Lotus, In Depth

Name: Lotus 'Ghost' Lai

Age: Undetermined, though it's possible she died as a young adult, perhaps around twenty or so.

Personality: Lotus can come off as a bit snooty at first, but when one is a ghost, it's hard to really form attachments to the living. Thought she grew up in a traditional Chinese home, when she died, she was able to travel the world, and developed into a strong, independent young woman ghost. She has a very dry sense of humor and will often make sarcastic or obnoxious remarks without thinking. Despite being a ghost and living for whoever knows how long, tact is a lesson that has eluded Lotus for many years, and though she doesn't have feet, she often finds herself sticking her foot in her mouth. Perhaps the responsibility of child, born from a page or not, will help mellow her out.

Background: As was previously mentioned, Lotus grew up in a very traditional-minded Chinese home. It is thought that she might have died from long-term complications that arose from the foot-binding she underwent when she was a very small child. This possibly puts her death in the early 1900s, since foot binding was out-lawed in China in 1911. Lotus does not like to speak of her death or of her life before death, preferring to say that the 'life' she has now is much more important.
