"So where are we going this time?" Ioni asked, sighing as he looked toward Via. It wasn't that he minded hanging out with the unicorn. No, he loved hanging out with her, he just didn't alwas trust the places she insisted on exploring to be safe. Some were just down right dangerous! Still, he would much rather be dragged along with her then be at home waiting for Via to come back and worrying for her safety.

Via grinned at Ioni, glancing over her shoulder to her best friend. "I've heard rumors about this secret vally where there's prime grazing. It's like a legend or something. We're going to find it." She stated, trotting on ahead. She ignored Ioni's sigh, smiling. This was going to be so cool! It was said that only the coolest of the cool ever spotted this vally, much less stepped into it. "Come on Ioni, let's go!"

"We're going looking for Acotas Valley?" Ioni asked in disbelief. "You've got to be kidding. Do you actually want to go back home sometime this lifetime? We could look forever and never find it!" The little, black and yellow pegasus didn't mean to be so critizing, but Acotas Valley was just a story parents told their children at bedtime. It couldn't be real, could it?

Via pouted at Ioni skeptism. "Oh come on Ioni! Wouldn't it be cool to see Acotas?" The unicorn stopped, turning to smile at her friend. "Don't you remember the stories?" She ignored the other's nod, instead beginning in a soft voice, staring into the distance ahead with a dreamy look in her eyes. "There once was a time, long, long ago, when unicorns and pegasi hated each other. Each lived on their own side of the great lands we now live on with only a strip of land a few acres wide to serve as a boundary. Times were terrible for those with restless hearts and curious minds. On both sides, they wanted answers about the others. Were those horns of the unicorns weapons they used to empale their foes with? Were the pegasi gifted with wings so that they could drop out of the skies in masses and stampede anyone who happened to be alone and without cover? Fear was thick every where. Everywhere that is, except for Acotas Valley. It became a haven for the few pegasi and unicorn who were willing to go against everything they'd been taught to meet and interact with the others. However, even the valley wasn't entirely peaceful. Fights broke out often and the participents were sent away back to their home land. It wasn't like they'd decided to merge the cultures or anything, but more of a place where they could study each other without fear of retaliation by their own kind. Life continued like this until something happened that everyone had feared but never truely believed would happen. A unicorn and pegasus fell in love." Via paused for dramatic effect, smile at Ioni who couldn't help but smile and roll his eyes.

Ioni smiled at Via, her words bringing back memories of all the times his 'mother' had told him the story. He sighed, nudging Via before taking the chance to continue the legend. "With the love, came a birth of three foals. Everyone was amazed at the fact that they'd been able to produce children, one unicorn and two pegasi, something everyone thought was impossible. But when the foals reached our age the sight of a swirled horn poking through the one of the pegasi's foreheads. The first unisus had been born. Shock and outrage shot through the land as a first reaction. How could such a creature exsist? It just wasn't right equines thought. However, as the child grew up, he charmed equines with his wit and his kindness. Soon, equines everywhere began to wonder if unicorns and pegasi were truly all that different. Soon, more and more equines began to see the other kind. More and more loves like the first began to sprout and soon more and more unisus were born. It took years and years, but eventually unicorns and pegasi learned to live in harmony. Acotas Valley drifted into legends along with the very first unisus that had taught the two sides that it was possible to love each other." Ioni shared a smile with Via as he finished, sighing. "You know, if it wasn't for that unisus, we would never have been friends..." He frowned, stepping closer to nuzzle her. "I'm so glad he came along." Suddenly Ioni seemed to realize just how close he was to Via and blushed underneath his fur. "S-sorry."

Via blinked staring at Ioni. Well, that was rather funny. Now why had he reacted like that? "You memorized it too?" She asked with a smile, before turning to continue ahead. "Just think, when we find it, we'll be the first ones to have seen Actosa Vally for decades!" She couldn't wait and now, with all the research she'd done, finding it couldn't be too far off.

Ioni nodded. "Yeah. That would be pretty cool. But... how do you plan to find the valley?" He had to admit finding the place where the first unisus had been born would be amazing. Still, getting there couldn't be easy. After all, unisus had spent their entire lives looking for the valley and never found it. "If you want I can look from the sky."

"It's easy. I've gone over every spotting that mom could remember seeing and it'd be easy anywhere if you know where to look. It was on the neutral area, remember? And that wasn't wide at all, so I figure we can check the entire area in a week at the most." Via smiled, proud of her plan. "I think it's more of recognizing the vally that makes it hard rather than finding it."

Ioni nodded. "That makes a lot of sense. So what do you think it will look like? It probably won't be visible from the sky right?" After all what would have kept pegasi looking for the vally from finding it? Hmm, this was going to be difficult.

"Well, like you said, it can't be visible from the sky. And sense now one's found it in years, it can't be easy to spot from the land either. I'm sure we'll be able to recognize it when we see it." Via stated with a nod as the continued on. "Alright, we're at neutral ground. Now we just need to search it out." Her voice was excited as she cantered ahead, Ioni following after her. This was going to be so cool!

Ioni found himself growning more and more excited as he followed after the spotted female. They ran like that for hours, occasionally stopping to grab a quick bite to eat or rest. Finally however, they came across a thick grove of trees that seemed to not let any sunlight through. The two looked at each other and then started into the trees with a grin at each other. This had to be it!

They were right. It took half an hour but slowly the darkness filtered away and they found themselves on the rim of a large valley. A canopy of trees blocked out the sky from view and covered the place in a mystical looking green light. Via stared in wonder for a second, holding her breath in her joy before she suddenly cried out with joy. "We did it Ioni! We found it! I can't believe it!" The unicorn nuzzled Ioni smiling. "This is one of the greatest days of my life! Thank you Ioni!" She couldn't put her happiness into words. However, the sight of a large unisus charging straight at them, head lowered to attack was enough to make her joy disappear pretty fast.

Ioni didn't hesitate, instantly moving in front Via, glaring up at the stallion that was easily twice as big as him. The pegasus caught sight of a white crown with golden gems before the unisus reared up on hind legs, glaring down at the two teens. "What are you doing here?! Get out!" Ioni frowned, backing up with Via in worry. "We just wanted to see they place that pegasi and unicorns leared to live together." He exclaimed, still standing protectivly in front of Via. Well, if you could call it protectivly. The tiny stallion's knees were shaking. The unisus paused, glaring down at the two teens. Pure white eyes looked over the two and the elder reverted to two legs. "You two are... friends?" He asked, voice old and wise. He took note of the way Ioni was protecting Via. So the small rumors he'd managed to hear were true. Unicorns and pegasi had learned to live together? And be friends? So much had changed since his youth.

Via watched the elder over Ioni's shoulder, worried. Maybe this hadn't really been a good idea. The other stallion was big and mostly a light gray with dark chocolate symbols. His spiralled horn was golden and his feathery wings were pure white. The crown between his ears sparkled with golden gems and it stood out against the ivory white they were set in. Via hesitently nodded, "We grew up together." She confirmed timidly, stepping forward so she was even with Ioni. (The picture is just the basics of what Acosta looks like, and the lineart and stuff belongs to Soquili.)

The stallion frowned a moment more, before he smiled. "Well then, tell me how life in the outside this place is going. Has the seperation really ended?" The stallion asked, excitment in his eyes. Ioni blinked, surprised at the sudden change in emotion. "Yeah, it has. It's been over for many, many years. It's a legend now." The yellow and black pegasus explained, smiling. "And there are a lot more unisus now too. You're him, right? You're the First."
