http://calculusthemusical.com/audio/It's a real musical!!!! It's taken the songs from other songs...like I know every single tune there is in this musical. Our math class might be putting it on for a project. xD So, what do you think? It was so random, I thought I needed to share.

That's really cool.
I absolutely lvoe musicals!
I watched "The King and I" yesterday, don't know if that classes as a musical though.
I still love the film though.

The King and I is definitely a musical. I've only seen it once I believe, and I love some of the songs in it.
We just put on the production of "Kiss Me Kate", and I'd have to say out of the three musicals I've been a part of in my school, that was my favorite one. It's a show within a show! I love it!
"Music Man" is another we did, its a classic, but the songs get old...really old...
"Once Upon a Mattress" is what we did last year. It was ok (I haven't seen the movie, but the play is different from the movie). I was a bird, so that was fun. When we put it on for the little kids, though, it was funny/pathetic because we made the character Lady Larkin's problem to be that she was 'madly in love' and that's why she needed to be married (as apposed to her being pregnant xD The kids found it pathetic as well).

For my Drama at school, for final exams, we put on a comedy, with just four of us.
It was really annoying, 'cause when we done our first night of showing, someone decided to POLISH the stage. emo
I almost slid off it so many times.
Everyone loved it though, and the teachers said I done well, because I had the most miss behaving people in my group, and I managed to get them under control.
I have heard of "Kiss me Kate" and "Music man" but I have never seen them.

xD That reminds me of my audition for Kiss Me Kate! I mean, my friend and I did a fight scene for the audition. So basically, what happens is (it's a show within a show, so we're acting as a group of actors putting on the musical version of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew) Lilli (playing Katharine) accidentally got flowers and a note from Fred (playing Petrucio), which they were divorced, and they start falling in love with each other again. Really, though, the flowers were intended for Lois Lane (playing Bianca...). So this scene is Lilli finally reads the note during the show, and storms back on stage for an 'improv' scene in old english, involving punching, slapping and biting. xD
So that's the scene we did for our audition. I as Lilli got mad at something Fred said when he's trying to cover up, so I cross in front of him to get off the stage saying "Asses are made to bare and so are you." What he did was grab me around the middle to stop me and say "Women are made to bare and so are you."
Well, that same day I had this stupid interview thing I had to do (they make all the seniors do it, unless you're in the senior English class as a junior, then they make you do it as well =P). So I was wearing flats and panty hoes... Well, he has a lot of force when grabbing me, and I went back, and my shoe went flying off my foot. Then I tried to regain my balance, and I slipped because of my panty hoes. Luckily, I got frustrated instead of laughing, so it went along with the scene. xD
The movie version of "Kiss Me Kate" I wouldn't recommend for watching, its a pretty cheesy version of it. The Music Man, the movie I'm thinking of has one of the same guys that plays in the movie of another musical that I absolutely love, "Victor/Victoria". I think its Robert Preston, but I'm not entirely sure.

Robert preston does ring a bell.
In the play I done, it made everyone laugh, because I had to tackle and take down a guy twice my size (Which I had done in fights before) It made it even funnier because the guy that had been chasing him was his size and couldn't take him down.
so within switching roles,I played a puny but butch police woman. I even scared some people in the audience when I got too close. xd

For "Kiss me Kate", I decided to be rough and gruff in the beginning, and since I was acting as a stagehand, I decided to start telling all the other guy stagehands what to do. It got so fun, we started creating our little skits in the first scene. Like one took his hat off and put it in front of his face in hopes I wouldn't spot him. But then I wound up dragging him all the way across the stage to go paint something.
I love playing parts that are opposite my normal character. Explains why my dream role is the part of Aldonza in Man of La Mancha (she's a prostitute...but her story is so sad! I love the part so much!). Our school would never do it, even though there's a school near us that are doing it this year. We couldn't do one because it had one song about prostitutes in it... "Jeckl and Hyde". All us girls in the select choir want to do the "Cell Block Tango" from "Chicago" for fun, and choreograph it similar to what they do in the movie. We wanted to do it for the sports director that wouldn't let us take one day and go and compete, kind of a payback type of thing. xD
