You probably haven't seen me in a while. Or remember me. Or even know me. Well, this is Zarow. I am a Priest. I quit-- or went inactive- on Maplestory. I started playing Gunbound, but I... WANT to want to play Maple. But the problem is, most of my friends are inactive now. The PROBLEM is, I have no clue what happened the past few months. The problem is, I don't know where to train. The PROBLEM is, I can't make friends.... This just /sucks/. Everything on Maplestory is just "train, train, train" now. Should I just not bother trying? I just don't know what to do anymore... Windia. Level 71. Priest. Zarow.

Im on Windia too, and I quit for the same reason it sounds like you did. I got bored of training all the time. Now I started up again, and I'm having a competition with my friend to see who gets stronger faster, which makes training fun. I also do alot of quests, and my friends are telling me to do those JPQ thingies....and, maple story recently put some new stuff on, so its fun just to go and do random things in the new cities. :3
If you ever want to come harass me, my IGN is Shinrikyo, and I'm lvl 23! whee

I remember you Zarow ^-^ x]
Your problem is similar to me. But I quit like in November >< I just went on recently and yeah no friends too.. Im in Bera though D: So Yeah Shucks I think if you like training then go ahead and try playing it again or maybe limit yourself to go on and see if theres updates or just when you feel like it x---x
When I went on I got bored so fast though D; The updates still don't make Maplestory a fun game to play for me. The Cash Shop is super expensive and the events aren't as fun as they were before in Maple . The people are still getting more diffrent and most aren't apprecitive anymore. I think it was better for me to stop because I can see the difference in my school grades and work habits and such.
But it is your choice to play or not. :3

I don't remember.. Sometimes it is fun doing quests and stuff, but it gets boring with no one to talk to. And I'm a pretty talkative person.

But it is your choice to play or not. :3 I started to quit in November. Not sure when I really just stopped. Probably about a month before my computer broke. Whenever THAT was. Too bad you're in Bera. I don't really like training- UNLESSSSSSSSS you can give me a good spot to train /at/. Yeah. The updates are more for rich people and hackers. People are unappreciative jerks who care nothing about leveling, being the best, and, oh, the effects of getting married. Can't forget that. Sad thing is, my grade average hasn't changed a bit. I'm a goof off by nature. I /do/ want to play. I /do/ want to play on the /old/ Maple. Crappy community for the LOSE. Greedy business owners for the LOSE. I would continue playing FlyFF, but it doesn't work on my new comp. And Gunbound is kind of getting old. -Shrug- I'm still looking for reasons to log on. To ATTEMPT something. Until I found at least 5, I'm not getting on.

I agree, its hard to play when your a talkative person, because I am talkative too! x3 Once all my friends on their became inactive, I made my friends play, so if they weren't on when they said they would be, I would call them and make them play! lol
JPQ...I have no idea what it is, some kind of party quest. lol My friends just tell me to do it because it's good experience. lol

May I suggest playing Nexon Americas newer release, Mabinogi?
It's addicting, and great. x_x
Maple Story just isnt worth it anymore.
The community is slowly failing, the majority are asshats who are near impossible to make friends with, the hacker problem is beginning to surge again.
Meh.
Mabinogi has a friendly fun community as of now.
You will probably meet a few assholes, as I've only met one so far.
I have yet to see anyone actually being harsh and rude to an excessive to anyone else, but it probably happens somewhere.
But of course, it's hard to really become better then someone.
Everyone has the same equipments, as there are no rare or special ones as of now, everyone has the same troubles making money, you don't even have to play to level.
You can get into the composition of creating Music for Score Scrolls, and you can learn Tailoring and other stuff.
Mabinogi > Maple Story.
But if you MUST play Maple again, well...do it.
Just make friends, and you'll do fine.

I have some-what of the same problem. Most of my friends gotten really inactive. But its probably 'cause of school, most of them quit because they found it boring. Happened to me. The only reason why I stuck around Maple Story for so long was because of my friends. But now since they've kinda gone, so have I. A few of the friends I have now train like crazy just 'cause they want to beat eachother in leveling. ._. I've been playing for a long time now actually. But I quit so many times. sweatdrop I made new friends though. Not a lot, but hey~ at least its someone I can talk to. x3 If you need someone to talk to you can always add me~ :'D My IGN is MagexxAngel. I go on when I can, so I'm pretty active. n_n Add me, and we can talk. blaugh
We have the same Job and level~ heart sweatdrop

Finding friends is really, really easy. I never had trouble doing it.
Finding reliable friends who you can count on, esp on the internets is not easy. That's as true of Gaia as it is on Maple.
My experience has been that after a period of inactivity most of your good friends will turn up after some time. A lot of people switch characters or delete you, not out of malice but because you weren't on. Eventually you bump into them in FM, or bump into their friends who tell you of them.
As a priest, you will be wanted by literally anyone to party with. People love holy symbol, heal and bless. Find reliable people of your level, buddy them, and see if the relationship lasts. Delete the losers, keep the winners, and keep going. At your level you'll be eligible for a high level legit guild in the near future, and those guys are tight with each other. After about 2 weeks of all this, you'll be wishing you had more room on your bl. It worked for me as a bowman, who no one wants to party, so it should work for you, who everyone wants to party.
Keep in mind that as a legit priest you'll be eligible to Zak by level 90. The pros on my server required max Dispel. Once you can Zak, you're everyone's best friend. Being a priest is really good for friends I think.

Yeah friends are really never a problem for me. I casually go on maple once and a while to level up. There's always drama in PQs so that's why i play XD. But if some of you are inactive with your accounts and heavily don't wanna play, i'd be glad to take those accounts in exchange for Gaia'n MCs, and gold.

Hey I remember you! Move to Bera. /Peer Pressure mad
I started playing Maplestory again last week. I quit in like August. The only reason I decided to play Maplestory again was because of my really close friend. My one really great friend D: I'm pretty sure every game that gets popular The losers and jerks will increase by the thousands. ): + it gets harder to meet nice people.
But a lot of high lvl guilds are pretty close so I suggest you join one.

I quit shortly after beta was over and they couldn't move our characters to the "new" maplestory. But i've started playing again (whoa has it changed) I'm on scancia though. And since you are a priest just look for people who need a healer and you'll make friends fast. When I played beta ms, I was a cleric and that's how I made friends (and some really good ones at that) It might take some time to find them, but if you really want to play ms, it's worth the time. =) I'm a level 41 sin on scancia if anyone wants to add me. =p xAdreenax
