A mocha colored leopardess stretched lazily in the sun her dark pelt absorbing the heat and making her quite comfortable beside the stream that long ago had started a fight between two sisters. Ajali had quieted down since giving birth, her lapse in mental state had sealed and she was not just average Looney Auntie. She missed her Duma, she was happy that the adolescent had finally set off on her own to make friends, claiming she had a vision that she must meet someone, but did not know where. Ajali respected the almost adult female, but missed making Duma's life miserable by making her meet people.
Ajali let out a long feline yawn that ebbed off into a sort of roar and closed her eyes hoping to catch a nap before Ka, Ishara, and Daima returned from what ever they were doing. The wind rustled though the tall trees and pulled her fur away from her skin allowing her to cool and heat at the same time.

Mleli was in denial about Duma's decision to leave, happy to have called her insane for claims of visions- and just as happy to accuse Ajali's genes for it, since she'd always thought Ajali was a bit out of it. Anyone but herself, that was how things worked for the leopardess. After the one outburst over it, though, she gladly shoved the youth from her mind and focused on her new, beautiful leopard baby. However, he and his cousins were off and there was nothing else for Mleli to do but wander a bit. It was mere coincidence when she came out of the trees to find her sister by a very familiar stream.
"My, my," she commented and greeted her sister in a cheerier voice than she'd been known for in the past, "Afternoon Ajali." Aside from the incident with Duma, Mleli's overall mood had vastly improved after having her perfect leopard child. She was tempted to say if Hiana would leave things would be just how they were always meant to be, but part of her clung to the idea of her last daughter staying nearby.

Ajali's eyes flew open as her sister's voice appeared, she nearly jumped out o her fur being startled that way! The nerve Mleli had to disturb her sleep! Ajali soon recovered of course, happy that her sister was in a semi decent mood. "Afternoon, Mleli, have you seen the boys?" She smiled warmly at the thought of the three of them playing well together.
Ajali did not bring up Duma, but wanted to know if there had been any sight of the young female coming back, she was such a whiny and needy creature, Ajali was not sure that she would make it on her own. "They went off playing or something, I'm not sure, I'm sure though they're safe." All three of them were good boys, not like their bad cousins/siblings.

Mleli wasn't too considerate when it came to chatting with her sister, she hardly felt the extra effort was worth it sometimes- if they were going to fight, they were going to fight and they just had to accept that if they were going to stick around with each other. She shook her head when Ajali asked if she'd seen the boys, "No, I haven't seen them. They shouldn't be too long, wherever they've gone." If Mleli was sure about anything, it was her wonderful son. And she had to admit, Ka and Ishara weren't so bad- just it was hard to beat her little Daima'angavu.
"I have no idea where Kifuno has gotten himself to, though," she commented, taking a seat by the water's edge and curling her tail around her contently.

"We have some pretty great boys," she beamed glowing inwardly about how fantastic the boys were, Ishara and Ka were the light of Ajali's life and the mocha colored leopardess would never let the two of them forget that.
"Kifuno is always around somewhere that weird snake jumps out at me at some of the weirdest moments," she shook her head thinking of the odd golden snake.
"Do you suppose you'll ever have children again? Do you think anything could top your current baby? And the first litter?" She knew that Mleli was attache to her one pure son, but what if she had another litter of pures?

Mleli couldn't help but beam when Ajali mentioned their good boys, her own mind going immediately to her own darling little one, just as Ajali thought of her sons. Her mind even flitted to the snake, he was a boy- and not too bad, if she did say so herself. Especially if he was so good at startling Ajali, good to keep her on her toes.
"Oh, I don't know," she said off-handedly, glancing at Ajali almost suspiciously when she mentioned more cubs, "I doubt I could top little Daimu. Why do you ask?"

"Oh I don't know, I feel like a bird that's pushed all the babies out of the nest, soon enough my boys will find loves wander away from home, I heard a lioness say once that males are leavers, but little girls are your's forever. Having another litter would help sooth some of the ache, I miss Duma," she murmured, "Not that the boys are not wonderful and exciting, but I miss little girls, I've never felt close to Hiana...Duma..was so odd, like me." she flashed an odd little grin.
She wondered if Duma was really nuts, if she had visions of someone she was supposed to meet, why had she not said so earlier instead of springing it on them and leaving? It was crazy, but Ajali was a bit nuts too.

"Boys leave, girls stay," Mleli repeated with a snort, trying to apply that to her first litter. It sounded about right, except for Kafiri- but then she had always clung to the boys, so that was about right. Deep down she didn't blame the brat for leaving, though she resented it. And she hoped that this logic did not apply to Daimu. No, her perfect little boy would never leave her like the others did.
"Well, I'm certainly not able to remedy this feeling of yours," Mleli pointed out, "I suppose you're saying you intend to go off and get yourself pregnant again." It was not a question, though she wasn't truly as sure as she sounded. More Ajali babies was less than appealing, more leopards for Ajali while all Mleli had was just the one. But her one was better than Ajali's two, there was no reason to worry about more.
