When Famine was young, his telekinesis had been so out-of-control that he'd tumbled through the air like a hyperactive bumble-bee, bobbing and weaving and buzzing wherever he went. Adults had called him cute. But times changed, kitsu grew, and Famine had long since left behind his adorable awkward phase. The way he hovered smoothly through the air without moving a single muscle of his body was downright creepy.
Laws of physics did not apply to Famine's Nobody blood. For him, gravity was strictly optional.
And so it was that the fine-boned young male floated over mud-puddles and melting snow-banks, towards the so-called "headquarters" building, the run-down remnant of some human's former residence. Famine looked delicate enough to be blown away by a stiff breeze, but neither the harsh mountain winds nor the light rainfall seemed to touch him. He flew to a height in front of the building where he would be visible from nearly all the north-facing windows, and then made his presence known.
"I am looking," he loudly announced. "For Dante Sparda and Vash the Stampede."
If Famine were nervous, neither his voice nor his body language betrayed the emotion. His expression was almost uncannily blank.

Dante was sort of lounging about on the couch in the main outer room when he suddenly heard a voice from outside. Sitting up abruptly, he blinked and then spun to look out the window.
Oh dear. Was that kitsu out there .... floating? He certainly appeared to be.
But Dante had seen far stranger things in his life than floating kitsu. And so after just a moment or two of blinking, he got up and went over to the door - butting it open with his head.
"Well, ya found one Dante Sparda!" he called back. "C'mon in. I'll get Vash."
Then he bounded over toward the stairs and yelled, "Vaaaaash! Someone's here to see us!"

Vash, predictably, had crammed himself into the darkest corner of where he'd been sleeping - not because he was a coward but because he wanted to avoid detection. His experience had taught him that mysterious voices attached to floating people and demanding him by his full title usually meant they were after his bounty.... and frankly, Vash didn't want to be killed - too much to do yet before he could.
So, hiding as he was, he winced as he heard Dante call the creature in like some familiar friend... wait. Waaaaiiiit. Rising, he calmly walked down the stairs, gave a nod of hello as though to a stranger, "Don't know who you're talking about, friend. Haven't heard of anyone going by that in this place." Smiling like a dunce, Vash paused just briefly at the doorway and gave a nod, moving past Famine... only to streak away, figuring he'd be good if his trusty legs could carry him out of the capture.

Famine dispassionately watched the blonde kitsu speed away. Tsk- kitsusagi with emotions were so odd. It would be better and more orderly if they could keep their feelings in check, like himself, Adelais, and other Nobody spawn.
But Famine supposed that the world would be far less interesting if there weren't normal kitsu around to flail and fall and make wars and do other things for his personal amusement.
"If he's correct, then that's false advertising."
He withdrew a neatly-folded flyer from the belt on his wrist, and let it flutter to the ground.
"That's not a viable way to run a business."
The weight of Famine's gaze now rested fully on Dante. It was clear that Famine was going to keep staring until Dante gave him an answer, or the weight of his regard crushed the other male's will to remain in the vicinity. There was more than one way to manipulate gravity.
