It was the night time and Lucretia always knew that he slinked away just before dusk to go 'check' on his daughters, but Casanova was fairly sure that she knew otherwise. He had lately been talking with another lioness, but she didn't seem to interested, so tonight was his night to find fresh meat. As the sun fell he loooked like a a real gentleman heading to an evening masquerade, but would he find a dance partner this night? Or would he go stag?

(I don't have a color for her yet D cool
Elizabeth Jane Darcy lay upon a sun-warmed rock, soaking in the last of the day's rays into her body and reveling in the heat it gave off. Her paws were tired, and her body seemed to yearn for rest, but her mind was growing restless, and we all know what that does to someone. She was ever alert and watchful...something about this land was wrong...morally wrong...but she couldn't quite figure it out.
Not to mention wasn't sure how she came to be here in the first place. On one paw, her past seemed like a distant dream, a nearly fogotten dance at a ball when she'd spend the night coursing through with her partner overshadowing all, but on the other, she sensed this had always been her home. She suspected that this place had never heard of such a thing as a ball...or really knew what dancing with a partner was like.
Thinking of her (dream...?) past, she grew more disoriented and decided the only way she could put an end to her worrying was to find someone who could truly tell her where she was. Maybe she would find some nice bed (den?) to sleep in as well....
Pausing long enough to make sure she was presentable, hair in good shape, dress unwrinkled, she very carefully stepped down from the rock (a lady would never jump!) and began her search, looking more and more, as the minutes passed, like a woman at a ball looking for her partner. Maybe whoever she found would have her dance card...

His restless feet had carried him a good distance away from his pride but this loneliness only craved the attention and possible lust even more. He stopped for a short while, shaking his neck he made sure his ruffles were in place, dusting off his shoes with his tail feathers... a tail... goodness that was weird... he still hadn't gotten used to these feline features, yet he seemed perfectly cabable being a lion.
Starting his looking again, a sigh escaped him. It seemed all had failed already. How was it that he had been looking this long already and not even find ONE female!? He seemed like such a failure... maybe it was time to go back to Lucretia... "Why hello..." he said under his breath as he saw the lioness.
He hadn't seen such a beautiful lioness since Lu... she was dressed like him, if not nicer. "That's hard to beat..." He said with a pleased smirk. Straightening himself up quickly he began hs strut over to her, making himself seem single... and looking.

Liz's gaze was upon the moon when the male first saw her, her brown lock flowing down the right side of her face and neck, pale (skin?) fur gleaming in the moonlight and creating a spotlight upon her...or so it seemed. She gave a sad sigh before turning her gaze to the land around her in hopes of spotting someone...anyone really...
What she did see took her breath away. He was clothed as elegantly as she was, and carried himself just as a gentleman should. You could tell he had alot of confidence just by the way he walked. She admired him for a moment, a smile touching her lips before fading away to a more solemn expression. Something seemed...wrong...about him, but what it was, she couldn't put her (hand?) paw on. Eh...perhaps it'd come in time.
Having very little time for introspection, and noticing he was on his way over, she stopped and waited, seating herself quietly and letting her skirts flair out around her in a pool of silvery silk, her tail curled near her front paws showing the roses in a fan-like pattern in almost the semblence of a bouquet of flowers and matching the brooch on her lace chocker.

Casanova didn't even break his stride as a soft gasp escaped his maw. She was drop dead gorgeous. Letting his glasses slide to the end of his nose it definately seemed like the moon was spotlighting her, highlighting her beauty. It showed the delicate frame she had hidden in the pools of silk at her feet, immediately he had to take a deep breath to slow his fluttering heart.
Making his way up to her gracefully he bowed low, respectably. "M'lady!" He said excitedly as rose from his bow. "M'lady," he began again, calmer, politer, "how is it that I have not come across you sooner? You look like you are fit to ball room dance my dear!" It was the first thing that came to his mind... certainly she'd understand what he ment.... hopefully...
He was slightly nervous but he made it seem like he was confident. Moving his digits around he played with his ruby ring... god she was gorgeous...

Lizzy bowed her head to him, smiling despite herself at his excitement, and glad for the attentions of one like herself. In more ways that one it seemed too, and she was visibly pleased, especially to hear the word 'ballroom' though why she wasn't entirely sure. She hesitated for a moment, usual social graces called for a third party to do the introductions, and be the one having facilitated the meeting, but she quickly recovered and gave him a winning smile and small curtsy at the same time offereing one paw for the customary kiss.
"Perhaps I have been waiting here all this time for you to come, and maybe I should ask why you didn't arrive sooner. A lady hates to be kept waiting....and I should hope so! A lady does not go around dressed in her finest to pull a few weeds from her garden plot just to try to outdo the beauty of the flowers."

Catching her paw gracefully with his own ringed paw he gave it a kiss, well a lick in this case and looked at her over the top of his glasses. "Well M'Lady I do hope you havn't been waiting long. Had I known you were waiting for me and not some other suitor to take you around in the light of the moon I would have hurried all the sooner to greet you. M'Lady I am Casanova and I would love to be in you attendance for the evening, possibly a stroll around the lands?" He said ever so smoothly, his tail flicking quietly behind him as his steady gaze beheld her.

