see what I see." He went silent then continueing on his path. "I'll find you some where nice to relax and return to you." he stated simply.

Kenzi quirked a brow, and followed behind Jaddis. "Alright, if that is what you wish, i'll gladly hang out elsewhere while you do your job. After all, i'll still look forward to seeing you again later. I'll never disobey you." Smirking, the little goddess was curious to why he changed his mind on things so suddenly. Since Kenzi was pretty used to his work by now. Maybe all her talk of break was going to his head. "Though, I would like to go play and see what the mortals are up to. They amuse me so."

Jaddis' laugh echoed in her ears once again and his shadowy gaze turned upon her for a short moment. "You know you are not truely my servant Kenzi, you are my friend and as such I prefare that you do not see what I must. you're a free spirit and though I enjoy your company, to continue exposing you to that which I have watched for centuries would start to plague your mind." His voice called in to ehr ears, alot of words for really only one thing to be said. he cared about her too much to see her watch over his domain with him.

"... really?" Her eyes widened with happiness at the god's words. So, she wasn't simply a slave or a servant to him. She was a friend, a loyal and obedient friend of the great Jaddis. She still believed him to be her superior, but it warmed her heart to hear him say it all. "Wherever you ask me to go or stay, i'll be sure to listen carefully. Would it be alright if I take a little trip into the rouge lands and see what amusing things I can keep myself busy with? If you don't want me to follow your job, i'll gladly keep out of the way, dear." Smiling, Kenzi continued to follow, until he gave the okay for her to go on her own. Maybe it was best this way. She stayed out of his way and had fun, and he continued to do what his domain called for. It seemed like a good plan to try.

Jaddis gave a gentle nod. "Yes Kenzi, that sounds like a good idea to me. You should be out, enjoying yourself. we will meet up later and you can tell me of your day." The ragged body's lips turned once again in to a smile then and those shadey eyes turned to brown, his dark pupils flashing his soul as he touched the little goddess on her shoulder. "Go, have some fun and i will come and get you later. I will know where you are." His eyes turned to their blank grey stone like orbs once again then and he turned off in the direction he needed to go to complete his task. he would not leave kenzi alone for too long, but she deserved to be out playing, enjoying her life. he didn't want ehr to fear, or hate who he was, he had to continue his job but he could protect Kenzi while he was doing it.

"Thank you, Jaddis. I'll be sure to catch up with you later!" She nuzzled against him one last time before extending her wings and taking off into the sky. Soon she began falling down towards the Rouge Lands, where she was bound to run into fun and excitement. Or, she hoped she would. She just had a feeling today was an exciting day! It made her very happy that Jaddis was allowing her to go off and explore.

It wasn't long before she hovered over the tall grasses and landed in it. She hid her wings and began searching for someone to keep herself busy. "See you later, Jaddis." She smiled as she peered up. It wouldn't be long now.

Jaddis watched as she sailed away over the horizon. He let that ghost of a smile tear his lips as he painfully walked off towards his next destination. He was glad she would have a fun day and also that he could get on with his job without worrying about her. "Have a good day." His airy voice whispered upon the wind to Kenzi's ears before he too vanished over the crest of a hill and outwards to his next call.
