"It's a small world and it smells bad I'd buy another if I had back what I paid For another <******** in a motorcade." so as i'm sure some of you may know, i'm definetly one of the younger members of this guild, and well, my fiancee is turning 16 in the end of april, however i'm not sure what to get him. he has been talking about this single book that is at our local barnes and noble bookstore; its an artbook by his favorite artist (H.R. Giger) the book supposedly has his signature in it as well. however, he hasn't said anything about it since last september due to its price (it's 70 bucks.) what do you think? would that be a suitable present for his birthday? if you have any other ideas (like homemade gifts and such,) please post your suggestions, as i would be very interested in hearing them! :]

I hate shopping for my fiancee. Mostly because I don't like shopping for guys, it's difficult. For his birthday (March 10th) I got him a juicer. Not really exciting, I know, but he wants to start eating healthier. And he totally loved it. But I don't have any suggestions really. redface

I think the book sounds like a good idea. I mean, it's his favourite artist and it's signed. I know this is going to sound weird, but it's a good investment.

Oigh. Present shopping. o.O
It's actually my hubby's birthday coming up on April 5th. I got him the box set of the first four seasons of NCIS from amazon because he absolutely loves NCIS. And then I got super-excited and gave them to him early because I knew that he would be super-excited about them too. Now, in hindsight, I wish that'd gotten him something more practical and less engrossing. He has not budged from the couch since he got them. I'm fairly certain he watched at least 20 episodes today. o.O The sad part is, he's already seen them once already and now he's in the process of watching them for the second time. o.O
The book sounds like a good idea! Especially if it's an artist that he's really in to. If money's tight (which, as a college student, know that it sometimes is) you could try something more homemade. For example, one year, I made my hubby a coupon book full of things that I knew he'd want to cash in on. I think one of them was a home-made, candlelit dinner from his magnificent cook of a wife. biggrin Others were a bit more. . .erm. . .risque. o.O
Anyhow, I'm sure he'll love whatever you decide to go with. He's your fiance, he's obligated to. xd
Good luck!

I agree. I'm sure he'll be surprised and happy that you remembered (and was paying attention ^_^) to something he wanted. The price is a bit expensive but if that's ok with you i'd say go for it.
