This was the first time I saw something of any sort of japanese currect pop culture on tv. There was one season where the reality show Americas Next Top Model took the girls to Tokyo and one of the challenges was to dress in babydoll loli <3
[But god I wish they would just make that show a half hour and cut out all the girl b***h drama and just show the art and fashion]
But if anyone has ever seen the show, I thought the blonde girl did a really good job on her outfit, I want ot steal the skirt she got on the challenge lolz

Imean we all grow up in differnt cultures and differnt things in our society are seen as normal.
But especially if you want to be in fashion you cant just say stuff like that about designs, Tokyo is one of the biggest fashion capitols of the world

Maybe I'm judging harshly because etiquette is important to me, but I think growing up in different cultures has little to do with it. She just plain had bad manners.

Yeah, it's a sign of really bad taste/upbringing to make belittling comments about anyone else's lifestyle, or aspects of someone else's culture. A "top model" wouldn't get by with that.

I'm not shocked to see that a lot of the winners from that show don't get very far in the business.
