So in the Great Hall we were sorting the adults of the wizarding world into different houses, and got into a great discussion about Umbridge. That led me to thinking...why are we in the houses that we are? And since we would sort ourselves, we'd see the house stereotypes represented from all different viewpoints, and maybe learn some new stuff. Basically, in your post you should: 1. State what house Haven sorted you in 2. State what house you would have sorted yourself in 3. Say why (for #2) Then, after we get a few posts out, I guess it'd be nice to have a conversation going about the houses.

I guess I'll begin. I was sorted into Ravenclaw by Haven, and so far all the quizzes I've taken either sort me into Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I'd consider myself a Ravenclaw because one of the main things I try to do is learn something new every day. I love reading huge textbooks on science...yes, even encyclopedias. Is there anything else? I love logic puzzles, though I don't have much patience when I can't solve them...^ ^" Ach! I'm out of time. I'll be back to look at your replies =P

I was sorted into Ravenclaw by the haven. Any quiz I've taken put me in Hufflepuff which in a way fits. My friends all told me I was a Hufflepuff too. My confidence is kind of low so I never expected to be put into Ravenclaw. I could see fitting into either house though. I am fiercely loyal. I can see now why I would fit in to Ravenclaw though. I read all the time. I get attached to a book and it doesn't leave my hand. I love to learn things and research things. I ask a lot of question about things I don't understand.

I was sorted into Gryffindor, I thought it fit well. I thought I was going to be a Ravenclaw at the time...until I realized when I looked back at my post in the Sorting Hat that I used horrible grammar. Honestly being in this guild has forced me to take my time. I am quite great full for that...So I still say that the Sorting Hat was right, and I love being a Gryff! n_n

The Haven sorted me into Gryffindor. I believe that I'm a tried and true Gryff. Every site or quiz I've ever taken hsas put me in either Gryffidor or Ravenclaw, split about Gryff 90%, Raven 10% (on the days when I am having one of my eloquent, wordy, talking-about-a-lot-of-deep-subjects moments.) Not only that, the characteristics prided by Gryffs are loyalty, courage, and those sorts of things. My karate system follows much the same guidlines. We have seven tenents in our system that we are supposed to follow (Courage, Honor, Loyalty, Integrety, Preserverance, Self control, and Indomitable Spirit). I believe that these are the characteristics most common in Gryffs, and I do my best to follow them. So, I believe that yes, I am a Gryffindor. Particularly the Loyalty part.

The Haven sorted me in to Hufflepuff. I would've sorted myself into Ravenclaw. I'm very intelligence-oriented, always trying to learn new things but I understand the Haven's choice. I'm very loyal to everyone I know and everything I believe in. I'm also very nice (even though I loathe to admit it) and love helping people out.

I was sorted into Hufflepuff here in the Haven. I can not think of a better house for me, I've always been a huge fan of Hufflepuff.

I was sorted into Gryffindor, but I would have sorted myself into Hufflepuff. I believe that I'm more the loyal and hard-working type than the courageous type. biggrin And I like the Hufflepuff colors better.

The Haven sorted me into Gryffindor. I sort of saw myself as more of a SlytherClaw. I am very cunning and will do anything it takes, and I am very intelligent, I also consider myself to be quite witty. I still do not believe that I fit into one category.

Haven sorted me into Slytherin. Every quiz I've taken says either Slytherin or Hufflepuff. I really like Slytherin, but other people, despite all the quizzes I've taken, see me as more of a Hufflepuff. I've got no idea why! (nothing against Huffles, of course.)
How come canon Slytherin's don't like Hufflepuffs? I find them to be very charming.

Haven sorted me into Gryffindor and I believe that I belong there. biggrin
I LOVE to read, learn, and study (provided I enjoy the subject, of course), but Gryffindor suits me more than Ravenclaw does because I have a great deal of morals and invariably stand for what I believe is right even if I'm standing by myself. 3nodding I have the positive Gryff characteristics of determination, confidence, and supporting my mates. exclaim Also, I possess the negative qualities of sometimes being stubborn and prideful. sweatdrop I don't fit the impulsive stereotype, however, considering Hermione, Remus, and a few others proves that not all of us are reckless.
I truly do love every single one of the Hogwarts Houses, but there's no place I'd rather be. heart

I got sorted into Hufflepuff in this Haven Guild, yet I've always gotten on quizzes that I make a good Gryffindor, which I disagree with. Sure, I can be very bold in real life and I'm not afraid to speak my mind (I try to be a little more careful on the Internet, since some things can easily get misunderstood here), but I am also a huge wuss. xp I'm afraid of a lot of things, and I personally picture a Gryffindor as someone who is brave and knows how to face their own fears.
So I've got to say that this Haven have been much better at sorting me than any quiz I've taken. I am very loyal and I am the kind of person who people can trust their secrets to. I'm no pushover though; I know that is a stereotype of the Hufflepuff house.

LadyHealingHands said I would be good in Ravenclaw, but I was put into Gryffindor.
I would have sorted myself into Gryffindor too, because I love my friends and will do anything to be safe, jsut like the people in Gryffindor.

I am a proud gryffindor! That is what the Haven put me in at least. I don't know what I would've put myself in. I guess I am intelligent and smart, but here's the thing, I have no common sense for the life of me. So that rules out Ravenclaw. For Slytherin, I really don't have any of those qualities. I have never been called a Slytherin by quiz or anything. Hufflepuff, I am kind and caring, but I see myself more as a Gryffindor. If I really think about it, my personality is basically just like Lily Evans, except I could never hate James Potter, ever. (=

The Haven sorted me into hufflepuff. When I got the news I was so shocked I couldn't believe it. I have always been sorted into either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor and my friends would joke and call me a Gryffinclaw. I mean my best friend wanted to hurt me for saying the Hufflepuff's were stupid. But thinking about it logically I see that I can't be in Gryffindor because I can't stand up for myself. I let other people make my decissions too much to be in Gryffindor. I would have to say I would be in Ravenclaw because I'm really smart. I asked my 2nd grade teacher for homework, and all through my sophmore year in Highschool I was pulling the highest grades ever without even studying. I have always been called Hermione Granger because I never shut up, and I am really smart. Like her. So yeah, the Haven says Hufflepuff, and that's probably because I have a deep love for the military and believe that noone should be left behind, but at the same time i have to disagree and put myself in Ravenclaw.