Liz gave him a mischevious demur smile. "My what confidence you have...who ever said it was specifically you that was to meet me? Perhaps it was some other gentleman who missed his chance. Still, it seems fate hasn't disappointed me even so. Elizabeth Jane Darcy, and I'd be delighted." She stood up carefully, unconsciously smoothing her dress before taking a step forward so she was closer. "It's a beautiful evening...have you been here in these lands long, sir?"

"Well I have caught hold of this man's chance and taken for my own," a smirk curled around his maw. "but would you have been dissapointed had I been any other man besides this Casanova you see here ready, as if, to take you gliding along a dance floor for your very presance makes me wish to do so Lady Elizabeth." Waiting patiently for her to smooth her dress, he himself shook his neck a little to re-fluff his lacey collar. "Indeed I have, although I long to go back to Vienna. I should say I have been here long enough to know where I am going... that is unless you'd like to get lost with me on this beautiful evening." He would of course chuckle at his own little joke and looke before them to somewhat plan a course in which they'd stroll.

They had been talking and walking together quite some time, and Liz was more than happy to let this beautiful specimen of a human/lion lead the way. It was wonderful to speak of such topics that they’d both experienced, and she was a bit sad to learn he wasn’t sure how he’d arrived as well. If he did, certainly he’d of gone back by now and her luck would not of been so perfect as to meet him this night.
Finally, as her stomach growled, she broached the subject of how one might obtain food around this land. She made mention of seeing a few other lions earlier in the evening, but being scared of such creatures, she’d made sure to stay hidden and hoping one would not come across her. When finally confronted (with a bit of banter mixed in) with the answer that typically here females do the hunting and killing, Liz had fainted. This is how we find her now, sprawled un-ladylike on the ground (for how does one faint like a lady?)….

Casanova really didn't have a place to be except besides Elizabeth. He knew that after this night he would be craving to see her again and again. Lucretia just didn't know what ball room dancing was like or proper courting (not like Cas followed those rules anyways). He couldn't frown around Liz, she made him too happy. "Maybe we can find a way out together, m'lady. How does that sound?"
"Elizabeth! Elizabeth!" he called as they had broached the subject of eating and she had fainted beside him. "Elizabeth!" He said a little softer, his tail wafting fresh air to her face. "Please darling, wake up!" He was almost a little worried now. "Elizabeth..." His voice was almost a cooing as he saw her reviving. "My goodness you are as pale as a ghost..." He said as he nosed her cheek. "Darling you must be in another world if I would ever let such a fine lady such as yourself fend for yourself when I am around." He purred lightly and continued fanning her face. "If you don't faint again, I'll bring us some dinner..." Nosing her cheek again he flicked his tail under her chin before hurrying off into the night.

"Oh...goodness, I must of been dreaming....oh!" Liz blinked a few times as she struggled once more to figure out where she was, and started for a moment to see a lion wearing clothes before it'd all come back to her again. "I think...I think I'm okay...." She forced herself to sit up, nearly falling over once more in wooziness. If anything at the moment she could do with a glass of water and nice comfy chair to sit in and rest for a few moments, but glasses and chairs were not to be found in this land along with alot of other things. She managed to smile at Cas, quite taken with him already, he really was such a dear as he fanned her face to give her some air. Poor thing truly had no idea just how much of a culture shock this new life was going to be to her. "Please, yes, my stomach could use something to settle it...goodness, I have no idea when was the last time I ate..."

Casanova smiled as he ducked into the shadows, Elizabeth sure was something. They hadn't been to far from food, he had noticed their tracks were rather fresh as they were walking. Maybe his stomach was talking to him? It didn't take him long to take down a nice sized zebra, but he couldn't do it as cleanly as he had wished. He had spotted his lacey cuffs with the crismon blood and had managed to smear the blood all over his maw. Not to mention the Zebra... it had scratches all over from where Cas had brought it down by its rump. He drug it back towards Liz, the zebra's broken neck in his strong jaws.
Just as he drew closer he dropped it a good couple feet away so she wouldn't see the worse of it quite yet. "Elizabeth, darling, dinner is served." He said rather happily as he pawed his way over to her, as if to escort her to her chair of honor at the dinner table.

Liz kept her eyes glued to her paws as she tried to take it all in after Cas had left to gather some food, which she had assumed would be something like berries or such. Hearing paw steps, she looked up to see Cas stepping away from a zebra that was lying down. In the darkness, she couldn't really see the blood at first, since it was too far away and the moon behind a cloud, and wondered why she'd never heard it get near. Giving a questioning look to Cas, she saw the blood on his maw and collar and cuffs, a small "Oh my" was heard before her eyes rolled back to the top of her head and she fell back over with a thump.

Cas cursed himself and licked at his maw, trying to clean up the blood as he hurried over to her. "Elizabeth!" He called between licks as he fanned her again. "I'm sorry darling! I didn't realize I was quite so messy... you'll never get any dinner if you keep fainting... or maybe your fainting becuase you're so hungry?" He kept talking, fanning and licking until she was awake and his mouth clean. "Elizabeth? Darling, are you ok?" He was careful not to flash his cuffs about her but he didn't know he had gotten any more on him, so his collar still had a heavy blood spot. "Dinner's getting cold..." he cooed again.
